I know I'll probably get flamed for not putting this on page 17 of the weekly symptoms thread, but I wanted to share what I'm doing to combat morning sickness and wanted to have a place where we could share remedies since it's certainly something a lot of us are currently dealing with or will be over the coming weeks.
I get all day sickness which means I'm actually alright in the mornings, but progressively get worse until I feel pretty lousy all day long. That's how it was for DS, that's how it has been this past week since the nausea kicked in. I haven't thrown up much, but a lot of dry heaving and generally feeling awful. That is until today, when I actually feel a lot better and some of the things I'm doing seem to be working. I feel really good now for the first time in days.
Here's what I've been doing along with perceived effectiveness:
#1 - Magnesium Oil. I think this is the single thing that has made the biggest difference. I started spraying it on myself two nights ago and felt better yesterday and feel even better today. I would highly recommend giving it a shot.
#2 - Protein. I've been eating a lot of fruit and carbs since that's what I've been craving but I've found that when I force myself to eat meat or eggs I feel a lot better afterward. I ate a burger with no bun at lunch and feel great right now.
#3 Apple Cider Vinegar. The jury is still out on this one. Mixed with water and honey, I took it this morning and I feel better today than I have all week but I don't know if it's that or a cumulative effect of the magnesium oil. It certainly helps with indigestion and since it's generally good for you I'll probably continue to take for the foreseeable future.
#4 B6 and Unisom. I took this at night for two nights and while it certainly helped me sleep, it didn't do much for my nausea the next day. I can't take Unisom during the day because it knocks me out so I've stopped using this remedy.
Anyone else have things they are doing that are helping with nausea?

Re: Nausea remedies
I have had crackers by my bed that I eat immediately upon waking. I also have been sucking on the preggie pops you can get at Target in the family planning section.

I've found milk relieves my nausea for a bit, but need to get ginger ale. Will diet ginger ale do the trick too, or does it not contain the real ginger when it's diet? I'll have to look into pregnancy pops too.

My brother/SIL recommended preggie pops and they're great. Short lived, but a wonderful short lived it is haha.
Watermelon helps with the heartburn and queasiness too.
Ginger chews did NOT sit well with me, but gingerale is okay. @Zoey1019 I believe Canada Dry has real ginger.
@Zoey1019 I'm sitting at work with a thermos of milk, a bottle of Gatorade, and a glass of water, popping Tylenol. I'm sure my coworkers think I'm hungover, which is exactly how I feel, actually. But drinking the milk has helped keep the queasiness from getting full-blown. What kind of protein shakes do you drink?
