Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? Just a blood panel. It went fine, except I didn't realize I'd need to PIAC. So trying to pee on demand was fun lol.
Cravings? Lemonade. Totally obsessed with it right now.
Rants/Raves? Poor DH has been so sick the past few days. I think he has the flu. I'm trying really hard to not get it too.
Questions for FTM, STM+? Not this week!
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s).
Two pets - Archer, whose a 3 year old black lab, and Oliver, whose a 2 year old orange and white cat! Sorry for the huge photo. Can't figure how to make it smaller. But I love it too much not to share!
I had my meeting with the OB coordinator last week which was just paperwork and deciding which tests to do.
Cravings?
None.
Rants/Raves?
I will never understand the need to comment on another person's body, especially to their face.
Questions for FTM, STM+?
Nada.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Share pictures if you want! Yep! We have four and would probably have more if it were up to me. Hopefully the pictures aren't huge
Two dogs: Barley and Otter. Barley is a pit/ridgeback and Otter is a pit/terrier. They are the sweetest dogs I have ever known.
Barley:
Otter:
And another because they're so cute.
Two cats: Gatsby and Gus. Gatsby is the first animal we adopted and will be 7 in two days! My coworker found Gus in the middle of the road when he was 3-4 weeks and I took him immediately. We had to bottle feed him and it was the cutest thing ever! He's named after Gus Gus from Cinderella because he had the biggest belly when he was a baby.
Gatsby:
Gus (had to include a baby picture!)
He's actually a lot darker now but I don't have any recent pictures on my desktop.
Question- Im just 12 weeks and I cant button my jeans..... and they havent been comfortable for 2 weeks now. I havent gained any weight though. Im still the same weight but Ive obviously gotten bigger. Im kind of upset because I keep reading in the maternity thread that FTM mostly dont start getting bigger till 18 weeks or something. Its not even pregnant belly, its just my gut getting bigger
And here are my 4 legged children. We have Carlos, the round Corgi mix, Coco is our Coconut Retriever puppy,
@livingoffpbjs I am with you on the pants... I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and have only gained like .4 lbs but if someone saw me wearing a tight shirt they would think I'm 18 weeks pregnant! I'm blaming it on bloat.
I had my first US last week and it was great! It finally feels real! HR was 141 and was only measuring 7 weeks even though I was 7+6 that day but my OB said since I'm still within a week of my due date according to my LMP she is keeping it the same.
I have a question (which I could probably google...) Can I go through the full body scanner at the airport security? Or should I ask to walk through just the metal detector one? Not sure if it's ok for baby or not.
Also, we have a pit/terrier with the same markings as your Otter @gusgus14! Here she is (Ella) wearing her life jacket for when we go to the lake next month. She is an awesome swimmer but I know if we are just lounging in the water, she will want to be out there too and would completely wear herself out... she's not exacrly thrilled about the life jacket, haha.
@livingoffpbjs my jeans and work pants have become so uncomfortable this week I have to unbutton them any time I eat. It's def not bump, though I wish it was. I feel your pain.
How far along are you? 12w4d
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go?
NT scan tomorrow!
Cravings? Milk and sugar cereal
no rants/raves or questions today!
we have two dogs: Oliver (puggle) and behr (bulldog mix)
@livingoffpbjs I bought maternity pants at 11 weeks and have resorted to mostly dresses now at 13 weeks. I have also been wondering why I'm so obviously showing when everyone says I shouldn't be yet. Just keep reminding yourself that everyone's body is different! I love it because DH is none the wiser and has started kissing my bloat belly at goodnight, no complaints here!
@carlyk414 I just asked my ob this question today! She said that there is no known risk of going through the full body scanner - that being said, it is radiation. She said when she was pregnant and traveling, she always opted for the metal detector one but I have her blessing to do the full body scan if it's way less time to go through the security line or something like that.
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? I have my CNM follow-up & another U/S tomorrow! DH & I decided to go ahead and do the genetic testing, so we'll hopefully get that scheduled soon.
Cravings? Still liquid cheese. My cholesterol is going to be shit if I can't curb this!
Rants/Raves?
Questions for FTM, STM+?
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Share pictures if you want!
I have a 7yo Siberian Husky named Anya. This photo's a few years old, but she doesn't sit still often so here you go
Yes Friday for ultrasound, genetic counselor and genetic screening. I'm nervous about getting the screening results (I'm 38 now, 39 when baby comes)
Cravings? I wish. Nothing sounds good.
Rants/Raves? The bloat! So miserable.
Questions for FTM, STM+? I don't know which brand screening test I'll take yet but do they all take a week to get results?
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Share pictures if you want! Yes my cute rescue pup Rico. He's a true mutt, did his DNA test and it was funny... chihuahua, lab, pit, Doberman and other unknown.
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? No appointments this week. Appointment at 12 weeks got results of chromosomal and carrier testing, all came back with no abnormalities. I just wanted to know to be prepared. SIL has Downs Syndrome and needed heart surgery within first few months so I wanted to be prepared in case that was likely.
Cravings? No cravings, I've just found things to avoid (soups and baby carrots).
Rants/Raves? I'm with everyone on the bloat, so frustrating. It was really bad around week 10, my pants all started to be too tight. I started eating a lot more fruit and veggies then the bloat reduced and my pants fit again. Really weird but I weighed 3lbs heavier at 10 weeks then I do now (thought I'd gained 6lbs but I'd only gained 3lbs).
Questions for FTM, STM+? None
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Share pictures if you want! DH is allergic to everything with fur so no pets for us. I have two nephew puppies though that I get to cuddle with then change clothes and wash my hands, Squiggles and Rudy.
@darkrose88 that stinks when you have to PIAC but didn't expect it. I had that happen at my first appointment, had to sit in the waiting room an additional 30 mins chugging water.
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? Last week I had a redundant first prenatal visit at my new doctors office. It went well! Waiting on my prenatal labs to come back.
Cravings? Water! I'm so thirsty!
Rants/Raves? I know it's too early to "show" but my belly is poking out because I'm so bloated...yet it's too early still to tell the world so I have to try and hide it with baggy shirts
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Share pictures if you want! I have pets! I'm a veterinarian so it comes with the territory! I have 2 dogs: April who is a golden mix, Durham who is a corgi mix; 2 cats: Chauncey who's is a gray and white medium haired, and Seize Soixante-Quatre who is a cream longhaired! I also have 10 chickens!
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? Yesterday! Got to hear baby's HB and find out that we are team blue!
Cravings?
Fruit is sounding delicious.
Rants/Raves?
Rave: Yesterday was awesome! It feels so much more real now! Rant: This constantly hungover feeling needs to stop so I can work out again.
Questions for FTM, STM+?
#1: is it safe to try and tone up your legs, butt, back and arms a little bit during pregnancy? I'm not a huge fan of working out but I also want to feel good through my pregnancy and take care of my body since growing a human is no picnic. So I'm talking about body weight exercises like pilates or yoga and resistance bands. #2: any tips for headaches? I've been avoiding Tylenol and trying to rest up, eat well and stay hydrated but I'm thinking they are hormonal since it's not really helping.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). We have two furbabies! Jaye is our 14 year old Persian-Maine Coon and Kinley is our 6 year old miniature Aussie.
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? We had an appt with our new doctor on Monday (was seeing fertility dr up until then) and had an ultrasound. We saw the baby moving around a lot!
Cravings? Potato chips and donuts. NOT GOOD. I am vegan and obsessed with vegetables but I don't want them at all right now. And my favorite food ever is popcorn but I have had zero desire to eat it. The sight of chex mix grosses me out but I can eat just Chex. So weird and fascinating.
Rants/Raves? I can't wait to show because until then I am just going to look a little fat and it's beach season!
Questions for FTM, STM+?
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Share pictures if you want! Bella and JoJo! Jack Russell Terriers
I am so in love with all the fur babies!!! Thanks for the GTKY, @darkrose88!
How far along are you? 11 w today
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? Today! Had a good first visit with my OB's office (had been with RE prior) and had our first abdominal u/s. Babe was measuring on track and had a healthy heartbeat of 172.
Cravings? Nothing specific today.
Rants/Raves? Really looking forward to a mini-vacation next week for the holiday. Not going anywhere, but happy to have some time off!
Questions for FTM, STM+? Not today.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Share pictures if you want!
We have 3 dogs and a cat! All adopted from rescues or the pound. Lucy will be 12 on the 4th of July - she is an 80+ pound Husky mutt and my best girl. Cooper is a medium sized black and white dog, probably 9 years old. Super friendly, loves people, really playful. Dock is a terrier of some sort. He is white with black spots and is a typical terrier - moody, silly, cuddly. He sleeps under the covers between us every night. Wiley is our nearly 4 year old cat and like most cats, he can either be super sweet or he can be a Class A asshole.

Me: 40, DH: 35 / Married: 2009; TTC #1: 2013

TTCAL with RE (RPL specialist): February 2016
2016: 3 medicated TI cycles —> 3 medicated IUI cycles: All BFN
Had my follow-up today at 11 weeks 4 days. Fetus is showing a cystic hygroma on the back of the neck. DH has been quiet and I feel devastated and overwhelmed. We waited 2 years for our BFP & just told our families this weekend. We've been referred to the Level 3 in our area for a follow-up high-def U/S & consultation and are currently waiting on the genetic test results. I should get a call from the Level 3 tomorrow to schedule that appointment. I know I'll be classified as high risk at this point and am coming to terms with not delivering at the hospital we'd chosen and the probability of a cesarean. I'm trying not to focus on it too much. There are too many potential causes and too many potential outcomes for me to mentally process right now (from resolving itself on its own to fetal death). I might lurk a bit more than usual the next few weeks until I find my center again.
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? I had the stomach flu this weekend and ended up in the ER due to dehydration. I got to hear my baby's HB for the first time! I'm much better now, thankfully. I was glad for the inadvertent check on the baby through.
Cravings? Not really, but food isn't quite right with me just yet after being sick
Rants/Raves? I'm excited for my 12w ultrasound next week and to do the genetic/sex testing!
Questions for FTM, STM+? Is it odd that I'm not showing yet? I feel wider (lol) and I'm a size 14 to begin with.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? Yessss! My fur babies! Tucker and Lola. Tucker is the smaller mut . He's the tan one and we rescued him 3 years ago. Lola is our big baby girl. She's a year old and quite the handful lol. She's a boxer/pit mix. Lola was starved and left at a truck stop with her brother. We took her and my brother took her brother ❤️
@WildMagelet I'm sorry for the uncertainty you are facing. It is understandable that you may want to step back from the boards. But we are here for you. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope for it be resolved in a way that doesn't cause harm to your LO. Big love to you and your DH.

How far along are you? 11wks 6 days(just updated today from original EDD)
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? Had an appointment with my GP to follow up on initial blood tests and dating US. All seems good but I need to re test for possible Hypothyroidism
Cravings? Nothing, but starting to feel hunger instead of nausea
Rants/Raves? Kind of confused/frustrated deciding between a Dr and midwife. Only met with a midwife once and any time I called to get test results I wouldn't get a call back
Questions for FTM, STM+? Did you worry or have an issues with your Dr or midwife being occupied with another mom whe
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Yes two mischievous cats, a ginger and an all black one. They have very different personalities but we love them for it.
STM lurking... thinking of you and your LO @WildMagelet
@dgaugler86 totally normal to not be showing yet. With DD I didn't actually "pop" until week 20ish.
@westcoastbaby2018 I delivered DD in a large hospital and didn't have any issues at all with my doctor being preoccupied with another mom. The nurses are the ones who will be with you most of the labor and the doctor will come in to check as you progres...and then when it's actually time to deliver.
How far along are you? 12 weeks today (per gestational age from our last ultrasound, but i think my due date didn't change, it's still 1/17 which is almost a week different)
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? Had our last appointment last week, so glad DH could come too and see the baby
Cravings? Same - Fruit (apples, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries), my blood sugar must be out of control! haha
Rants/Raves? Rant: Told my parents last week, will be the first grandchild on my side. They didn't seem very excited, nobody said anything mean or rude, but it felt weird...On the plus side, his side of the family is pretty excited Rave: Had pizza for the first time in about 2 months yesterday! I almost felt completely back to normal yesterday, i decided to take advantage and have pizza since the thought of it didn't make me start gagging/dry heaving. Yum!
Questions for FTM, STM+? Did anyone else have parents or in-laws who didn't seem into the whole grandchild thing at first, but came around in the end? My friends think that maybe they were just in shock since it's their first grandchild...I'm not too sure, but trying to stay hopeful.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Share pictures if you want! So, the obsession of my life for the past decade has been my two kitties - Gilbert (ginger kitty) and Sammy ("little" gray one). And they are big boys (both close to 20lbs). My screen name is inspired by them
So glad I clicked on this thread because these animal pictures are insanely cute! Hugs to those of you struggling now... I would also add re: the tight jeans (STM here) that you don't get a big belly until later, but that doesn't mean your body does not start shifting things around. My pants were definitely tighter toward the end of the first trimester, and I "gracefully" and with no shame moved into leggings
Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? Yup, NT scan and OB intake appointment. Both went really well. Baby's HB was 153 and one image captured was the baby laying there with his or her's ankles crossed and arms behind the head. I almost died, so cute!
Cravings? Yes, fruit and alllll the cereal.
Rants/Raves? I rant for feeling like crap the past two days and breaking out like a pubescent boy. I. Am. So. Over. It. Oh and the bloat, yah that too.
Questions for FTM, STM+? Not at the moment.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? What is/are their name(s), species and breed(s). Share pictures if you want! We have a (6) year old cat, Thumbelina. She's a polydactyl cat, hence her name. I also rescued the cutest pup (2) years ago named Atticus, but my mom was wayyyyy too attached to him for me to bring him to move in with me. He gets to visit often though!
@gilsam1 when I told my parents that I was planning to try to conceive, they were non-plussed. In fact the only person actually happy for us was my father-in-law. When I shared the news that I was pregnant though they were all very happy - I think my mom and dad needed those 8 months to get used to the idea (this is also their first grandchild). I think your parents will definitely come around!
I have been kind of AWOL for a bit. Things with the end of the school year got intense and with my anxiety disorder I was overwhelmed. I am free now though so should be back to participating!
