I've given up. One week left of school. I went to the store and bought breakfast hot pockets and lean cuisine pasta for lunches. So good!
We went to the farmer's market last night and bought the most delicious strawberries and peaches I've ever eaten in my life. Now that's all I want to snack on and they're almost gone
All I want today is buffalo wings and a cheeseburger...before the evening nausea kicks in. I've had so much red meat lately it's ridiculous. I did this with DS too. Maybe it's a boy
Nothing sounds good and hasn't for weeks. I'm so over it. @mdfarmchick not pregnant me LOVES avocados, and right now the very thought of them repulses me. Why is this happening?!?!
I can't eat leftovers. And that how my house gets through the week. But I just can't do it. I was like that last time. And all I want is lunch meat sandwiches. So heating that ish up and eating them. And yesterday was my birthday so we bought a small cake. I really wish we would have just bought the big cake so I could eat it all week.

I'm having aversions to coffee - the smell makes me want to throw up. And I LOVE coffee. It's not fair!
Watermelon tastes like a dream going down, but sits like a ton of bricks. Sucks! Made some Thai Basil Fried Rice yesterday and I just kept wanting more. We forgot onions and it still tasted good! Nausea has been interesting... Never know when it is going to hit and what is going to make it feel better, but food is really the key, at least for me.
Is anyone else besides me eating tons of junk? Fruits and vegetables have just not sounded good at all lately. All I want is salt and fat. Can someone reassure me that I'm not doing irreparable damage?
@Peepster Unfortunately for me, I am right there with you...snacking all day. I had 3 waffles for dinner. This has to stop, but it's so hard! I gained 60 lbs my last pregnancy. My midwife said my goal is to gain 20 this time. That scares the crap out of me. FX that something wild happens in the second trimester and all I want is healthy stuff.
@Peepster same. I'm trying to have fruits and veggies with every meal but they can be hard to get down sometimes. I think at this point, it's mostly important to just get any food in you can (within reason). Obviously you don't want to be eating all junk food, but I found with DD that I got my appetite back midway through 2nd tri and I was able to eat much better.
@CANTW82BMOM and @schaze Good to know I'm not alone. This is so different from my first pregnancy. Any nausea that I had then I could nix by eating some protein like cheese, eggs, or yogurt. This time it doesn't matter what I eat. I'll feel good for about 5 minutes, then the nausea comes back. And the food aversions are awful! Nothing sounds good. It's like I have to force myself to eat something to see if it sits well. On a positive note, we just got back from eating at a buffet. Salad finally didn't sound repulsive to me, so I stocked my plate with leafy greens, cucumbers, and tomatoes. OMG, the tomatoes tasted so good! Now they're all I want.... Cold tomato slices drizzled with ranch dressing. And watermelon! I'm ready for 2nd tri. I want my appetite back!
Breakfast sandwiches from the gas station and chicken flavored rice seem to be the only thing that curbs this nausea. I try to at alEast eat something regularly but these things are the only thing that truly make me feel somewhat human again.
Proud of you ladies for eating healthy! I, on the other hand, am just eating whatever I don't think I'm going to throw back up. My MS has eased a ton, but still have strong food aversions. I could easily eat pizza for every single meal right now. This week, I've been craving vanilla milkshakes (helps SO much with indigestion) and Tostito's Scoops and Salsa! Also craving butter beans and rice with hot sauce, but haven't gotten up the energy to cook any.
I just want all the cheese. Sharp cheddar cheese, mac n cheese, Cheetos. Nom nom nom. Pizza also sounds good, like the cheap Totinos party pizzas. I'm basically craving all the things I ate as a broke undergrad student.
I've been having kind of a weird breakfast that I just love - a healthy version of huevos rancheros. I put two corn tortillas in the toaster. I made a big batch of refried black beans last weekend (Instant Pot - I love you). Then I smear the beans on the tortillas, cook a couple eggs, plop them on top of the beans, and top with salsa. It's so good.
@schaze@burnsmommy27 I'm also on the coffee aversion train. I find a half glass of caffeinated soda mid day helps settle my stomach a bit and gets me through the rest of the day.
I have a meet and greet with my boss and a new client today at Cheesecake Factory...I could go without the meeting, but I've been looking forward to today all week!!!
Well, this is my desk, folks. And the big joy here is the Unreal bag in the middle. I just went to the grocery and discovered them. They are essentially vegan Peanut M&Ms. I'm a vegan and have been since I was 7, so needless to say I haven't had a peanut M&M in forever. Even if I throw up later, it has been worth it!
