So I'm organizing my best friend's Bachelorette party that's in a few weeks and I decided to make welcome bags for all the girls attending. I'm really into all the corney pinterest wedding stuff and decided to make these over the weekend.
The jig is up. MH now knows about my magic stones and sister's spell. He said I can't take magical stones from my new naturopath and I was like "How did you know???" Turns out he was making a random joke and had no clue, and, well, the rest is history.
someone told H to put baking soda in the water for hard boiled eggs and it would make them easier to peel. It made them impossible to peel and disgusting. No hard boiled eggs in my lunch salad today.

Baking soda in water for hard boiled eggs... I've never have heard of that one before. My MIL swears by vinegar in the water. My method that has never failed me, use old eggs not like SUPER gross old, but keep them a week or so after purchasing before boiling them. Unless you use farm fresh eggs, then it wouldn't be worth the hassle. The fresher they are, the harder they are to peel.

@laurad75@lurvleybunchococonuts I've been steaming mine in a metal steaming basket and they are BY FAR the easiest to peel. I'd try it if you haven't already! Normally 11-12 minutes is good for mine.

@avrilmai It's Bachelor in Paradise. I don't know why it was cancelled, I just happened to see the headline this morning online.
I'm so excited you guys! I got a 5.5% raise today!!! The company I work for does bands based on experience. You're hired in at 1E and you're automatically promoted to 1D after a year. The review period was up March 31st, but my 1 year was May 1st. Band 1E employees weren't supposed to get raises (or only very small ones) this year. Well my supervisor spoke up and said that I needed to be included in the raises because my performance appraisal was so good and I receive so many excellent reviews from the customer. To make it even better, apparently the across our location the raises averaged just under 3%.
@purplg8r First I read it was consensual, just drunk and messy. And they were shown footage in interviews the next day. So was Corrine fine with it if she was doing interviews? then today I read that she got a lawyer. And doesn't blame him cause he was drunk (whatttt?) but blames producers cause they didn't stop it.

I will no longer be posting on TB. My husband is most likely staying deployed for another year. We most likely will not have children, if we even stay married.
Thank you for your support in the months I've been here. I'll continue hoping and praying for each of you.

@jsnakehole I'm so so sorry. I'm sure you are in shock and completely crushed. I don't blame you for questioning a lot of things right now. I give you so much credit for being away from YH for such an extended period of time and I can imagine how difficult that is for you. We are still here for you no matter what girl but I hope you can find some comfort among your friends and family.
@jsnakehole I'm so sorry for what you are going through. You are a strong woman. Wishing you the best and if you ever need to talk/vent we're here, or just a PM away.

@jsnakehole oh hunny I'm so sorry for all of this. You are such a strong person to be able to be away from your husband. I wish you weren't going through any of this. Hugs
We watched Ali Wong's comedy special "Baby Cobra" on Netflix last night, and it was f'ing hilarious! *TW* She's 7 1/2 months pregnant in the special. She "had to get science involved" to get KU. So she talks about her M/C, OPKs, how shitty TTC sex is sometimes, and progesterone suppositories. *End TW*
@kariann323, I've been wanting to watch that for a while, but was afraid it would just be all about being KU, and not the struggles we all know too well. I may have to watch it now! Thanks for letting us know what it's all about.
Me: 30 | DH: 31 Met: August 2006 Married: July 2012 TTC #1 since June 2016
@icecubeinthedesert Her pregnancy was maybe 10 minutes of the show. 15 seconds was her pointing out that she's 7 1/2 month KU. The rest of the 10 minutes was joking about the hell that is getting KU. She was VERY casual about her MC. Personally I wasn't bothered by it, but I can see how it could upset someone.
@vflux33 I haven't personally been to a naturopath, but my dad and brother both have, and both had really positive experiences. My dad has been seeing her for years now and she's really helped him with a bunch of different issues. This part is interesting only in reference to the vegetarian/meat conversation, but I think it's a relevant addition: In High School my brother was vegetarian for about a year. He ate really well - my mom was really careful with making sure he got enough protein and whatnot. However, he was also having problems with really low energy and getting sick all. the. time. He went to see the naturopath and she said, "Well, have you tried eating meat?" So he did, and was instantly cured. The moral of the story is that I agree with @vflux33 about different people responding to vegetarian diets in different ways. I think I would do just fine as a vegetarian, but he definitely doesn't.

@vflux33 I do see a naturopath - thanks for the tag @pebbledam. I've been on a bit of a hiatus for a few weeks, so just saw the tag. I think you already had your appointment, but feel free to PM me or tag me if you have any questions still
@Sailing_Mama I was just curious in general whether anyone has/had a good/bad experience but my appt went great and so far I like her way more than my RE. So no specific questions I guess at this point. But thank you!
@vflux33 So glad the appointment went well - I also love mine and thing that they can be a great resource.
@pebbledam Thanks - he is now at one of the best rehabilitation centres in the world, so we can't complain. He is starting to get use back in his left side, and can even walk a bit with support! I know we have talked about healthcare several times on here, mostly in the context of prenatal/maternity, but it's really made me realize how lucky I am to be in Canada. He went through open heart surgery, a week in the ICU, another week on the ward, and is now looking at a minimum of a month of inpatient rehab. At the end of that - he just goes home. No bill to pay, no insurance to deal with.
