Que? Finding out the sex of your baby is a luxury and not a necessity.  Therefore, most doctors wait until the anatomy scan (which is to check for proper development and possible problems).  I'm one of the ones that has to wait because I didn't want to pay extra for the early blood test.  I don't mind waiting though.  Back in the day, everyone was Team Green! Lol

DS1 is 7.  DD is 1.  DS2 is coming in late April.

I'm just having trouble with the sentence???  But I think most people find out gender at the 20 week A/S.

@mariposa_767s Maybe it would making knowing faster and more convenient - like a drone just could just fly up there take a pic and send you the results!  No need for an appointment.  Also, I would HATE that and it made me think of those creepy things from Minority Report.

As much as I'd like to know what I'm having, I'm grateful there was no need for anything to be done that would let me find out earlier than my A/S. I'm happy waiting. If it matters that much, get an elective ultrasound?

If it makes any of you feel better. I paid for a genetic test - not to find out the gender but to check the health of my baby - I'm a worrier and I have had medical issues but nothing that warrants me being high risk according to my dr. And I still have to wait to until 20 weeks! Apparently the testing I got done isn't the same that everyone else is? I didn't think there was a huge difference in them. Makes me sad but guess I'll just wait the extra month to find out
