Ladies,
I love these sweet nursing sessions with my 21 month old. Out of nowhere, my nipples hurt during nursing or I feel indigestion when he nurses on my left side.
I never thought I would be this attached to nursing, but I would be devastated if he weaned anytime soon.
Please share your nursing and pregnant stories and advice with me.
Re: Want to hear your experiences - who is still nursing?
My breasts don't usually get sensitive during early pregnancy. I haven't noticed a difference at this point.
My son nurses so randomly. Most days is 3x a day and on a particularly rough or such day, as many as 6-7 times. Either way, it's such a sweet time.
I'm a firm believer in body boundaries but I'm feeling bad about pulling him off when nursing hurts. Feels like I'm back in the newborn stage of pain, but I can't remember any of the tips and tricks to ease pain.
edited because my son clicked post before I was done while, you guessed it, nursing!

Someone mentioned above wanting to keep up nursing throughout to help with the newborn nursing pain-I had weaned about 3+ months before DD2 was born and the newborn pain wasn't nearly as bad as with DD1, but oh my, the after pains while nursing....wooo not looking forward to them getting worse this go round.
Still nursing him with plenty of milk. Nursed my oldest until I was 18 weeks pregnant with my twins... only stopped then due to some light contractions...
We can do this!
I remember the aweful uterine "massages" but not pain when nursing.
Just got my BFP today and will be joining March when it opens up but I am nursing my 11 month old. I am hoping to be able to nurse throughout pregnancy but am so nervous about losing my supply. Does anyone know of any good ways to try to keep it going? The OB office suggested lots of water and a high protein diet but looking for any other tips too!!
Also... eff the after pains. I forgot that they get worse with each delivery. Not looking forward to that...
Also, sorry to those with bad after pains!! Now I know what you're talking about. I do remember feeling the contractions but I was so hopped up on life by that point.
thanks for the encouragement
Take a picture! I don't know about you all but I took so many when he was small. I have very few of the last 5 months. I know it will be something I treasure later.
I was so worried he would wean. Your stories reminded me to stay present, in the moment and positive. You ladies are wonderful and I'm really looking forward to this relationship we are building!
Thank you!
