R/R: rant: today is my bff's little girl's 5th bday. She's my little munchkin!! Her family and H & I are going to breakfast at a Disney resort. Then playing at Magic Kingdom (except for H who has to go into work). Rant: I did something to my neck yesterday. I was talking on my cell and when I got off, it hurt extremely bad to turn my head to the left. I've been using a heating pad but don't know what else to do since I don't want to take ibuprofen.
CS/Q: so yesterday the pinching stopped around noon. Then today I got a .4degree temp rise. Again!!! It could be a fluke and drop back down tomorrow, but this temp rise puts me at my normal post-o temps. Is it possible to O twice? I wish I had thought to use opks these last few days. If that was O, I'm screwed on timing.

@purplg8r people can ovulate twice in one cycle, but it is exceedingly rare, so while I can't say its impossible, I wouldn't assume thats the reason. Its much more likely that something else is happening (you didn't actually O the first time, this is a fluke temp, breaking thermometer etc...) Temping isn't 100% and there can be mistakes made from just reading the temps. I would wait to see what the next few days of temps do and then also just wait to see if your period comes/when it comes

drop. With all the open circles and negative OPKs, it might still be up in the
air for you. As for La La Land, I think most of the disappointment for people
came from not understanding the references or expecting something different. If
you think you’re there to watch a Rom Com, or even a modern musical, you won’t
be a fan. If you love the golden era of musicals and recognize that La La Land
is a love letter to those musicals while being a timeless revival of the genre,
it takes on a whole new meaning of awesomeness.
@Augusta108 DH and I switch off on a lot of things, but he
hasn’t really been a health nut since high school. He typically does crash
dieting or says he’s going to exercise (then doesn’t). Hopefully that changes

@Dilynne Keep us posted on your situation. I'm sorry that you are feeling so bad and I think it's total BS how you were treated at the ER. Around here they give out pain meds like candy at the ER. I worked in a pharmacy for a long time and used to see it every day. It's frustrating to see stuff like that and then hear about someone in legit pain not being able to get any help. I hope that you get some answers and relief soon!

R/R: OK so big *TW and DD here: As some of you know my sister recently had a loss. And I feel so bad, and I'm trying to support her etc. But she got this very wrong idea in her head that people who do IVF are "lucky" b/c of being able to genetically test embryos. I politely told her that this didn't mean mc would be prevented by IVF and that people who have IVF def get mcs too, but she's not having it and just ignores those comments. She keeps telling me how "lucky" it is that I'll probably end up at IVF (she's aware of the low IUI stats so knows IVF is likely for us). I don't know WTF to do with her at this point. Losses are horrible and I don't know what that's like but she doesn't know what this IF shit is like and she does not get it at all and doesn't get how callous her remarks come off. I'm really upset about this. She had the nerve to bring this up again yesterday via text when she knew we were in the car on our way to the IUI. Like, I don't want to hear that BS, sis! WTH. *End TW/DD

I have to say, I once was on the receiving end of a plane that was supposed to go to Wisconsin but got rerouted to go to NY, and I was so happy about it because I'd been delayed 4 hours lol. Donnie Darko! I was debating putting that because that was another foundational one for me. The soundtrack still gets me. RE: your sister, I think she sounds like the kind of person who always thinks the grass is greener on the other side, and perhaps struggles with actually imagining herself walking in someone else's shoes (real empathy). From what you've said about her previously, it sounds like you spend a lot of time choosing your words carefully with her and walking on egg shells around her, but it doesn't sound like she's being as careful with your heart, and that's no fun. I get that you feel like she's going through something traumatic right now and want to be supportive, but IF stuff isn't necessarily less traumatic, and she's actively hurting your feelings. I think if you've tried explaining to her how emotionally damaging it feels to have someone you care about diminish a very real thing you're going through/could be going through, and she still isn't willing to at least keep those thoughts to herself, maybe you should consider backing away from the relationship temporarily. She's important, but you are too.

@vflux33 Yay for IUI! I am sorry about your sister. I would maybe try to talk to her when is isn't bringing it up about how her remarks are hurting you and you want to support her, but to say that you are lucky hurts you a lot. I had a co-worker who is SO EXCITED for me to be pregnant, and she asks every day if I feel pregnant yet, and I had to tell her today that asking me that real hurts because I know IUI has a low success rate and I don't want to get excited just to bring myself crashing down.

@Augusta108 DH and I switch off on a lot of things, but he hasn’t really been a health nut since high school. He typically does crash dieting or says he’s going to exercise (then doesn’t). Hopefully that changes soon lol Happy cardigan hunting!

@Dilynne Keep us posted on your situation. I'm sorry that you are feeling so bad and I think it's total BS how you were treated at the ER. Around here they give out pain meds like candy at the ER. I worked in a pharmacy for a long time and used to see it every day. It's frustrating to see stuff like that and then hear about someone in legit pain not being able to get any help. I hope that you get some answers and relief soon!

@doxiemoxie212 I've had flights cancelled for no reason before. Once United "gave" our plane to Chicago to a flight going to China when the flight going to China had a problem, and we missed our connecting flight. I yelled at some people and got 2 75 dollar vouchers that will probably expire before I use them.... Glad YH figured it out!

@vflux33 I've had a similar situation with my sister.. not about ttgp at all. but another situation that we both are involved in.. but we are in opposite mind sets about it. and she refuses to see my thoughts on it. its hard. especially cause it makes me worried for her. so to avoid conflict, I literally don't talk about it with her. so sometimes alittle distance just needs to happen.
