  • @dpjennifer I did a lone star some years ago and it turned out great... I've actually been thinking of doing another once recently. I was still pretty new to sewing and I remember those Y seams being a real PITA :) Good luck with it... I'd love to see a work in progress pic, or a finished pic later on if you want to share...
Your probjects are beautiful BTW.... I've dabbled in cake decorating, but have never had the patience for the more elaborate ones. Good job!

  • KristoKekerooni Wow... those are amazing paper flowers!

hedgepig I'll have to look for pictures of the partially assembly quilt. I was working on it over the winter, and my dog Starlord "helped" several times (aka, I have a bunch of pictures of him laying on the pieces as I'm trying to line it all out and do math). But, it's been put away for the summer as I have less time to craft in the summer.

@KristoKekerooni Lame! Maybe they'll show up later...ah well. Those flowers in that bouquet are STUNNING (as are you)!!  The finished product for mine looked like this:

  • @hedgepig sorry my dog is on the quilt... but heres about where I left it a few months ago. The top center is all pieces together, was working on piecing a border together:

  • @KristoKekerooni I love the skinny couch table.  That is on DH's project list.  He also wants to add a plug to the top because our couch blocks a prime outlet!

You are all so talented!  I've been dabbling in brush lettering and watercolor.

I sew a bit - only easy things though!  I'm thinking about seeing if my grandma can give me some quilting lessons, but am not sure I have the patience.  I like quick projects.  *possible TW* I made curtains, crib/changing pad sheets, and cloth wipes for DD that I'm super proud of. My next project is some leggings for her and drool pads for the ergo. *end TW*

Does anybody here use a serger?  I don't sew knits a ton and am wondering if it'd be worth it.
