Nub theory?

Anyone want to guess? This is my 3rd pregnancy and first time hearing of the nub theory!! How I don't know lol

    I don't have a trained eye so I could be missing it entirely. But I don't see the nub in this particular u/s

    You are having a baby - congratulations. These generally do not go over well. Also, this is a community - not google.

    I see this is the first time you've ever participated on this board and The Bump in general (at least under this username). Welcome! Please read the pinned thread that in all caps says READ THIS FIRST. Or just click here for a shortcut. Lurk a little, see how the community works and jump in to participate. Just a word of advice - a community is give and take. Be sure to give a little first before you ask others to give to you.

    Agree with everyone else. I'm sure it's there, but I see no nub. It's just too early to distinguish anyway. If you absolutely can't wait until the anatomy scan, there are places you can get an elective ultrasound sooner.

    I will say that I just spent ten minutes trying to see if I could find nubs on my ultrasound pictures today.  I have two images that might show nubs, but they go different ways.  So, so much for that.

    But one of my babies was forward facing, and while I couldn't see a nub, I'm pretty sure I'm having an alien.




    Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
    Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
    TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
    2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
    Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
    Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!  
    fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP! 
    Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
