Friday Ticker Change 6/16

Due 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23? You go here!

1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby?

2. How are you feeling?

3. Any appointments this week?

4. Rants, raves, questions?

5. GTKY: If you can only choose one, which do you choose: unlimited fuel, unlimited groceries, unlimited airfare?

Re: Friday Ticker Change 6/16

  • Mobile bumpin'...

    1. 6 weeks, size of a sweet pea.

    2. Utterly dreadful. MS has kicked in and Diclegis makes me fall asleep at my desk... should be a fun 8 weeks to go.

    3. Yes, U/S on 6/21.

    4. MS sucks.

    5. Unlimited airfare. We have family all across the country and it would be nice to jet off for a long weekend here and there.

    1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby?
    5 weeks. Appleseed.

    2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good. Mostly just bloated, a bit tired, and constipated on and off.

    3. Any appointments this week?
Nope! Doctor's appointment on the 27th, first dating ultrasound on the 30th, and MW appointment on July 11th.

    4. Rants, raves, questions?
I've been having long cycles and didn't ovulate/conceive until CD25. I'm thinking of lying to the ultrasound tech and telling her my LMP was exactly 14 days before my actual O date. I find they're young and don't understand that not everyone ovulates on CD14. I'd tell the truth to my MW. What do people think about this - good or bad idea?

    5. GTKY: If you can only choose one, which do you choose: unlimited fuel, unlimited groceries, unlimited airfare?
Unlimited airfare is clearly the best value!

  • 1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby?
    7 weeks blueberry
    2. How are you feeling?
Absolutely awful. No energy at all.
    3. Any appointments this week?
I had one on Wednesday saw baby and heartbeat!
    4. Rants, raves, questions?
I feel like a dead beat mom these past two weeks. I just don't have the energy to go out and do things or get down on the floor and play with them right now. I've been relying on Netflix to be my babysitter way too much lately and I feel awful about it!! I feel like I'm wasting out precious summer days
    5. GTKY: If you can only choose one, which do you choose: unlimited fuel, unlimited groceries, unlimited airfare?
inlimited groceries for sure!! Food is my husbands love language lol
  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 7 Weeks, Raspberry/Playing Die

    2. How are you feeling? Meh, a little heartburn, a little nausea, super tired still.

    3. Any appointments this week? This past Tuesday. Had an ultrasound, great fluttering heartbeat at 134, and happy mama. I see my normal ob in two weeks, and I’ll have a million questions for her I’m sure.

    4. Rants/raves/questions? RAVE!!! I SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! I didn’t wake up to pee or because I was uncomfortable. I slept through the night. I haven’t been this excited about anyone sleeping through the night since DS started doing that.

GTKY: If you can only choose one, which do you choose: unlimited fuel, unlimited groceries, unlimited airfare? Unlimited airfare. I live across the country from my family so it’d be nice to visit them when I could/want to. I know. So boring.haha

Yeah, not really sure the point either. The ultrasound tech is simply going to write down the age the baby is looking and send it to the midwife so I'm not sure what this would accomplish

@itsrandiyo @sabriel1 So that they don't think that something is wrong and ask me to do a repeat dating ultrasound to make sure the baby is measuring on schedule. Maybe I'll tell her both my LMP and O date.

ETA: I don't want them to keep using my LMP as my EDD because it a difference of 11 days to when I actually O'd. I don't want to end up being forced into being induced because I'm "overdue" by 11 days.

    3. Any appointments this week?
Yes! Confirmation and ultrasound appointment on Thursday!

Rave: I purchased a pregnancy pillow already since I couldn't get comfortable at night and last night was the best night's sleep I've had in weeks! It was amazing.

Rant: I'm constantly SO nervous about the baby. Every little pain and or twinge makes my mind start going at a million miles a second. My SO has been SO supportive though and just knows I'm already in mama bear protective mode lol.

starla  yes! This is my concern, I don't want them to induce me because I am "over due" because I ovulated a week later then a normal person would. I think as long as your doctor is informed of the dates, I don't think it matters what you tell the ultrasound tech...?
  • Sidebar: @itsrandiyo your SN makes me giggle for no real reason. I love it! Maybe it's because DH made us watch allllll the Rocky movies before watching the Creed movie he bought.

@starla I also have long cycles...tried to explain this but I was met with resistance from the nurse at the intake appt...I just let them tell me initially I was 8 weeks  (but I knew I was only 6)...they told me that my doctor would measure at my next appt. Then at my OB appt she measured and said, oh looks like you are a little over 6 weeks (duh!). So, I wouldn't lie..just tell them what you know :)
  • TattoosandLace I am still getting a grip on the abbreviations and I even went and looked at the dictionary thing..does SN mean my username? lol i'm also embarrassed because I don't get the rocky reference ether  :'(

  • @itsrandiyo yes, SN=screenname. ;)
  • I ordered the Mayo Clinic book, "Expecting Better," and one that Amazon recommended called "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy." I started with the last one because it seemed to be the most interesting read, and it is, but it's based on zero actual information, and only offers anecdotes from the author and her friends (hence, Girlfriend's guide). I skipped to the chapter on exercise while pregnant and all it is is a list of reasons you shouldn't exercise AT ALL during pregnancy. So as much fun as it is to read her prose, I'm going to have to ignore her advice and just read it for the stories.

I'll have to add that to my list. I also didn't like that What To Expect had no references
. I don't think the Mayo clinic one lists references, but it's written by doctors so it doesn't bother me as much

  • @starla I totally get it. I'm measuring 4 days ahead of my LMP, 2 days ahead of my ovulation date. I have  23-25 day cycles and the OB I saw last week, not my normal OB, said that they wouldn't change my due date unless it was a 5 day difference. i told DH and he was like "whats the big deal with adding in extra days?", I was like "ummm... because then I'm pregnant for FOUR. MORE. DAYS." The last few weeks were freaking miserable last time. So like... not really that big of a deal. But 4 more days when I'm already going to be scheduling a repeat c-section. I'm cool with not having those extra days. haha
