GTKY: If you could wake up and be fluent in any language(s) what would it be and why?
I'd have to say Spanish because that's what DH and my ILs speak and it would be nice to keep up with them. I'd also like to be fluent in ASL because I've seen too many interactions between hearing and Deaf people that made me wish I could help interpret.

R/R: Rant - Went fishing Saturday, caught a nice sized panfish, put it on the stringer, plopped it over the dock and back into the water. About 15 mins later a kid next to me fishing starts yelling about my fish. A damned snapping turtle apparently lives under the dock and ate my fish! Stupid turtle

Then yesterday, at the same dock fishing with DH & SD, I set down my pole after casting, turn to help M (SD) and plop! My fishing pole is all of the sudden in the lake! Thankfully I was able to retrieve it, reel it in and caught a little 4-5" bluegill. A fish too small to keep almost stole my fishing pole!

Rave - Had a pretty good weekend overall

GTKY: If you could wake up and be fluent in any language(s) what would it be and why? Hmm, interesting question. All of them? Or maybe Gaelic if I had to chose just one.

R/R: Yesterday we turned off our air conditioning and today was the first morning in a week I woke up without a headache!! (From all the pollen in our vents we can't clean because we rent. So excited finally get a house.) But I feel great!

GTKY: If you could wake up and be fluent in any language(s) what would it be and why? German, because it's so hard and every once in awhile I need to read something in German and it would be great if I could just do it without having to rely on crappy translation tools and other people.

R/R: I never received a positive OPK and EWCM dried up yesterday so I’m hoping the temp I got this morning is a legit spike and not because I slept like sh*t (probably because I was stressing about having a spike in my temp this morning). Hopefully I can find something good to distract me today.

CS/Q:

GTKY: Either French because it’s so beautiful or Arabic because DH’s grandparents only speak it and I’d love to have a convo with them.

I speak German pretty decently so maybe being 100% fluent in German, but otherwise I think it would be more useful for know Spanish fluently because I live in Texas and I don't know any!

R/R: RANT: Awesome visit with my friend this weekend, BUT because we all stayed up kind of late, DH and I have stilllll not done the deed this cycle. so that needs to change asap. RAVE: many of my higher ups at work are at a conference this week, so it's nice and quiet around the office.

CS/Q: no, just have an errant EWCM on CD 11 to throw me for a loop and make me question when I should start wasting OPKs this cycle. Last one didn't hit until CD 22, so I am waffling between cheapness and hope for a sooner O this time around.

GTKY: If you could wake up and be fluent in any language(s) what would it be and why?

I think spanish or swahili. I have learned a little of both and really love them. Spanish of course would have more application, but swahili is beautiful and didn't seem too difficult to pick up.

@flashley-2 - sorry you're stuck inside!

@mschanandlerbong1214 - I totally forgot about ASL, that's a great idea! I actualy got a few books on it several years ago and learned a ton of words. It's such a vibrant language and community.

@elisek Well it took about a week.... Basically, I just noticed I was only having a headache when I was in the house. Like I would go to work all day, no headache, and then come home and start to get a headache after dinner. Then Saturday morning I had a headache - we went to the park and it was gone within 20 minutes - and then I got it again after we got home. Since pretty much the only type of headache I ever get is a sinus headache from allergies, it was pretty easy to determine that some allergens in the vents were causing it.

R/R: Doing a fasting blood test this morning so no coffee for me. Negative OPK again today. One more chance to see a positive this afternoon, and then it's shot in the butt time this evening to force O for my Wednesday IUI.

CS/Q: Wine before MH shoots up my butt? Yay or nay?

GTKY: If you could wake up and be fluent in any language(s) what would it be and why? I'd love to be fluent in a lot of different languages, but I'd start with Spanish because I live in the west coast and there are a lot of Spanish speakers here. I speak some already, but not nearly as much as I'd like.

I've learned a little French, so it would be nice to be able to hold conversations in French, but Spanish is what I would like to wake up and be fluent in. I come into contact with so many people who speak primarily Spanish and it would make communicating with them about their healthcare much easier.

@elisek how many times a day do you use opks? if more than one, perhaps you can cut down to 1 a day? Last cycle I was expecting to O on CD9 and it didn't happen until CD19, so I totally get the 10 days of opk thing.

GTKY: If you could wake up and be fluent in any language(s) what would it be and why? I loooove languages! I actually just started using Duolingo again last night. If I absolutely had to pick one, it'd be French, because it's my first foreign language love but I'd also love Turkish, Irish Gaelic, Ukrainian, Czech, Swahili... #nerdalert

@elisek the book was excellent but it definitely has TW all over it. There's a lot about infertility and losses and pregnancy, so definitely be aware of that before you start reading it. But it's a really well written book and a very interesting story!
@muggle621 the book was really good! I'm the type that likes to read the book before the show/movie so I held off on watching the show before now but so far I'm impressed with it. It seems to follow the book very closely so if you liked the show you'll definitely like the book.
@vflux33 yes!! Ugh I felt like my hips were swollen and in pain for a few days until I ovulated. Good luck with the trigger shot tonight! And I say go for the wine!

@jessicarenee70 eek yes you definitely could be anemic after surgery and especially if you're feeling that tired. Any time you have any kind of surgery there's going to be a bit of blood loss and if you were already close to anemic it's likely any blood loss would bring you down to anemic. Hope you can get in contact with your doctor soon!

R/R: Rave - My husband was moved to day shift which means we'll actually see eachother! Before he got his transfer I was wracking my brain on how we could possibly get pregnant without being able to you know... do the deed let alone doing it during fertile days.

CS/Q: My OPK predictor kit was positive CD14 and CD15. I think my kit says O should occur within 24 hours of a positive result. FF said I O'd on CD17, can the OPK predict that far in advance?

CS/Q: I've been playing around with FF and I'm pretty sure that the only reason it hasn't given me CHs is because I'm missing several temps from when I was on vacation, which is throwing the whole things off. If I get another high temp tomorrow though, I think it'll give me my CHs!

Realistically? Probably Spanish, because it would be awesome to be fluent - not only do I live in CA, but several of my friends speak fluent Spanish, so then I wouldn't feel so left out

BUT, I already speak some Spanish, so if I could wake up and just KNOW a language, I think I'd choose something harder, like Japanese.

R/R: I'm feeling a bit excited today and definitely relieved because I got my first positive OPK since we started TTC. I'm not getting my hopes up too much until my chart confirms O, but for the first time in 9 months, I do feel hopeful.

@hedgepig no, since it's our first house we are using KB Home as our builder. So far we've been very pleased with the processes and our project manager has been great to work with! I would love to design and build a completely custom home later in the future though!

WAYDTGKU: Letrozole, metformin, levothyroxine, pregnyl, pnv, temping, cm.

R/R: Sorry I've been MIA for the last week or so. Been dealing with some stuff. Stress galore! But the ultrasound today showed a 24mm follicle so we went ahead and did the trigger. It was hilarious because my husband went to go give me the shot and kind of lost his nerve when he saw the length of the needle. Then we watched a video on youtube of how to do it and he was like "Alright, I got this!" And then when he went to do it he hesitated too much. He would go to stick me and then stop and then mutter to himself and he was afraid to hurt me because he thought I'd get mad at him. I told him I wouldn't, but then when he tried again and hesitated it freaked me out so we decided to let his mom do it. And she did. And it was fine. XD

CS/Q: Nothing to look at yet.

GTKY: So many! Russian because that's the majority of my heritage. Japanese because I watch a lot of anime and there are a lot of translator jobs around here (we have a lot of Honda factories.) Spanish and French because I already speak some and would love to be fluent. American Sign Language because I have always been interested in it, ever since elementary school when the teacher who taught the hearing impaired class came to our class to teach us a few things. I am actually considering pursuing a career as an ASL interpreter. I really love languages, so any language would make me happy!

@lurvleybunchococonuts I lived in Ireland for a time. I loved listening to gaelic when my friend and her husband would speak in it (just for practice, they spoke English most of the time). I'm definitely jealous of @doxiemoxie212 for taking it in school.

@Mythril Re giving shots: A couple of years ago at work we had a meningitis scare. Everyone else got to take a pill for prophylaxis but I had to get an antibiotic shot in my ass. The charge nurse and I took our relationship to a whole other level that night.

I used to work at a summer camp as a life guard and learned a little there, but I've forgotten most of it. Hell, I was working with teenagers so most of what I learned were curse words anyway. But I have to say @muggle621 has a very good point!

WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPKs, CM, sex. Wanted to clarify that last one since apparently lots of women have been told this is a necessity.

R/R: I've had a wonderfully busy day.

CS/Q: When in your cycle do you start using your OPKs? I'm still not temping for another cycle despite what I said CD 1. I have a tendency to become obsessed with new projects and don't want TTC to become an obsession. So with the knowledge that I do not have temps and my cycles are between 27 and 31 days, when would you start the OPKs?

GTKY: If you could wake up and be fluent in any language(s) what would it be and why? Mandarin. My H is Chinese and speaks the language but not super fluently and mostly just to speak to his parents. I'm worried when his parents die that our children will lose that knowledge. I'll probably try to learn Mandarin anyway but it'd be awesome to just wake up and know it.

@mschanandlerbong1214 Um I always need coffee in an IV. I also have "learn ASL" on my bucket list for the year so I should at least get started. I know super basic signs from working with infants and toddlers.

@shortstack930 I hardcore binged that show! Also, Spanish is an amazing language to know. I actually used it in Italy a decent amount. I learned just enough Italian to know how to ask "Do you speak English" and if they said no, I asked if they spoke Spanish. Most Italians speak one of those languages.

@Mythril That was nice of your MIL. And yes! I love languages as well! I "learn" a new one every year. Just enough to get by when we travel. But I minored in Spanish so it makes any romantic language pretty easy to pick up.
