We have things planned, whether I will be able to eat them or not is another story! Tonight: Homemade Chinese chicken with brown rice Tuesday: Shrimp Thai salad Wednesday: Pork DIY Dumplings Thursday: Breakfast for dinner
@Dani0329 I like the Asian theme! I did a lo mein stir fry last week. tonight, we're going to have domino's pizza, and I plan to make beef stroganoff Tuesday (one of my favorites). beyond that, I haven't planned!
Edited to add: silly me! I forgot I ordered a home chef delivery this week! I'll be making a garlic pork tenderloin with asparagus, chicken risotto casserole, and basil-pecorino campanelli pasta! That's enough to get us through Friday, and I'm sure DH will be wanting to go out to dinner on the weekend.
Yummm, that all sounds so good! I grocery shopped and did some minimal prep of making some potato/cauliflower leek soup (my faveeee) and a huge batch of vinegar cucumbers + onions and then planning on a veggie stir fry one night. I finally got some peanut butter and jelly - they're the best thing to me right now haha friday we're going out to celebrate being together 6 years in the 25th!
DH is STILL on his healthy eating kick (no carbs, only lean protein, fruits, veggies, and probiotics). I like to complain about it, but I also appreciate the fact that it has kept me eating healthy when all I want to eat is CARBS. I make sides for DD and me, but DH sticks to just the protein and veggies.
Monday: Chicken enchilada soup (with rolls for DD and me) Tuesday: BIL's birthday...so we're going out to dinner Wednesday: Tuna cakes with a Chinese chicken salad Thursday: Parmesan/lemon tilapia with cauliflower and broccoli (and rice for DD and me) Friday: Pollo Asado (with beans, tortillas and rice for DD and me) Saturday: Out to dinner Sunday: We eat at my parent's house
Meal planning keeps me healthy and accountable, so I swear by it...but it's a lot harder to eat well during the first trimester (and if this pregnancy is anything like my last one, well into the second trimester).
Monday: Spicy peanut noodles Tuesday: sweet fire chicken with steamed carrots Wednesday: Chicken bacon ranch pasta Thursday: Korean pork with sesame ginger snap peas Friday: At the ILs, probably pork roast Saturday: Crack chicken sandwiches
Monday: Grilled chicken thighs, roasted asparagus and cole slaw. Tuesday: shrimp tacos with cabbage slaw Wednesday: Buffalo chicken salads Thursday: Dinner at DH's grandmother's Friday: out to dinner for DH's birthday Leftovers for the weekend.
Monday: BLTs on Dave's Killer Bread, crispy/coconut kale, strawberry/blueberry salad Tuesday: Bone-in pork chops on the grill, grilled asparagus, tomato salad Wednesday: Greek grilled chicken with sauteed zucchini and summer squash, potential to add quinoa or rice to this I'm afraid to plan further. Wait and see how these meals go!
Monday: Cheeseburgers on the grill with fresh sweet corn Tuesday: Slow Cooker Pork Chops with green beans and sautéed squash Wednesday: One Pot Tortellini and Smoked Sausage in a creamy tomato sauce Thursday: Nephew's ball game so probably grabbing some fast food Friday: Who knows what we will be doing!
Man, you guys inspire me! I need to get back to meal planning better. DH is in Alaska all week so the kids and I will probably just veg. Mac n cheese, grilled cheese, cold cereal for dinner - You know, all the healthy things?
You ladies are on top of it! Food still is just to me, so it's been a lot of take out in this house! I've never been this adverse to food in my life, so it's been weird not wanting to cook or be around the kitchen. I keep promising DH it will get better (I think he's enjoying his Taco Bell drive through on his late shifts though)

Asian food is the only thing that sounds like something I can eat! Last night I had Thai Quinoa salad.
