Hello all, I recently had an emergency D&C done 10 days ago (June 5) due to extreme blood loss and clotting, im psychically feeling better, but emotionally I'm still on the fence mostly because the baby still had a heartbeat before I went into surgery. I was wondering when everyone got their period after their D&C ?
mt HCG levels were around the 25000 mark, I took a preg test 2 days ago and still positive, I have not had sex yet, nor have any idea when I will. We do plan to TTC when it's safe to do so. I purchased ovulation tests, pregnant tests and a basal body thermometer. I also checked my cervix today and my cervix feels mostly closed I can't even insert my fingertip really. It does however feel somewhat soft still. I am still spotting. How long did your bleeding continue after a D&C, how high were your levels and how fast did they come down ? How long did it take you to get pregnant after a D&C was the pregnancy successful ? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
Re: I'm new here.
Were you told to take several cycles off after your D&C before you try again? Check with your doctor. They'll probably give you more information at your follow-up appt.
Its important for you to take off the time stated by your doctor, if there is any. And I know there's usually a feel to rush to TTCAL, but think of the emotional time you need as well. A few cycles off now is better than a complication later or getting KU when you aren't emotionally ready.

I am very sorry for your loss. I'm also new to this board after a recent loss (I think we were both on the same BMB).
With my first MC it took 39 days to get AF, but my levels were at zero within a week and a half, though I can't remember how high they were. It took me 18 cycles to get pregnant, which ended in my most recent MC, but I have PCOS and wasn't able to see my RE until I was at 12 cycles.
Me: 36 DH:35
Married: 7/10/2016
TTC#1 - May 2016
BFP 9/6/2016 - Missed MC 10/20/2016
BFP 5/5/2017 - CP
IVF #1 - June 2017 - Transferred 1 fresh 4 AA embryo. 7/9 Beta #1 - 161
praying once my hcg levels return and get the go ahead from my gyno that I'll be able to join and stay with another BMB, praying for the same for you too !

My follow up appointment is in a week so I figure my Dr. will tell me how I'm healing. He already mentioned trying again in August so I hope I really can. I am still on my prenatal of course, drinking spinach kale smoothies, and I bought Royal Jelly ( not sure if this does anything. Probably just a $25 jar of honey lol) today so I am hoping to be prepared!
Fingers crossed, and prayers that August will be the month for us both! You trying anything special to heal and prep?
Maybe during my follow up we will get into hormone levels? How does knowing my levels help? Is that for the TTC part? At this point, I am just waiting for my period.
usually 27-29 days and light barley bleeding, praying they continue to be regular and light, and hoping it comes fast so my body can be back on track. I hate having to guess what my body is doing, or what's going on with my body !
Psychically I feel fine, emotionally though is a whole different story, I find myself more irritable, short tempered, and moody. Praying that all goes away soon ❤️
The author does endorse CoQ10, particularly in the form of ubiquinol which is the most easily absorbed form, as a method to improve egg quality. As I understand it, research has not shown any harmful reproductive side effects from CoQ10 (even in doses higher than you would take on your own). The author recommends (based on the studies) taking 100 mg - 300 mg depending on your particular situation.
@mdfarmchick & @zamora_spin I started to come across CoQ10 also as I look things up! I am very interested. I'm going to bring it up with my doctor as soon as I have my follow-up!
I think the most important thing is peace of mind - like, if you're going to have guilt if you don't get ku because you went jogging or whatnot, find something that is not going to make you worry. (PS, I hate jogging and will do anything to avoid it).
