Beach tent or beach umbrella?

So this will be our first summer going to the beach with lo.We never attempted it last year lol. I'm not sure which would be better to get, the beach tent or an umbrella?

    If you get a tent, look for one that is a pop up, or at least easy to assemble. When we went last year, we had one that was a little complicated to put together. Spent more time putting it together than actually using it!

    We got one of those beach cabana/tent. Offers more shade then an umbrella. We haven't used it at the beach yet but it only took me 10seconds to set it up.

    That looks pretty awesome !  Is it a pop up one given the 10 secs pop up?  Do you have a name/reference for it if you recommend it?

    It's basically a pop up. I just had to fold out two legs and then pull it up. Very easy.

    This is great!  We're going to the beach in a week.  Now I just need to convince DH it's a good idea :)
