Re: WTO/TWW - June 4

  • Thanks for starting this @JennyColada! I'm excited to participate with you guys!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: CD 2

WTO - WAYDTGKU: PNV, charting temps & CM, AF is in town so not much else

R/R: not much going on . I'm having a lazy day which is nice. I hope you ladies are doing well. Is it me or has it been really slow here lately?

CS/Q: my cycle was a mess last month. I told some of you about how FF didn't pinpoint O. AF came on schedule, so I guess I did. I've been tracking since January so I'm hoping it was just a weird cycle. Anyone had this problem before?

GTKY: If you could pick anywhere in the world to live, where would you choose and why? I'd love to live by the ocean. It's been a few years since I've been and I miss it!!

R/R: rave: uh, so even though my EWCM came on suddenly (a week before expected), DH and I DTD last night and EXCUSE ME it was probably THE BEST EVER.
CS/Q: nothing yet, just waiting for CH
GTKY: I'm a total city gal. I used to want to live in London, but after a 3 month study abroad I decided that I'd hate it long term. I love Southern California (where we live now), but would probably prefer to live a bit closer to downtown LA (although to get a house that's bigger than a shoebox with any sort of yard would be outrageous).
  • @JNCPro3130 wish I had something useful to say, but I'm a total tracking n00b. I'm just happy that I was able to track my FW with CM.
  • @JennyColada, it's okay. This may have just been a weird cycle. If not, I'll have to figure out something different in July.

    WTO - WAYDTGKU: Charting

TWW - Timing: I thought it was decent

    R/R: Fing chart :(

CS/Q: I had the most positive OPK I have ever had in my entire life along with so much EWCM and then no temp shift. I'm still doing OPKs but I've dried up. I know my chart does not appear that I ovulated, but my cycles have been normal for the first time in forever and I was really hoping I would O. I have a history of weak ovulation and annovulation, so this is disheartening.  https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3a421f/]My%20Ovulation%20Chart

GTKY: If you could pick anywhere in the world to live, where would you choose and why? Probably coastal eastern US, love the beach but don't want to be far from family.

@JNCPro3130 Yay for TTC! I have too much of a history of weird cycles. It happens, and it sucks when it does.

@JennyColada Yay for good sex! Hope cycle 2 is your lucky one!

  • @LivingTheDream i'm sorry for all the confusion. I know the CM is possible without an O but I think the OPKs are usually pretty accurate. Also when I was tracking with my first I never had a temp shift for O just the increase after implantation.

I'm so excited for all of us that are on cycle 1!!!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: CD 3

WTO - WAYDTGKU: Temping, CM, Sex of course ;)

R/R: My period was so light I almost didn't know if I should count it. I'm only counting it because it's two weeks from when I had the EWCM so it would make sense. In all honesty i'm not surprise b/c when I was on BCP I would go months without a period at all and I've never had heavy periods.

    CS/Q: Not really

GTKY: If you could pick anywhere in the world to live, where would you choose and why? This is a really hard question for me. I like living in the midwest and having all four seasons, lakes to fish and rivers to float. I really like the western/mountain states, but I'd miss all the green. Having a beach close would be nice too. I like to travel so I see many ups and downs to different places.

@JNCPro3130 - yes, it's been slower here this past week. As for your other question, I had a weird anovulatory cycle in January, but AF came right on time. Every once in a while I have a weird cycle. You're temping and tracking CM so you should have a pretty good idea if you ovulated. CM isn't an end-all (you can get patches of fertile mucus a few different times, so it's not exact, but the temps should have narrowed it down. Hard to tell without looking at your chart! happy to peek if you want to share.

    @JennyColada - woo-hoo for great sex!

@livingthedream - hmmm. I'm so sorry to hear about your anovulatory history. Something that's hard in the first place is just made so much harder, and none of us deserve that. :( Have you talked to your OB-GYN about it yet?

    @kindbytealikat - light periods FTW!!

GTKY: If you could pick anywhere in the world to live, where would you choose and why? I'm a midwestern girl through and through. I need my seasons. But i think i'd like to live on a lake - get the fun water views and seasons, but no hurricane worries. But there's a part of me that would like to live WAY up north, like Alaska or Maine.

  • kindbytealikat That is interesting to hear about you Oing w/o a temp shift, I have never experienced that.
catlady2015 I have a history of IF, and are all too familiar with our issues. We worked with an RE. I have thyroid and autoimmune issues, so that is what contributes to my wonky cycles.

  • @JNCPro3130 I pretty much always have wonky cycles, so I have nothing to offer, lol. FF doesn't seem to like the fact that I don't temp at the same time every day, but that's my schedule. The ocean would be a lovely place to live by! Unless you get a hurricane. It has been kinda slow on the board lately! I know I was off a lot this week because my mom was in town, and I think a couple people said they were going on vacation.

@JennyColada Yay for good sex! That's awful that the cost of living where you want to be is so high. I'm so jealous that you studied abroad! Was it in London, or elsewhere?

@LivingTheDream I wish I had something that could help :(

@kindbytealikat I love your reasons for each area you want to live in, lol.

@catlady2015 I spent about four months in Alaska several years ago! It was absolutely gorgeous.

    Month/Cycle: Benched

R/R: My birthday was Saturday. DH and I were planning to have sex at some point this weekend. Didn't happen. Was hoping it would happen tonight. Nope. He had some sort of weird discharge while he was at work, and I just started shark week. >.<

CS/Q: https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6a6564 So, apparently FF doesn't like the fact that I sleep at different times and therefore temp at different times. I only started temping with this cycle, but had 5 years of period data on another app. I imported the last year of it into FF so that it has SOMETHING to go on besides temping. I've started doing this now so that I can get a handle on my cycle before we actually start trying, since I have the time and am slightly obsessed with preparation. Anyway, OPKs almost always give me a negative, but I'm wondering if it's just that I got a shoddy batch (Amazon cheapies; I recently found out I have money in an HSA, so I bought the ClearBlue ones, too). It also thinks I ovulated last week, but I'd had EWCM earlier in the month. Why is this so confusing? Aside from not temping at the same exact time every day, am I doing something wrong?

GTKY: If you could pick anywhere in the world to live, where would you choose and why? I'm actually living there, lmao. I love living in the Orlando area. The only thing I miss about Chicago is the people and the food. I'd love to visit other places, but I don't want to live anywhere but central Florida right now.

  • @dreamscapes_ I actually studied in Oxford (which I LOVED, and could totally see myself wanting to live there! But it's too dang cold for me to be happy) and spent a fair amount of time in London. London is probably one of my least-favorite metropolitan cities (second only to Rome), but it probably is mostly due from me LOVING Oxford SO much.

@JennyColada congrats on awesome sex!! Haha

@LivingTheDream new to temping still, but maybe you did O even though there was no shift? I hope so!!

@kindbytealikat My last period was light like that! And I've always had heavy ones!! I could get used to the super light period I had, haha

@catlady2015 Hoping you can start next cycle!!

@dreamscapes_ I think you're okay taking temps at different times as long as you do it right as you wake up and get either 3 or 4+ hours of consistent sleep. FF will give you open circles, but it will still calculate things. (This is what I've gathered from lurking on TTGP)

    Still TTA

    CD/DPO: 32/6

R/R: more of just a random vent thing, so maybe a rant, haha...my last cycle was 73 days. And according to FF I never O'd (very probable since it was my first cycle off BCP [using other BC methods]). According to FF I'm now 6 DPO, so I'm really hoping I get a period before 73 Days this time!!!

GTKY: If you could pick anywhere in the world to live, where would you choose and why?

Could I move my city somewhere else? Haha. I LOVE Kansas City!! But the weather sucks. Either freezing cold or scorching hot. And so random!! I kid you not...back in either March or April, we had a week where it rained, snowed, hailed, was below freezing, was above 70, and had tornadoes. ALL IN ONE WEEK!!!!!!!! So if anything, I'd just like to stabilize the weather in my current city, hahaha.

  • @catlady FX for CD1 soon so you can get the show on the road.
@dreamscapes_  Happy Birthday (mine was Sunday  ) Ugh for crappy chart. After awhile I usually stop temping and just go with my CM and OPKs. I use Wondfo OPKs and test twice a day or I'd miss my surge.
@CecilB93 Hope you have better cycle, want a chart stalk?

  • @LivingTheDream I'm fairly positive last cycle was an-O. I had dotted crosshairs a couple times but they disappeared as soon as a new temp was entered. So far this month the dotted crosshairs have stayed and not changed. Obviously not a huge deal ATM since we're TTA until Oct/Nov, but just trying to figure out what my body is doing until then. I have OPKs and keep thinking I'll use them, but never do, haha. Maybe when we start TTC I'll be better about it.

(sorry if these are huge...I'm mobile)

    Last cycle

(Check out the 16 days of hell...)

  • @CecilB93 The saddest thing about the top chart is the 16 day period, you poor thing. No OPKs? I'd love to see that if you did, I definitely think that looks like an ovulatory chart to me. You may have even O'd around CD22/23 with a slow rise.

  • @CecilB93 are the red cross hairs and paid membership thing? I never saw them before when I used it with DS1 but I only used it for 3 months and my charts were super wonky. So I am curious

  • @JennyColada That's awesome! I've never been to Europe, but I'd love to eventually. Yay for the peak OPK!

@CecilB93 I do that, at least. I just hate seeing the dashed lines and open circles, lol. I know it's silly, but it bugs me that it's not all uniform. I lurk over there as well :) FX that your cycle won't last so long this time! I totally understand wanting to stabilize the weather in your city, lol. Also, holy crap, that 16 day period. That's insane.

@LivingTheDream Thanks! Happy birthday to you, too! Crappy charts suck.

@kindbytealikat I don't think they are. From what I understand, they pop up when the app "detects ovulation", based on your input. I got dashed crosshairs the other day, which apparently means that my "ovulation signs are in conflict".

  • @LivingTheDream I wonder how it would be different if I had remembered to record CD22!! And even CD28, which I SWEAR I recorded, but didn't realize that I didn't until I was recording the next day and couldn't remember by then what it was. Also, that 16 day period was my first one post-BCP, so not totally surprising. And no on the OPKs. As mentioned, I do have them, but I never think to use them! The last month or so has been super crazy, I hope to start using them sometime this summer. I was hoping my cycles would regulate a little bit before I try.

@kindbytealikat I'm definitely not paying for FF, haha. Like @dreamscapes_ said, the dotted crosshairs are basically FF saying, "based on your data we think you O'd on this day, but really we couldn't be sure". If it's very obvious then the lines are solid.

@dreamscapes_ ugh some of my missed days dashed lines are really annoying me. Because I know I took my temps, just forgot to record!! On my top chart I did travel and leave my BBT at home. I figured I didn't wanna risk losing or breaking it since we're not actually trying yet.
    DS1 born 2/28/16
    DS2 due 12/12/18

  • @CecilB93 Yeah, I don't pay for FF, either. If we end up trying for over a year, I might consider it, but right now, it's not even a possibility, given how expensive their service is. I like the idea of the dashed lines, but I'm just like "I'm doing what I can, it's not my fault my sleep schedule changes!" Are you doing any more traveling anytime soon?

  • I got a huge temp spike this morning which coincides with other O symptoms. So exciting!

Im also using the free FF. I'm still in my first month "trial" period, so I'm not really sure how the service is different if you're in a "real" free membership.

@catlady2015 I like some of the tools, so if a really good sale pops up and I have the extra money, I'm sure I will do the VIP. But for now, free works just fine :)
