Re: Healthy Habits: week of 6/18
2. This week my all day nausea turned into evening only nausea, so I hit all my workout and walk goals this week (minimum 30 minute walk daily, strength 3x week, cardio 2x week, yoga 1x). @burnsmommy27 @EmilyLove25 @darkrose88 how did y'all do last week? The accountability buddies is really working for me!
3. I almost forgot about my walk yesterday and did it anyway while my kids were napping instead of spending the whole time laying on the couch.
4. I love doing yoga with the kids, they love downward dog!

Baby #4 on the way!
Getting into a habit of exercising nearly every day. I've never been good at making it part of my life.
2. How's it going? How can we help?
Actually really well, thanks @schaze for the accountability! How are thing going for you?
Like @KatieEl, it's really been helping me!
3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
So I've been trying not to eat desserts and did super well this week! (Surprisingly!) However, I had one bite of strawberry shortcake today. We had guests over for lunch and I felt obligated as the hostess to make sure it was good.
4. GTKY: what is one healthy(ish) activity you're looking forward to sharing with your LO?
Bike riding together as a family.
1. What healthy habit are you working on?
Eating better. I fell off a couple weeks back and have been really trying to get back to good food. I think I need to figure out some different ways of preparing things.
2. How's it going? How can we help?
any good veggie recipes? My fruit intake is easy, I just eat raw. Veggies raw are making me naesous.
3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
i started back on my morning smoothies:)
4. GTKY: what is one healthy(ish) activity you're looking forward to sharing with your LO?
Playing games in the yard, like soccer or baseball.
This week I want to get back to meal planning and actually plan some healthy snacks for myself. I know how much my food choices influence how I feel, so I want to get back to good habits now that food is starting to sound good again. I also want to start exercising again. Yoga, walking, resistance bands and pilates are my favorites.
2. How's it going? How can we help?
I see there are accountability buddies! How does that work? (I missed last week)
3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
The fact that I could plan meals ahead to some degree!
4. GTKY: what is one healthy(ish) activity you're looking forward to sharing with your LO?
Gardening! I won't have a garden this year but with a January baby I'm hoping to be able to manage one next spring and summer.
Still trying to eat veggies with every meal-so far so good! And doing my workout video 3x a week. Also trying to cut back on sugary deliciousness.
2. How's it going? How can we help?
Accountability buddies are working well for me too! Thanks @GraceUponGrace09! Still going pretty well, I've been doing better on not eating too many sweets the last few days. You?
3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
So many fresh veggies! They taste so much better than canned or frozen.
4. GTKY: what is one healthy(ish) activity you're looking forward to sharing with your LO?
Once we're out of our current neighborhood (hopefully next February or March) we want to take more outdoor walks. We've wanted to do that with DD since she was born, but we live on a really busy road with not many sidewalks so it's not really the safest.
@madcouplewithabox I love doing steamed veggies-carrots are a favorite. Then I can add whatever I want to them once they're done steaming. I've done a tiny bit of brown sugar, soy sauce and ginger which we love! Skillet grean beans are great too-just steam the beans in about 3/4 cup of chicken or veggie broth, add a little salt and pepper.
Right now the focus is getting back to 10k steps per day, 5 days a week.
2. How's it going? How can we help?
I'm not there yet, but last week was better than I've done in a long time. I got my steps 2 days in a row (although that was it). It's been tough because it's already so hot outside,
3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
Getting my steps at all, honestly.
4. GTKY: what is one healthy(ish) activity you're looking forward to sharing with your LO?
Walking! We have great places to walk around here; lots of trails (mountain and paved), our downtown is super walkable and cute, and we only live about 15 minutes from the college we went to which has a gorgeous campus we like to go walk at sometimes.
eating better and trying to get to the gym
2. How's it going? How can we help?
@KatieEl I'm so glad the buddies are helping you out. I did struggle a bit last week with MS on Wednesday and Thursday. So needless to say I didn't eat or move much those 2 days. The rest of the week I did well.
3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
I did a work week hustle fitbit challenge last week and didn't loose. Yay, I actually came in 5th out of 12.
4. GTKY: what is one healthy(ish) activity you're looking forward to sharing with your LO?
I'm really looking forward to them being a little older and wanting to do outside sports, like soccer or tball. For now we talk a lot of family walks.
@EmilyLove25 how did last week go for you?
Exercising 4-5 times a week. Like OP, my exercising habit took a major hit after getting KU, due to exhaustion and nausea.
2. How's it going? How can we help?
Last week I successfully exercised 4 days! Two cardio classes and two lifting classes. I'm not gonna lie, if it weren't for this thread, I probably wouldn't have worked out 1 of those days. This week I've been to 1 lifting class so far, so I'm on track to hit 3 more. @KatieEl I agree having accountability buddies helps. It definitely encouraged me last week and this week so far.
3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
On top of my 4 scheduled exercises, DH and I swam around/treaded water in the pool for about an hour Saturday. Bonus (but fun) exercise!
4. GTKY: what is one healthy(ish) activity you're looking forward to sharing with your LO?
Swimming! We have an above ground pool, and I can not wait to play with baby in it when it is older! Sadly, next summer we will be sticking to baby pools.
