@hedgepig I am a mechanical engineer. I design parts that get 3D printed (additive manufacturing) and I use solidworks which is a computer program for 3D modeling. Total nerd right here!
Testing: next Thursday or Friday before leaving town
R/R: GUYS. It's 120 degrees today. FML. Get me outta here...
CS/Q:
GTKY: Congratulations! You are now a college professor and your first class starts in 15 minutes. What subject are you qualified to teach? What advanced topic do you cover?
@LoveInDC It helps me if I keep telling myself that I can have some...later. Keep going! I'm glad to see that you're a Hemingway, too.
@Augusta108 I do not envy his editor! I cannot tell you how many times I exclaim, "Words have meanings! You have to use the right one if you want me to know what you're talking about!"
@mispanda Congrats on kicking the Diet Coke habit! It's nice to have so many other options these days so you can still have something fizzy and fun, though. I do the La Croix coconut + the Pom juice. I'm not a huge fan of it on its own but mixed with some fruit juice, it's pretty good.
@scoogy19 Breastfeeding can cause some upheaval with your cycle. I would definitely add temping to confirm O so you know if you're getting fakeout LH surges.
@doxiemoxie212 OMG, YH. It makes me sad that we can't all just feel good and to not have others judge for whatever shade we are. Oh, I'm too white. Oh, she's too dark. Oh, he's not dark enough... It's really insane. But it is hilarious to imagine him going around all pink and sore and insisting that it's bronzed.
@purplg8r Well, I guess that's better luck than you initially thought, though?
@JNCPro3130 What about adding something to make it cozier? Like the rolled up towel under the fitted sheet thing? Or a guard along the side? Maybe he just feels so much more exposed and less safe than before? As for temping, just take it when you wake up and save that. You're better off having one that was taken at the wrong time (because there are ways of adjusting for that) than one taken after you've been awake.
@KSMcClary I'm in the manufacturing sector, too. What kinds of things do you design?
@hollieileen That is...hot. I'd be fascinated to hear more about Ambiguous Grief and Loss!
Month/Cycle: 16/16 (10/10, 1/2 TTCAL)
CD/DPO: 16/3
Timing: -5, -3, IUI on O, +1
Testing: Maybe next Wednesday. But also testing out the trigger now and then before that. Last time it was gone within about 7 days.
R/R: While I did polish off a delicious small fry from McDonald's after my appointment, I've accomplished practically nothing at work today. I've gotta get to busy.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKY: Congratulations! You are now a college professor and your first class starts in 15 minutes. What subject are you qualified to teach? What advanced topic do you cover? Yikes. I suddenly feel very incompetent. I would probably go for basic business writing and editing. Probably the most advanced we would get is hammering in the need to adhere to a style guide and to double-check even things you think you know are correct. There have been a few times that it turned out that it was something tricky that's almost like the normal term but not quite.
I'd also love to do one on basic personal finance.

@kiki75 I had an amazing professor that focused on grief and loss in caregivers/family members of Alzheimer's and dementia. I was working in brain injury at that time, and we realized there were many similarities between the losses as the person was physically present but psychologically different. Pauline Boss is an amazing author if you're interested in the topic! ... I ran with that topic and published a caregiver support group curriculum and presented on the topic at many conferences... and just talking about it makes me determined to apply to teach and maybe get my PhD! Haha... I'm a nerd...
@purplg8r I like in Phoenix. It's the hottest day I have ever experienced. It's only my second summer here and I'm dying.
@kiki75 McDonald fries are my go to for every after appointment snack. They are so delicious! @doxiemoxie212 Target for the win! I've got some cherry lime in the fridge getting cold!
@KSMcClary ...in other words if you told me, you'd have to kill me? Have you read Grunt by Mary Roach? I think it's more focused on Army stuff but it's an interesting look at the science behind the military.

@kiki75 He says he prefers Solidworks usually depending on what he's doing (but prefers Creo for prototyping), but most of all he prefers not doing CAD at all.
^^ I'll pretend to understand the significance of that.

I'd be teaching in the school of social work. Human behavior in the social environment (class I TA'd for two years in grad school) or Ambiguous Grief and Loss (I've done extensive research, and facilitation of professional trainings in this area) ... this is actually my dream job!!
Edit for typos
@doxiemoxie212 ha! "Bronzed..." I like it.
