Ahhhhhh.....trying to figure out who is going in what room!

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:

We have names picked out! And my 7 year old was just randomly talking about having a baby sibling and he doesn't know one has taken over my uterus.

My exhusband is being an extra giant poopface this week...just wait till he finds out about the baby. But seriously. It has been 5 years and he needs to get over his dumb self.

GTKY: What has been you favorite vacation and why?
Without kids....Cozumel. With Kids....Cocoa Beach Fl. Just bc I said so.

I can't nap when I want

Seriously I loved pregnancy naps with my first but now that I have to run after a preschooler I can't stand the fatigue

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:
H kisses my belly because daddy does even though the baby is the size of a seed. It just melts my heart how much love is in my family right now.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions:
so carpal tunnel is something that can come up in third tri well I got it in first tri. It hurts so bad and all I can do is use a heating pad on my hand to help the swelling.

GTKY: What has been you favorite vacation and why?
Puerto rico. That's where my family is from and I have a great time every time I go.

10 dpo, I think.

Grace, 12; Evangeline, 10; Duncan, would-be 8; Henry, 7; and Ruby, 2.5.

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now?

Not really. If it's a sticky bean, I'm just hoping I'll complete grad school in a timely manner.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:

I've always wanted a big family, though we weren't sure about having another. I think I was fine either way, and having older kids certainly helps. My older two are super awesome and helpful.

GTKY: What has been you favorite vacation and why?

What's that? It's been so long. Visiting Astoria and Seaside, OR. Loved San Felipe, Mexico and Amsterdam.

DD - 5, DS1 - 3, DS2 - 2, DS3 - 8 months

Like pp I'm trying to figure out the bedroom situation. Our two youngest already share and I if we have another boy I think I'll figure it all out easily but another girl would throw a bit of a wrench in I think.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:

My oldest is just finishing grade 1 tomorrow so that's exciting and a bit emotional since this was her first year of school

Nothing really. Nervously awaiting my eventual 12 week appointment to get an indication that things are on the right track.

How old are your other kids (Share names if you would like)? I have one daughter who is 17 months old

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? The only thing right now is having this worry that I could never possibly love another child as much as I love DD and feeling guilty that things will never be the same. I feel shitty even thinking that way! It's probably just the shock of being pregnant again since I just found out.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: Knowing DD will have a sibling to grow up with makes me happy.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions: Anyone already feeling like this pregnancy is different than the last in terms of symptoms? I'm trying not to overanalyze, but damn it's hard!

GTKY: What has been you favorite vacation and why? Our honeymoon in Maui! It was a dream come true because that's where my parents went on theirs and since I was a little girl I wanted to do the same.

Ryker- 7, Max 6, River 2 (days away from 3).

How will we arrange bedrooms? Is our SUV big enough?

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:

Morning sickness hasn't hit. I had it so bad with my 2nd and 3rd and was miserable and nearly hospitalized a few times because of it. This is my biggest Happy thought right now.

I can't think of any today.

GTKY: What has been you favorite vacation and why?

Last November DH and I went to the Bahamas child free for our anniversary/honeymoon we never had. That was rather enjoyable. But I also love all things Disney.

We have a SUV with a 3rd row but as it stand right now 3 kids fit across the 2nd row and we have 2 dogs (a German Shepard and a Shiba Inu) that occasionally have to fit in the car with us too.

We just found out we maybe moving 1,000 miles away for DH's job. So stressful to think about moving while pregnant with my two LO's so far from family

Cant wait to see DD as a big sister

We took the kids to Disney last week and I'm still recovering from the exhaustion lol

I worry about my (current) youngest missing out on special attention since s he's so young.

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? Having two kids 18 months apart does make me question my sanity in our decision

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: I love that I know what to expect more this go around. I was so anxious and didn't really enjoy my first pregnancy. I am hoping to be more laid back and excited in the moment this time.

GTKY: What has been you favorite vacation and why? I loved visiting my grandparents in Washington State every summer. They had a huge garden, pool, tree house, swing set, and lots of room to run around. We were spoiled rotten every summer with ice cream for breakfast and attention. I miss those care free days.

@Acreativephipps and @meatball37 my 5 and 7 year old are 15 months apart...should have been 16 but the little one was a bit early. The beginning is a bit challenging but now that they are in 1st and 2nd grade they are best buds and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Being able to nap when the baby does with a busy toddler running around!

My hubby and I both have big families and we cannot wait for our LO to be able to interact with his sibling!

Any tips or pieces of advice will be awesome with the new peanut growing!

How far along: 4ish weeks (just got my BFP yesterday)

Age of other kid: L is 2

Challenges/concerns: I'm with the ladies worried about sleep... I don't know how I'll survive 4th tri and all the sleep regressions without being able to sleep when the baby sleeps.

Happy thoughts: Looking forward to witnessing the interaction between L and his new sibling, and to the baby snuggles.

Rants/Raves: I'm not exactly the poster girl for pregnancy. I had an almost phobic reaction to it the first time and struggled with a lot of anxiety. I'm hoping the distraction of a two-year-old this time around will keep me from obsessing over it to the same degree.

Favourite vacation: The Oregon Coast. It's been our family retreat since I was little and I can't wait to take my kids.

@Joon+ Where do you go on the Oregon Coast? We're in WA state and go down every couple years. We usually go to Lincoln City but we need to branch out!

@meatballs37 Where were your grandparents in WA? That's where we live!

I have zero energy and motivation and feel like I'm neglecting my kids. I know it's only for a season but it still makes me feel terrible!

I cannot WAIT to tell our kids about the baby. They are going to be over the moon!

GTKY: What has been you favorite vacation and why?
Last year DH and I went to Budapest Hungary without the kids (part business/part vaca) and had an awesome time!!

1 daughter 17 months

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now?

This pregnancy happened so quickly I've had trouble really wrapping my head around it. The newborn phase was not my favorite - I remember the anxiety and crying all the time, the sleep deprivation, the struggle to nurse... the list goes on. And we live so far away from family I worry about going through all that again plus having a little toddler to give attention to. But I know it will all work out in time - I'm just preparing for a rough 4-5 months.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:
After growing up alone I'm excited my daughter will have sibling so close in age. I have two brothers but they are WAY older than me and were out of the house before I was born.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions:

Rant - I kind of feel like I've ruined my summer vacations. We leave for California on Friday and it was going to be an amazing trip. I mean it still will be, but no drinking for me is kind of a bummer. I'm also nervous because I've had an early miscarriage before and I just don't want to have to go through that again - especially while traveling.
Question- I'm borderline AMA - 34 now and will be 35 at delivery. I'm wondering if I will be treated as an AMA patient and have access to all the early prescreens.

GTKY: What has been you favorite vacation and why?
So many favorites! If I had to pick, I suppose Germany/Paris/London in 2009. We went to Oktoberfest in Munich, saw castles, toured Stonehenge.... ahh it was amazing.

How far along are you? 4w6d - 2/14/18

How old are your other kids (Share names if you would like)? DS is 11 months (so 19 mo apart)

Current challenges/concerns about being a STM or questions about things your children are going through now? This was a bit of a suprise. I'm concerned about being able to handle 2 while working (4 days) and also feel some guilt for cutting my son's only child status short from plan. I know this shouldn't bother me but I'm nervous about the judgement of having them close in age.. esp at work.

Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: I have been missing the tiny baby snuggles a bit. Also, it took almost a year of trying all the tricks in the book to conceive my first, so I'd much rather have this "surprise" than deal with that stress and heartbreak again. In that regard, we are blessed.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions: I'd love to hear from people with a 18-20 month (or less!) age gap btw kids. Bonus if you are a career outside the home.

GTKY: What has been you favorite vacation and why? Hollywood Beach, FL. We literally got back on Sunday and I figured my period was late due to travel stresses... until I tested today. Beautiful place but mostly loved it bc it was our first family (just the 3 of us) vacation and I loved watching my son experience all the new things.
