I'm excited to go home and get to see family, even though we have the bad (or good, depending on how they see it) news to share with them.

Awesomely enough, my BFF will actually be back in the hometown from Maine this weekend for her step-mother's retirement party. Haven't seen her since last summer, so that is definitely a big perk for the weekend as well.

AFM - I'm heading away on a girl's weekend to the coast! 2:30pm can't come fast enough! Massages, girl talk, wine, chocolate! Should be great.

AFM- I'm heading to Louisville shortly and will attend a jazzercise training this evening with 3 other girls from my center. We are spending the night so a little girl time for me too. The rest of the wkd I will just be hanging with boys (DH and DS) nothing planned

AFM
Dreaded "Mother's Day Dinner" with my mother and company tomorrow. DH better get out of work in time!

The bulk of my meds are arriving tomorrow. Going to take up precious fridge space. Secretly hoping that I won't use it and it'll all be a waste, but who am I kidding?

Supposed to be rainy here, again.

DH took 4 hours of OT this afternoon. We may do a date night, will need to play be ear.

Other than that, regular house bitch stuff.

Tonight not much. Tomorrow DD has to go to a friends bday party and I'm seriously considering just DH taking her so I can get some alone time. I want DH to do some of the chores on his list in the morning. Sunday I'm meeting a old college friend for lunch.

@SP128 just out of curiosity, what does your family think of the IVF? Are you even telling them?
@ladipale enjoy girls weekend!!! I can't wait for mine next weekend in Chicago--it'll be a board review course, but still with my girls!!

AFM-it's GORGEOUS out here in OR and I'm in the coffee house studying. I have brain fry, and I'm not scheduled to take my boards until 6/26/17! ha ha ha. Alright, I'll quitmahbitchin'.....regular group run tomorrow and dinner with some work girls, which should be fun. Still trying to keep it from them I'll be changing jobs in July (promised my boss). Sunday prep food. Woo.

Teaching question dilemma came go me today and I can't decide.
I'm signed up to teach summer school...but that same week there is I teach 1st conference in Vegas.
Summer school or vegas?

@Chawk17 do you have to pay for the conference? Vegas is brutally hot in the summer but would be a blast. We were there for April vacay.

@amberruka my mother has no clue we are ttc. She yells at me to get preg every single time I see her. If she knew I had the mcs, she would blame me for losing them because I'm "so old" and would hear a bunch of I told you sos.
my mother is so delusional that when I went through my divorce a couple years ago she lectured me about not having kids with my ex husband. Then she said I would at least have someone and not die alone. F that

i don't plan on telling my family about ivf. Not feeling the explaining it and how I did it to myself for not being able to have kids naturally. Plus my mother doesn't know how to keep a secret and everyone would know. I wouldn't be ashamed if people knew I conceived through ivf, but I don't want my struggles to be announced freely

@SP128 id only have to pay for food and drinks. It's July 10-14...and then what if I get pregnant. That won't be fun. Ahhh

See, @Chawk17, this is where the struggle begins with DH being let go. Normally I would say if there are enough other teachers to cover summer school go to Vegas for sure. But now, I say work and get that money!!!

See @tlq0726 that's where I'm struggling. Summer school is about $1750...thats a lot of extra money I could use. But it's work and not as fun.
Or go have fun in Vegas and lose money!

Shoot...I'll probably end up working ahhh.

ill let everyone know how tonight goes. Mommy dearest was baffled that I told her I would meet her at the restaurant. She invited my brothers "friend" that lives with them. I was like, "can't he drive you?" What sense does it make to chauffeur her if someone else is going to the same place at the same time ? Thinking she wants me to chauffeur my aunts. Thinking my phone will run out of battery if she calls.

@Chawk17 I would go on the free trip. I went on a nice trip the summer before I was ttc my 1st. And looking back it was nice because it was something I will probably not be able to do for quite sometime.

@sp128 no way should you have had kids with your x - they you would have been tied to him for 18 years. I was married for a very short time 11 years ago and I'm glad we didn't have kids. I could barely take care of myself at the time. We were actually separated when he passed away so the divorce didn't happen and I became a widow instead. Talk about life giving you a curve ball. When I feel discouraged about TTC I think about other times in my life when it didn't go like I planned but turned out amazing in the end because now I have DH and DD.

Good news ladies! The family is very excited that we're moving home. DH was conveniently diagnosed with strep throat and the flu on Friday, so I ended up being the one to make the announcement. My uncle has offered us the apartment, so at least we have somewhere to live. Now we just have to figure out what to do for July, get the house sold, and find jobs once we move.
