Trying to Get Pregnant

WTF Wednesday

It's a bit late in the day but that just means that you've had time to get a burr under your saddle.

Re: WTF Wednesday

  • WTF... WTF to my MIL who continues to ignore my DS in favor of SIL's three kids who live in the same town as her. I get that they are right there but with technology these days, you could be a lot more involved. I'm also struggling with my anger over all of the in laws visiting in a couple of months; SIL wants to take MIL to Disneyland, but when we invited her twice in the past year to come out and go with us and DS she said she couldn't possibly go without SIL's kids. And then promptly went to Disney World with them twice without my kid. Double standard much?? Eh. I'll get over it. :unamused:
  • @mdfarmchick Preach it, sister. You could be describing my MIL. Ugh.

  • @fishsticks-n-custard that just makes me sad.
  • @mdfarmchick I swear you could be talking about my BFF's MIL! They all have season passes to Disneyland and her MIL will constantly ask her other sons' families to come with but will not even mention to my BFF that they are going. I feel so bad and my bff gets so hurt. :( I'm sorry that she treats your family like that!
  • @vflux33 Right??? And of course, we are the mean girls like always *grrr*
  • Went to hospital for severe pain, got told I had no real pain, to take over the counter meds and stop drug seeking.

I could see if maybe I had ever asked for drugs before but I'm 26, haven't been to a hospital since I was 19 and have actual pain to the point when my PCP sent me to the hospital because she thought they should take out my gallbladder.

  • @Dilynne Ugh that super sucks! ER/ED doctors are notorious for dismissing unseen pain. Is there a specialist your PCP can refer you to instead?
  • @Dilynne I am so sorry they're essentially telling you nothing is going on and to get over it :( I hope they figure it out and help you! A few years ago I went to the ER for severe chest pain. I couldn't lie down, and could barely breathe without pain. Got told I likely aspirated something and sent me home with an inhaler. Went to my pcp the next day, I had pericarditis. Creepy hugs and hope you feel better soon!

  • Oh man, @Dilynne, I'm with @SkilledSailor that's crap. I'd ask for a referral.

@JennyColada I'm sorry for your BFF. It's definitely hard to deal with. She should just plan to go and not invite her ILs to go with.
  • My WTF is at the meowfaces. They destroyed one of the window screens in our bedroom. Stoopid cats, you don't even like the outside!

@JennyColada - Amazon is frequently drunk for me. I always feel like I'm in the twilight zone anymore because that always happens to me. :astonished:

  • My wtf is lazy coworker at work.  She was at work Monday and is off the rest of the week.  I fill in for her when she is gone, well it's never ending issues and she is only been gone 2 days. First she doesn't enter some payroll in for for a few people for the last week in a half.  Then someone who had an issue Monday all she did was send an email to have someone else figure it out instead of figuring it out self. So he came back today wanting to know if any thing has been figured out and I looked into it and I'll have to do a little more research but he seemed shocked that I was going to figure it out myself instead just passing it on to someone else.  It seems it would be easier if see just left and I did both jobs

That really stinks about your MIL @mdfarmchick.  Very frustrating

Me too!!!  I must know more about noodle cat @lulu1180
  • Haha @BusinessWife it's the only noodle restaurant in the Cleveland area and it's amazing! I've only been there 2 or 3 times but it hasn't disappointed me yet!  And not only do they have tasty noodles, they also have steam buns!  I haven't tried them but DH has and he definitely approved!!  I think I've had the pork miso ramen and the spicy octopus udon and possibly something else but it looks like they've changed their menu a bit so the other thing may no longer be available there.  The only reason we haven't been there more is that it's downtown and not exactly convenient for us when there's so many amazing options in the suburb that we live!!

***tw***@dilynne, I got essentially the same response when I went into the ER with the worst pain have ever experienced in my life by far with my first miscarriage. They were all like, you look like you're overreacting. Here's an adivan. Now go home. Prior to that, I had never taken pain meds stronger than Tylenol or Ibuprofen in my life
