@JennyColada We're going to have to agree to disagree. I like fruit on certain salads, especially if it's paired with some kind of sugared or honey roasted nut and a fruit-vinaigrette. But if you threw fruit on like a cobb salad that would just be weird.

@looeeze Peanut butter is gross. I hate how it sticks to the roof of your mouth.

@vflux33 you are a lovetit whore for sure. I like that. Makes people feel nice!
Oh I have another one- I hate when people refer to their cats as "kittehs" or "meowmeows" or anything that's supposed to be cute. I don't think it's cute. My SIL does it all the time and I love her dearly but I want to throttle her whenever she starts that "miss you meow-y much" garbage.
@looeeze I LOVE peanut butter, imo you're wrong. Crunchy or creamy, pb is my jam.
Also, mmm love me some strawberries in a salad.
And I'm a lovetit whore too! I fear that people will be like ugh, WTF are you lovetit'ing every post for, but meh. If I get a chuckle out of it, I'm gonna lovetit. I wish there was a way to lovetit multiple times in fact.

@looeeze Oh man, I might annoy the shit out of you. Because I'm obsessed with cats and can't have one for at least 2 more years I obsess over random cats I see and MH and I nicknamed the neighborhood tomcat "Dr. Meowser".
@vflux33 It's not the obsession over cats that I mind. It's using cat-related words in the place of other, real words. Names of cats do not apply to this rule, because that actually is cute.
@becausescience, I will occasionally eat a sweet pickle, but dill are the best. I could eat an entire jar. @lurvleybunchococonuts I couldn't stomach a raw tomato until a few years ago, now they are good on burgers, but gross otherwise. @lurvleybunchococonuts it does make me a little twitchy but don't feel bad, I'm like this because my SIL is insane about it and her voice goes up an octave or two when she does it. It's like she has her own language dedicated to talking like a feline-obsessed toddler.
I hate raw mushrooms but I LOVE raw tomatoes (raw onions depend on the context IMO and can go either way--good in salsa, bad in sandwiches). @lurvleybunchococonuts do you live somewhere with really good tomatoes? My mom hates raw tomatoes where she lives, but when she visits me she loves them. She says the ones where she lives taste too watery.
You guys are weird. Raw tomatoes are the best. *drools* I'd totally eat them like apples with YH @beanship. Also, reality shows/bachelor/bachelorette aren't appealing. Fruit is delish on salads. Peanut butter is best crunchy, but always good (more-so by the spoonful by itself). And love-titting is the best. I love love-titting. Sometimes I love tit almost every post in a thread (like the IF thread), because love-tits can show support or love or agreement or hugs or congratulations.
There are good tomatoes and bad tomatoes. Season, variety and location of origin matter a lot.
The worst shows on HGTV are (in order) as follows: 1) lakefront bargain hunt 2) beachfront bargain hunt 3) property virgins (is that the name?) 4) flip or flop

@doxiemoxie212 on lakefront/beachfront bargain hunt. I feel like they made those to waste time because they ran out of other shows and didn't want to play as many repeats. The people in those shows are very boring, and the shows are produced in the most boring way possible. And it's weird how there's never any conflict, ever.
So speaking of house shows: I'm not into a lot of reality shows but I have a few exceptions: anyone here watch Flipping Out?
Haha @doxiemoxie212 Yes, those are pretty rough. I do like Fixer Upper so I guess there's one reality show I watch.
@looeeze I love peanut butter. It's probably one of my favorite flavors!
I'm in the middle on the raw tomato debate. I don't like vine tomatoes raw but I love grape and cherry tomatoes. We have a cherry tomato plant so I snack on them while outside.
Love-tits - I love-tit other people's posts, but otherwise I don't usually pay any attention to them or even notice them. Peanut butter - awesome, but only the natural kind. Sweet pickles - not usually a fan, but I have recently developed a love of bread and butter pickles. Fruit in salad - I used to hate it too, but now I'm totally down. Reality TV - absolutely the worst. Tomatoes - from the store they're usually awful, but that's not their fault! Get you down to your Farmers' Market and get some real tomatoes. Or better yet, grow your own.
UO - I don't like it when people are proud of being picky eaters... like, don't brag about all the stuff you don't like! Learn to like it and everyone will be happier. Especially you.

@hedgepig I'm with you on bread & butter pickles, I could eat those all day long. With some raw tomatoes on the side.
Re the bachelor/ette: I tried for a while but I just can't. I don't find vapidity entertaining and those shows just make my blood pressure rise. If anything destroys the sanctity of marriage, it's the premise of The Bachelor.
I'm with @looeeze on the Batchelor. I know it's suppose to be bad but it just irritates me. Right along with Teen Mom and all of the "Wives of _____" shows.
@looeeze I don't know if The Bachelor destroys the sanctity of marriage. It might destroy the "sanctity" of engagements, but there really aren't many failed marriages in The Bachelor realm - there just aren't many marriages, period. And while I personally think it's bananas to agree to get engaged to someone who you've spent a collective 72 hours with, plenty of people do that isht IRL.
If you want to hate on a show for destroying the sanctity of marriage, check out Married at First Sight. Lol. I've tried to get into that show, but I can't. Too bonkers.
@zamora_spin Wait... you put peanut butter AND fruit on your salads?

@doxiemoxie212 sanctity of the idea, anyway. I just know way too many anti-marriage equality people who don't seem to find anything problematic about those kinds of shows, so I suppose that sort of hypocrisy plays into my dislike as well. But it's an UO for a reason, right?
@holly321 with you on Harry Potter. Got half way through book 4 and was like... meh
I love tomatoes, peanut butter and fruit on salads! Pickles are up there with my favorite foods.
I don't like Bachelor (or most reality tv). I am not offended by it I just don't find them entertaining.
My UO (keeping with the food theme)is I don't like fish. People keep telling me if I just try it in a different way I'll like it. I've tried it, it's yuck
@lbeach5885 I like fish, but I don't understand when people say they like fish as long as it doesn't taste too "fishy." I mean....it's fish. If you don't like a fishy taste, then you don't like fish.
@doxiemoxie212 I wish I had that luxury. I'm in a super duper red state and have to hide my political views from people (for various reasons, mainly involving my and DH's work).
@lbeach5885@holly321 do you guys prefer twilight? For some reason I find people either adore one or the other. For me, I absolutely love Harry Potter and it's my fandom. The books got better the farther along you went because they grew with the characters. And books>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>movies
@hedgepig I'm not constantly counting the lovetits on every post, but I definitely notice which avatars pop up the most and which almost never do.
@looeeze I'm with you on the vapid thing. I get why people find it entertaining, but it's not my thing. The few reality shows I do watch aren't really about that (examples: Flipping Out, Dual Survivor, Alone, Gold Rush--that last one may be a FFFC, but MH's an engineer and he watches Crazy Ex Girlfriend with me so it's a give and take).
@zamora_spinMayo is gross, yeah. Like you, I can stand it when it's in a sauce or dip or something, but I can't eat it on its own, like on a sandwich. It really bothers me that people consider it a default on sandwiches. I can't count how many times I've read a description of a sandwich that had no mayo only to discover mayo when I ordered it. And it's worse because it's not easy to remove--it always gets on everything!
@AlohaKumu I don't like jello either. The only time I ever managed to each jello was when I went to parties long ago where they were all filled with vodka. Those go down dangerously easy...
@beanship Oh, I totally disagree. Fresh fish is great. It definitely has a flavor that is different than not super fresh fish. The not fresh fish tastes "fishier" to me. Also the type/species of fish have an impact--I think some taste "fishier" than others.
@zamora_spin@vflux33 I am an avid mayo enthusiest. I am obsessed with a particular brand if mayo that you could buy on Amazon before it was popular. Yup, I'm that person.
I have an allergy to tomatoes, so I'm benched on that debate.
I detest gravy. Brown. White. Chunky. Smooth. Any gravy. The smell of it used literally make me gag. I'm ever so slightly tolerant of others eating it near me at restaurants.
