I remember somewhere in one of our Weekly Randoms someone suggested this thread to mirror our Stupid Pregnancy Advice thread and I think we should definitely keep it going.
So what stupid things and oh-so-helpful advice have people said to you now that your baby/babies has been born?
Re: Stupid Things People Have Said Now That Baby Is Here
Personal favorite so far: "Don't hold him too much or he will be too needy" ...apparently my newborn needs to be more independent even though DD is proof that you can hold a baby almost 24/7 and they will still be an independent toddler.

Also, yes! Babies are literally the epitome of needy. I don't get why the second they're born people insist you can't give them too much affection or they'll be too needy. Like sorry, but of I have to wipe someone's behind for them, they're kind of needy.
Another mom at the pool kept encouraging me to get a night nanny for the twins since "all" of her friends got them and they were "amazing." Thanks random lady, do you want to pay for that for me?

BIL, who's a flipping moron, said he was surprised DD was so fair skin (like me) and didn't have a darker skin tone (DH is half Italian) since babies are born looking more like the father so the fathers don't up and leave their families. He was surprised when I explained that's not how any of this works.
MIL, which must be where BIL gets his moron from, said BIL raised a good point and that it made sense.
It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
Also the commenting on baby's body. People say she is so tiny and/or guess her age as younger than it is. She was born a little bit small but has been growing very rapidly. She's now near 50th percentile but was 25th before. Not THAT tiny. I think that people just forgot how little newborns are.
