@tamaraaaa Those look fantastic, I really need to finish up a few ones that I started so I can make baby boy some things. I will say chasing around a 2 & 4 yo and trying to sew has been difficult.
Did you embroider the first name? It looks awesome.
I actually cut it out on my silhouette, ironed it on and then sewed it in the machine. I then quilted right over it as well, so I'm hoping that's enough to keep it on without issue.
The monogram is all embroidery machine, so that's much easier. The full names get to be long for my hoop and I suck at lining up if I need to do it in two parts, so I tried the silhouette instead.
i try to be crafty but i am not too great with sewing. my mil got a new sewing machine recently and has been making some awesome things with it, so we will definitely have some sweet new things for this baby. i am excited!
has anyone made their own swaddle muslin blankets before? i was thinking of getting some of the material and having my mil sew them, and let DD decorate some with fabric paints. more arts and craftsy but should be a fun project!
I don't have a finished picture yet, as I was in a hurry to get this to my skater, but here is the front of the Swan Lake dress I made for a skater she competes tomorrow. There's about 7 gross (1038 ) of stones on it, the crystal stones as well as black hematite stones. And it may be getting some more after competition.
@mrsorigami I have made swaddle blankets! You can get muslin at Joann's--they have some with cute prints. Then you just need to cut it to size (a big square) and sew the edges. It's super easy. If you want to paint it, though, you may have to be careful what paint you use. Fabric paint can dry stiff and scratchy. Also, muslin is rather porous, so you'll need to put down a lot of paper (or something) behind it and then move it so it doesn't dry to the paper. It might be easier to have your daughter help you find the fabric and then maybe decorate some onesies with fabric markers instead. Show us what you come up with!

I made these for a baby shower gift.
