June 2017 Pre/TTC & Grad Check-In

Welcome to the monthly pre-TTC, TTC, and TTC Grad check-in. This board is designed to allow those of us considering our next child to update the other members of June 2016 on that journey. Please feel free to post often in this board, updating as the month goes on if your status or details change, or if you have anything inspiring/sassy/a fun gif/etc to add. We are here to provide each other with support, comfort, non-medical answers, and help with the BSC symptom spotting that we know can happen.

Re: June 2017 Pre/TTC & Grad Check-In

  • I know it's early for most of you KU ladies, but can i request bump pictures? That was one of my favorite parts of our group was seeing everyone's growing bellies (and now babies).

  • Your bathroom is gigantic!  Lol. I'm pretty sure my spare bedrooms are smaller  :D
P.S you look fabulous!  It *almost* makes me miss my bump.

Thank you for the positivity!  I really don't mind the bump, but the bloat is uncomfortable...can't wait to feel the baby again in there. :)
The walk-in shower is around the corner and the attached walk-in closet (right next to the mirror) is officially bigger than my room in college.  It is definitely our dream/forever house and we will not be moving anytime in the near or distant future so we tried to knock as many of our wish list items off as we could.
  • I'm 13 weeks tomorrow!! I'm still blumpy, so no bump pic yet.

Had the NT scan last week and everything looks good!! We go Tuesday to the OB, get to hear the hb too!! So excited :) won't find out the sex until closer to July.

Ive had nausea and some puking, but nothing I can't handle. DD is almost walking, so she's constantly on the move and I get tried a lot easier these days.

  • I've got a question: anyone have any tips on getting a cleaner looking chart whenever you've got a kid who insists on waking up motn about 50% of the time still? Would something that consistently monitors temps be better? Just look for general trends and ignore the fact that Fertility Friend basically has open circles on all of my temps? Or just pick up some OPKs and pay close attention to cervical mucus? We haven't started trying yet, but I'm trying to prepare myself and get back in the mental swing of things

I found cervical mucus to be much more reliable. My temp charts looked like shark's teeth sometimes.

That's what I figured, but I relied on BBT last time and it's my safe space now. Also, I always give myself a little bit of side eye whenever I assume I have EW CM because am I really sure? And then it's over and I'm all 'crap, that was it'. Guess that just means extra BD whenever I think we might be in a fertile period

  • I'd use CM.  I remember that taking my temp always stressed me out.  I checked for mucus too but didn't get true EWCM until the month before I got KU and we Did the deed then and boom!  Baby!
  • Pre-TTC. Still on the fence since I have mthfr, previous losses, was on bedrest for 10 weeks, GD and I will be 36 in august. I also have a lot of back, hip and sciatica problems since having Briar. Doctor after doctor and getting no where. I have been on some meds that I am weaning off of if we do decide to do this. But with all they being said, I have an appt 7/11 to get my iud out. Let's see if I show up haha! Good luck/congrats to all who have started this journey!!
  • One of the ladies on the September board just had her baby. 28w4d. It is way too early to have this "we could have two babies at any moment" feeling!

Prayers for her baby! I was thinking about that the other day, my good friend is due with twins in September and I was like she could have them at any point here on out. I had mine at 33 weeks. Good luck keeping your little baby cooking!
