I'm 7 weeks, baby is the size of a blueberry, OR a micro chameleon!
2. How are you feeling?
Just little waves of nausea, but I'm having mood swings about every other day. And my boobs are sore!
3. Any appointments this week?
YES! My first OB appointment is Monday! I can't wait. I might not get an ultrasound due to overbooking but I'm hopeful!
4. Rants/raves/questions?
What's it like to have your husband with you at the OB? I've never seen any men at mine, and DH has never set foot in one!
5. GTKY: Ocean or Mountains?
I prefer the ocean. There's something nice about the smell of saltwater and the sound of the waves.

This is is a tough one.. I'd say mountains because they're just so beautiful and my husband and I love to go skiing in Colorado. If the cost of living wasn't so high I'd love to live there
@williams-jen my husband went to most of my appointments (minus 2 or 3) with me my first pregnancy and I enjoyed having his support and input. And he was equally excited to hear the heartbeat each visit. Unfortunately he won't be able to go to most this time but he plans to come to the ultrasound appointments. It does seem like most women go solo. My husband can work from home a lot but I know that's not the case for most and I imagine taking time off from work could be a barrier
We're sitting at 9 weeks today. When they did an ultrasound earlier this week they said we averaged out a few days later than that, but since it's not more than a few days, they're not gonna change the estimated due date.
2. How are you feeling?
Honestly, kinda shitty, lol. I'm tired and my stomach never feels quite right and my summer job is kicking the shit out me in terms of schedule. I know the money is going to be worth it but ugghhh it's stressful. I'm glad for the experience and I like all the people, but I'm counting down the weeks until it's done and I go back to my local, comfortable job. (I'm sure by the end, I'll be sad to be going, lol.)
3. Any appointments this week?
Nope. We had our 8 week appointment last Tuesday, so the next one isn't until July 3rd.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Is anyone else starting to feel that sense of "omg this pregnancy is going to last forever?" Like, I know it's because I'm not feeling great, and I especially know that this time.of year always zooms by, but right now I feel like it's going to take an eternity to get through the summer, let alone the whole pregnancy.
5. GTKY: Ocean or Mountains?
Tough call, but I'm going mountains. We lived in Japan when I was a teenager and my bus ride to school went past a lake with mountains on the other side. It was gorgeous.
That said, I'm in Kansas: we have neither, lol.
I know for my ex, the whole thing became real when we first heard Miles' heartbeat. My husband had a similar experience with seeing the baby wobbling around on an ultrasound last week. Like, yep. This is actually happening.
That said, sometimes the medical professionals seem mildly surprised by the extra company, though usually pretty cool about including the dude when they're along.

2. How are you feeling?
Better! I feel like I have a lot of my energy back and don't feel as yucky/nauseous.
3. Any appointments this week?
Yep. I go see a midwife Monday. I've heard a lot of good things about this practice so I'm excited about it.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
I told my BFF last night and she cried! It was great!
5. GTKY: Ocean or Mountains?
Mountains, 100%. I live near the ocean and am tired of it.
2. How are you feeling? I can definitely feel some growth in there! Stretching and muscle pain. The nausea also set in last week, but it's pretty mild so I can't complain.
3. Any appointments this week? Monday morning!
4. Rants/raves/questions? I'm flying to Texas to see my family next weekend and can finally give the news! So excited!
5. GTKY: Ocean or Mountains? Mountains, hands down! My favorite state is Montana (the western side)- it's so breathtaking. My DH grew up in Colorado and our plan is to move back there someday.

I saw my doctor on Tuesday and she revised my EDD from 1/5 to 1/13 based on the dating ultrasound (measured 6w2d when I thought I was 7w3d), so here I am. Nothing scheduled for next week.

Why does Thing 1 hate sleep all of a sudden? Why does he hate his new school? Why does he keep elbowing me in the boobs?

I had my first enrollment yesterday (a little too late for a high risk pregnancy...

I'm a total ocean person. I live way too far from one, but if I could spend every day at the beach, I would. I live a few hours from the mountains though.
