This is a weekly check in for the mommies who have made it to the 3rd trimester!!! If you are in week 28 or past, feel free to join in on the weekly fun.
If you're just joining us, please post a mini synopsis in your first post with your EDD, how many beans, if you know the sex(es) and how you have been feeling in your 3rd trimester along with any appointments you may have this week or had recently.
Feel free to share pictures of your bump, nurseries, baby gear, and of course those babies when they arrive!
QOTW: Nesting mama's LOVE to be organized before the baby arrives. Share your best nesting tip! What did you organize and how? Doesn't even have to be baby related. Share pictures too

Re: 3rd Trimester: Week of June 5
I'm officially at the very uncomfortable point! I wake up every morning exhausted from not sleeping, but then I feel my babies move and think," I don't want this to end". The day progresses, dinner time arrives and I am just SO out of room, I feel like I may pop. Their movements start to hurt me. I find myself thinking "okay babies, get out from under my rib cage please!! You're hurting your mama" Then I lay in bed, feel comfy and remember how much I love pregnancy. Same cycle, EVERY DAY lol
QOTW: being on bedrest, I am big time nesting. I obviously got the nursery all set up; diapers in my baskets, butt pastes and creams on the changing table, clothes away. Some Pinterest finds that I stole:
I got a glass a jar with a lid for my binkies. Decorative and practical!
I used an over the door 4 tier organzier to keep all my bathtime products together.
I also got a second changing table for down stairs. I have a colonial and don't wantto do the stairs every time They need a diaper change.
bought one with a hamper and bins. I put extra clothing, receiving blankets, burp clothes and some bathtime products down there too. I figure I will spend most of my day down there, so might as well have it easily accessible!
Will upload pictures soon. Looking forward to more ideas!

QOTW: I did some nesting to our guest room and put up some of the artwork, the changing topper and the banner my mom made for me. I'm moving from an apartment to a house in three weeks, so I am waiting to setup the full nursery until them. Now I'm just organizing things for the move!
@Colleen0516 What a smart idea to also do a changing table downstairs. I may need to do that in the new house that is two floors.
Diagnosed : unexplained infertility

Today however I don't feel quite right. I don't know if I just tired (went to bed early and slept late) oh what. My little guy is moving - just not as much as he has been the last few days and I've got to admit, it's making me a bit nervous. I feel like he's sitting and maybe facing a different way because his movements are in different places than usual. If I'm still feeling this way later on, we may make the trip on to town or I'll call the OB in the am.
Ive been trying not to start up the full out nesting until I have my shower on the 24th and it's driving me a bit crazy. Hehe. The house is ready - I just need some key baby items to get the rest of it all going and make a trip to my sisters to get all the hand me downs.

I had a very busy weekend that kicked off on Friday with a surprise work shower. Turns out they had this whole elaborate scheme going with a onsie decorating station in a back office for the past 3 weeks and fake meetings they set up for my Benefits Analyst team so that I wouldn't notice all my coworkers leaving the office and then to get me across the street to Ruby's Diner where they held the shower. It was a complete surprise! We played 3 games and they had everyone bring a book for my baby boy and decorate onsies and bibs. And the company even got me a very generous gift from my registry. It was amazing! I also had my other shower on Saturday, which was also a lot of fun and turned out great! It was co-ed and about 45 people came, a mix of coworkers, friends, and our families. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and the art studio turned out to be the perfect space. I was so exhausted afterwards and yesterday that I have yet to sort through anything. We did end up getting a lot of stuff from our registry, and I plan on ordering the stroller this week! We asked for signed books instead of cards and our son now has a pretty extensive library.
QOTW: I'm so envious of those who already have their nurseries ready to go. Besides having the nursery and furniture painted, I have everything else left to do. I was waiting till after the shower to really get moving but now I'm just so exhausted I know it's going to take longer than I'd like. I haven't even begun to sort through the gifts or wash any of the clothes, blankets, or hand me down items. Hopefully I can have it all done by next weekend but we shall see.
@JWatt5 glad you had a fun weekend! Maybe he's just worn out from all the walking. Hopefully his movement goes back to the usual stuff. We walked a bunch too last week and she barely moved the next day.
@mjacks16 such a cute setup! When are you guys moving again?
AFM, I'm 31+2 weeks with my next ob appointment tomorrow. We went to San Diego last week and walked a ton. I took your advice on the compression stockings and got one of the recommended pairs before the trip. I was so glad I did! I don't think my ankles or feet swelled at all. Even with the plane trip and walking. Actually the walking seemed to help. I felt physically better. I did over do it one day and she certainly let me know! Every few steps of the walk home, I'd have cramping and painful pressure on my ribs. Everything has been fine since.
QOTW: I love organizing and so do DH. We have bins in the closet for different clothing sizes. Also ones in the changing table to organise small items. Everything is washed (except clothing) and all stacked neatly away. We also have a book shelf unit with bins that her books and toys are in. We are crossing off the last of the little things near the end of the month like diapers, so I'll have to figure out that storage in a few weeks.
I'm 35 weeks this week and it's my last week of work!! Finishing on Friday and I'll be 36 weeks on Saturday!
We had an ultrasound and specialist appt this morning and she couldn't detect any ectopic heartbeats which is awesome! My fluid levels are on the upper end of normal but otherwise everything was looking good including my cervix which was about the same length as 6 weeks ago (she didn't bother doing an internal ultrasound which is far more accurate given I'm almost at 36 weeks).
They confirmed that I will definitely need to give birth at the hospital so they can scan her heart and check everything when she is born but hopefully we can have recovery at the birthing centre which is lovely and partners can stay over. The city I live in in New Zealand first time mothers normally stay there for a couple of days if all is well before going home and there are midwives and lactation consultants on call.
We just went to the movies and she went mental the entire film! My rib feels bruised from her kicking but I can't get enough of that feeling
QOTW: Everything is pretty much washed and organised but there is still a bunch of other junk in the nursery. It doesn't really because she will be sleeping in our room in the bassinet for the first who knows how long!
I'm really looking forward to having some time to nest/clean/organise next week!
@Colleen0516 With all the talk of poonami I keep hearing about I think it's very sensible to have a nearby changing station!
@MicronesianMamma I've been having Braxton hicks for ages but they are only just starting to get a bit painful now (like period pains). Mostly just my whole belly turns rock hard which makes it uncomfortable if I'm walking or trying to lean forward at all. But everyone and every pregnancy is different!
@JWatt5 @persnickity Glad to hear you both had a great time away:)
@JWatt5 It's likely he is tired as well but its better to have peace of mind if you are concerned.
@mjacks16 Wow I still can't believe you are moving in 3 weeks time! I hope you have some serious help sorted out!!
QOTW: I organized everything I could get my hands on haha. I have an organizer for breastfeeding on my nightstand with breast pads, lanolin, cloths, a clock, nightlight, and room for a huge water bottle. For the first few months she will be in our room so I will be feeding her sitting up in bed. I have extra large pillows for that purpose too. @Colleen0516 I also have a changing station set up downstairs, it is in our pack n play bassinet insert. I got an organizing basket for little stuff like cream and nail clippers and cloths and put that in there too. It worked well when we had DD and poopsplosions almost every day. One tip: if you have a poopsplosion take the yucky onesie off down the baby's body instead of up over her head! I don't know why it took us so long to figure that out but it keeps you from getting poop on her head.

First IUI 9/26/16: BFP!

QOTW - similar to @persnickity I am an organizational freak and we are using bins for most things in the closet. I've labeled these with little chalkboard tags - I'll remember to take pictures tonight and post them. I need to get some plastic bins for the bathroom cabinets and to organize bottles (I have two sets of friends giving me two different sets of bottles so I'll just organize them both until we figure out what the baby likes). I have two diaper caddies set up with diapers, wipes and assorted creams to place on the floors our nursery isn't on - I'll have to add an outfit or two to that, genius idea @Colleen0516 !
I'm LOVING all these organizational/nesting tips though. I never even thought to put together a nursing kit and am totally going to steal that idea @kdanjou ! If anyone has suggestions on how to pack a diaper bag I'd take them. I feel like a fish out of water on what to put in there and haven't had a chance to check Pinterest yet.
@JWatt5 - I hope you are feeling some movement. Your story is pretty much mine last week after our babymoon. My walking so much tired the LO out but by Wednesday I was back to being kicked every which way. It took the peace of mind of an NST first though and my OB said to NEVER hesitate to call. Do not think for one second that you could be bothering them - it's something they take very seriously and will never question. She made me feel better
@Colleen0516 - congrats on hitting that major milestone!! How exciting
@MicronesianMamma - I have had a few BH contractions (I think) - they are low under my belly and feel exactly like you describe.

Brayden is measuring 5lbs 10oz
Hannah is measuring 5lbs 3oz
Hannah is head down and still first out
Brayden is still breech and bigger
Sooooo he doesn't think I should try natural birth and then possibly end up in a c section regardless. He told me he could try and turn Brayden after Hannah is out but it's not a gaurenteed. He said he wants to avoid having me recover from two different types of delievery... which makes sense! But again, slightly disappointing because I really wanted to try andlabkr with them!
so they are calling today with a scheduled 38 week c section date! Crazy to think I will have a gaurenteed day soon!

@Colleen0516 congratulations on making it so far! I know it must be hard thinking about going back to work but now you should be out of the hospital and home with those bouncing babies quickly!
I finished work yesterday! I have a couple of things too finish up over the weekend but I'm now off work for an entire year. It will be tight financially on one wage but I'm so grateful to have the opportunity for this time with my baby.
As a feminist and someone invested in my profession as part of my identity it's challenging but I'll get over that - possibly on Monday morning when I can sleep in!
@Colleen0516 congrats!! Is it weird to have a definitive date?? What an event to look forward to!
@nellin-2 - wow! How awesome is that?? Enjoy every minute of it!
@JWatt5 - YES! I keep seeing random old wives tales-type articles pop in my Facebook feed (likely because I click on them all...) and I'm about 80/20 on the boy side when it comes to them. However, my DH is convinced it's a girl b/c, well, karma
