  • Clooney babies have definitely been my first most anticipated babies. I toyed with naming LO Amal if it's a girl because I think she's seriously incredible and I look up to her for sure. Unfortunately, DH is not into the name.

  • I love them!! George is from the same town in Kentucky that I was born in. He's a really nice guy from all accounts. I've always wanted to meet him! My dad's friend met Amal last time he brought her home and said she was charming. The night of their wedding the local pub put on a party for them and he sent bottles of his tequila brand and champagne. I thought that was cute.

Thank goodness they had children because that is a genetic mix that would be a shame not to pass on!

I like the names! I think the trend of crazy names that no one wants as an adult should end.

  • I suppose I'm slightly surprised neither of the kids has an Arabic name just based on her background. Not that she has to name either of them Arabic names just because she's Arabic. Ella and Alexander are super cute names!

I seriously love this woman. I want to hate her but she's amazing. And of course she even handles pregnancy like a pro! She looks stunning in that picture. Meanwhile I am over here eating my second bagel with cream cheese in sweatpants...#myhero

@DuchessOfCambridge my family is from an Arab country and we opted for Arabic first names and "English" middle names. But in this environment it's really hard on kids to have more traditional Arab names, if you catch my drift. I've been keeping the nod to my heritage subtle with names that can go in either direction:)

  • @rms924 we're doing something similar :) Our kids will have Arabic first names and English middle names (DH's grandparents' names) but we're going for names that are easy to say as well. My legal name is sooooo hard for people to say.

  • @DuchessofCambridge and @rms924 DH and I are flipping that. Our kids will get English first names and Southeast Asian middle names. I want both names to be easily pronounceable and intuitive to pronounce based on spelling. I've been with DH for 15 years, and I *still* struggle with his full first name because it has syllables in it that don't exist in English. I'd like my kids to avoid having to incessantly spell/pronounce their names. Luckily, DH's last name is super easy to spell and pronounce in English (mostly...people still manage to mispronounce it at times..lol). So, they should be fine there!
  • Not really "celebrity" but does anyone know about the KJP brand and the ClassyGirlsWearPearls blog? Its a husband/wife team that I'm obsessed with and they just announced they're Expecting in October! I love her blog and I love all the things they sell! They're pretty pricey though so it's taken me four years to buy three items from them haha. Love that she's pregnant at the same time so I can have some maternity fashion inspiration!

  • I read this story and was like "oh thank God they aren't using our names"  :D
Yes. A friend of mine named her daughter Charlotte in May of 2015. I'm sure you can imagine the endless comments.

I was our girl name for our May 2015 team green baby. So glad we got DS instead of the constant comments.

Yeeep.  We have a Charlotte from August 2015.   We almost changed our name choice because of the Princess but decided to stick with it.   B)

@DuchessOfCambridge  my legal name is hard too even though it's literally two syllables! It's arabic but easy to say (I think) but it's still annoying- I have to constantly correct people blah blah. I am struggling with this one- #1 was eas(ier). Now I am having a second boy and I am pretty limited on boy names unfortunately!

    :)
