I have an OB appointment this week. Hoping to discuss reducing the number of ultrasounds that I have scheduled, and make sure that she doesnt want to induce me early. Everything about the appointment on friday went well, so I dont see why any of this would be an issue.

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
I go tomorrow. This will be the 2nd appointment in a row seeing someone besides my regular doctor. Last time they had to switch me to the other office because the ultrasound machine was broken and this week she's on vacation. I guess it's good because I will have seen 3 of the 4 providers, but given that I have a scheduled c section, I'm not too worried about meeting the others and since I followed my doctor from another practice she said she'll do whatever she can to make sure she delivers for me.
was supposed to have one tomorrow but never got a call back last week when i left a message to schedule the app. so i called today to make it and my midwife answered so i just had a mini appointment with her over the phone and scheduled a real appointment next week lol she asked how i was feeling basic other questions and said as long as i'm not having any problems it be fine to skip a week i hate driving an hour every two weeks anyways ugh dread the weekly appointments
Had my 30 week sono and regular prenatal checkup earlier today. he was looking great on the sono and measuring 4lbs 1oz in the 70th percentile. Couldn't see his face though since he was facing my back. My did get to see that he has lots of hair on his head! Also got my TDAP today. All in all, everything looks good!
Had my 32 week checkup today and all went well. Belly is measuring at around 34 weeks, HB was 152. Only 33 more days until I'm full term!
My OB prescribed me with Zoloft to take for the remaining few weeks, as my anxiety is absolutely horrible, and I'm at very high risk for PPD. When I went to fill the prescription, the pharmacist read me the riot act and was appalled that my OB prescribed it. Of course that triggered my anxiety and now I'm afraid to actually take it. Are any moms currently taking it? I am 100% taking it after baby comes, but I'm nervous to start it now prior to delivery.
Had another appointment today. BP was high so they sent me for another NST that went well- baby looked great and BP came down. It's looking like I'll get 2 NST's a week from here on out. Also got a steroid injection to help baby's lungs develop in case she needs to come out very early. I'm hoping that was just extra preventative... Starting to freak out that she will not stay put for long! I always assumed I'd go way past 40 weeks. DH is frantically reading all our child prep class materials tonight..it's kind of adorable.
@Kathryn0903 I feel like we're in this BP mess together. I remember you mentioning extra scans or something due to high BP.
@secicc12 I feel for you. I get 2 ultrasounds a week now due to high blood pressure. I was diagnosed with mild preeclampsia so they want extra monitoring on me and baby. I've already been told it's pretty likely I'll deliver at 37 weeks as long as everything goes well till then. I'm a little freaked out about being ready. Spent yesterday and today getting the rest of what we needed and am working on finishing the nursery. DH has been great - going to as many appointments as possible with me and dealing with my worries about every little symptom now.
@Kathryn0903 That's awesome you were able to get the rest of what you guys need. DH sounds great, too. Worst case scenario, you buy something on Amazon once you get home and it comes to your door. I'm freaked out about being ready too. More from the emotional side, not too concerned about having all the baby stuff since that's coming along. But just the thought of potentially delivering 3 weeks early is crazy right now.
@secicc12 I'm freaked out emotionally too. Totally scared to deliver and scared of the the fact that baby is transverse which will mean a c section if he doesn't move.
@kristenk727 I stopped Zoloft at the beginning of the 3rd trimester. I weaned and went about a week and a half without anything and had a panic attack. Doctor put me on buspar for the remainder of the pregnancy. It's not supposed to have effects on the baby. It took a few weeks, but it's working. I'm planning to go back on Zoloft as soon as I have baby.
@kristenk727 I would go with what your doctor says, not the judgements pharmacist. It's shameful that people try to scare you out of getting help that you need/want. You definitely don't need someone adding to the anxiety you're already feeling.
Had my first of 2 appointments today. Just an ultrasound, but ultrasound tech seemed to think baby was looking good. Baby is no longer transverse and is head down now. Hoping he stays head down for a couple more weeks.
I went today and instead of the 1-2 weeks ahead he was measuring 2 weeks ago, he's now measuring 3 weeks ahead. She said given how, long my torso is and how I feel, it's probably fairly accurate.
Had my appt. today, midwife was really happy to see my food journal and that I've been proactively tracking my numbers on my own. She's particularly pleased at my blood glucose levels. However she's getting concerned that I haven't gained weight in 4 weeks and that my bump measured at 29weeks instead of 30 when this whole pregnancy my fundal height has been spot on. Since I'm within the +/- 2 weeks for the measurement it is Ok for now. The baby was also transverse, so that could sway the measurements. Meanwhile, I'm doing everything I can to eat as much as possible while still have it fit the GD guidelines and timing requirements of taking my blood sugar. Edit: just frustrated at my stupid body for being non compliant.

@Kathryn0903 That is great news!! Praying LO stays that way!
@secicc12 praying everything's looks good! We had a BP scare with DS- admitted to the hospital at 36 weeks, extra US, etc. I eventually went home and he stayed in until 41 weeks! Hoping your LO can stay put a little longer.
So I'm at the office waiting for the OB to get here. I had the growth U/S / BPP done. My baby has only gained 7 oz in two weeks. I'm worried. Everything else looked good. The tech said since her head, belly, and leg all measure the same weeks that it's okay, just means she will be petite. Will see what Dr thinks soon...
Dr said it's all fine. That babies don't gain steady every week, that they might gain a lot one week and not a lot the next. She's 5 days behind. He said she will probably be 6 lbs. I just feel the need to eat more now to try to fatten her up lol will see again in two weeks how she's measuring.
That's very reassuring the Dr. didn't seem to be concerned, although I can completely see how it could scare you to hear that. I'm trying to put on weight and have been trying to eat more also, you can join me in my almost all cheese and nut butter diet!

Had appt. yesterday because I was having a lot of contractions. They did stop eventually and cervix is still closed. Yay!! I am back again this morning for a growth u/s. Hopefully I can get a good look at her as the anatomy scan she was not cooperating very well.
I ended up in the hospital's L&D triage last night until about 2am because I started having a lot of really regular contractions. They hooked me up and they were seeing the contractions about every 6-10 min. They did the ffn test and they tested me for a UTI as well because apparently that can cause contractions. Both came back negative which is great news and crevix is still closed. They're not sure why I'm contracting so much so they want to start seeing me a lot more. Just going to try and take it easy and drink lots of water. Also was a wake up call that we need to pack our hospital bag ASAP and just leave it by the door because you never know. Fingers crossed that baby stays put for a while longer!
@kristenk727, I have a friend that was on Zoloft during her 2nd and 3rd trimesters. I went on it 1 week PP after my second child but weaned off of it before I got pregnant this time. My doctor mentioned it as a possibility this time, but had me try Unisom Sleep Tabs first because most of my anxiety is tied up with insomnia. I now take 1/2 a Unisom before bed each night and it keeps my anxiety at bay.
Had another ultrasound and appointment today. No protein in urine today, but still high blood pressure. My feet have been swollen but they don't think it's too bad. Still getting treated as mild preeclampsia and will continue to get the ultrasounds twice a week, but baby looks to be doing good.
@Kathryn0903 Glad they didn't find any protein- that's good news! My OB said she doesn't really count swollen feet as too much of an indicator of pre-e or hypertension given the super humid weather. Have they mentioned inducing you at all? My doc keeps saying "we're going to try to get you to 37 weeks". Umm- try? Haha that freaked me out.
@secicc12 they've said the same thing to me about trying to get me to 37 weeks. They pretty much explained to me that preeclampsia can be unpredictable - could be manageable or get crazy all of a sudden. They have said it is highly likely that they'll want me to deliver at 37 weeks. Honestly, now that the idea is in my head I don't want to get disappointed if they later decide to have me go later. I feel like I'm physically prepared and getting there emotionally that I just want to deliver at 37 now.
I delivered at 37 weeks 5 days due to high blood pressure and PE with my first. They are right, it can get crazy quick. They wanted to deliver me at 37 weeks exactly but I begged them to wait because my husband was 2000 miles away. They agreed to wait until he flew in if my bp didn't rise anymore. I made it til he got there and then my doctor said...no more waiting you have this baby today. I think I was sent to labor and deliver at every appt from 34 weeks on...monitored for a few hours and then sent home. Then two days later same thing. We had 6 or 7 trips to hospital before the actual delivery. They say every 24 hours you keep baby in womb, takes 48 hours off your nicu stay.
Had a sonogram today to make sure baby was growing like he is supposed to be. Doctor was a little worried that he was on the smaller side, so he just wanted to check him out. He is perfect and healthy! 31w5d and measuring right on track. Estimated 3 pounds 12 ounces right now!
I text MH and let him know everything was perfect and I said, "Still has a penis, too!" My son read my text as I sent it and gasped and asked me, "Mom! Why would you call it that?! Why don't you just call it a boy vagina?!" LOL! Anatomy lessons needed, obviously!
@OTmom3 Thanks! Was feeling a lot better over the weekend, but got to work this morning and contractions are pretty consistent again. Maybe my uterus hates work? lol. Trying not to stress about it though since my ffn test was negative.
