LOL I found responses of mine from two years ago on her posts. From when she was having her first baby. And now she's trying for her second. Annnnd I'm still here. Ahhhhh I feel sad for myself now.
When we started TTC #2, I cutely thought out loud to my husband, "Wouldn't it be great to have a boy this time?" And do you know what I was rewarded with? Months of doctors visits where no one would care that I hadn't had a period in five months and wrote me off, saying "Maybe you'll be pregnant for Christmas." And then finally, three doctors in (this one, a fertility specialist) I got a PCOS diagnosis and medicated cycles to HOPEFULLY get pregnant with any baby the universe thinks I should have.
And you know what else? I have it so much easier than many of the other women here. I know that their pain BY FAR eclipses my own. If you had read anything pinned to the top of this board, you would have known that posting a question like this would be frowned upon and that it could very possibly hurt someone. I really wish random people would stop using this community like its Google. There are human beings here.

You know I wasn't going to say anything, but it's driving me nuts not to.
OP while I'm sure that you won't read this, I hope that you will and I hope that anybody else wanting an answer to your question will read this as well.
OP I'm going to start my 11th month of trying to get pregnant on Sunday. It's terrifying. It's when you start to realize that just having sex, taking vitamins, taking progesterone supplements, using OPKs, and taking your temperature every morning isn't going to get/keep you pregnant. It's when you start coming to terms with the fact that there are going to be a lot of medications and tests and procedures and it's all going to cost a lot of money. It's when you start doing research into all of this and find that none of it comes with a guarantee. I'm going through all of these emotions, but I am thankful because I know that it could be worse.
So that's what I ask you to do OP, be thankful. Be thankful that you have a child. Be thankful that you're not worried about your ability to get pregnant. Be thankful that you're not worried about staying pregnant.
And when you do get pregnant (boy or girl) be thankful. Be thankful when you're puking your guts out. Be thankful when your back aches. Be thankful when you have to constantly pee. Be thankful when your shoes don't fit anymore. Be thankful when you're having contractions. Be thankful when you have to get up in the middle of the night for that baby. Be thankful knowing that there are tens of thousands of women who would give ANYTHING to be hugging the toilet, to be struggling to find a comfortable way to sleep at night, to have a take home baby.
@KariAnn323 That is heart-wrenchingly accurate and beautiful in such a sad way and I'm so sorry that there are so many of us struggling but at the same time, so happy I have this community to come to that understands what it feels like.

well... 9 months, 2 miscarriages, 4 chemical pregnancies and 1 successful pregnancy later, I am currently typing this reply while breastfeeding my gorgeous and perfectly healthy, 6 week old SON.
nothing in this world is guaranteed, just be happy you can conceive at all, many would gladly take your place.
