FFFC 6/2

My confession is I eat 80% of the arrowroot cookies that I buy for Damien. The box never lasts long between the two of us. We usually eat them together but he still looks at me like I've betrayed him by "stealing" his cookies.

My other confession/vent is that my husband is seeing his favorite band tonight with his buddies and, as a result, has informed me he will not be doing anything tomorrow so he can "recover" (i.e. hangover day). This includes taking Damien to his swim lesson, which is his father-son activity they do every Saturday morning. I used to give him "passes" for things like this before Damien came along. It was his opportunity to party with his buddies and have a recovery day the next day without feeling obligated to do anything (and no nagging from me). My confession is that I'm annoyed that he still feels entitled to a "pass day" even now that Damien is here. I certainly don't get pass days. All that said, he only does it a couple times a year so it's not a frequent thing. I'm just annoyed.

  • #1- DH wants to pick Savannah up after an engagement party tomorrow so my parents don't have to take her overnight. I was really looking forward to drinking and having sex, not sleeping in bed with the baby and being woken up at 5am!

#2- We are such lazy parents that we haven't even tried putting Savannah in her crib recently, she just comes to bed with us now. My plan is to sleep train her as soon as I'm done with school for the summer, we shall see how that goes!

My husband informed me that I need to try harder to converse with my MIL.  She does not speak English and I do not speak Chinese, Hmong, Thai or Laotion, all of which she can speak... My confession is I am not sure how much I care if I am the favorite DIL and dang it I wish she had learned English since she has officially lived in the US longer than anywhere else.  I am feeling lazy  :s catch me on a different day and I would most likely feel different, but today this is me.

  • 1. Yesterday I nearly had a melt down because nearly every item of clothing I have is either ripped, stained, or so old it's showing it's age. I'm getting so tired of feeling frumpy, but I can't justify spending money in clothes till I find a job. I know it shouldn't matter, but I used to very into fashion and design, and it's hard for me to swallow,

    2. I really wish I could take a vacation by myself. Like, just me. No husband or kids. I would go to a play, walk around a museum without chasing kids, eat something I like, and actually sleep for a full night. It's my little secret dream.

  • My baby has probably ate like 4 chocolate chip cookies today, and that is all I have fed him so far because we are having a garage sale and he is skeptical of everything that he has to feed himself unless it's cookies lol.
  • Savannah just ate an entire funfetti cupcake by herself, and no it is not her birthday yet  :D

  • So I babysit one of my best friend's 15 month old on Fridays.... My confession... She is the most dramatic toddler I've ever met and i don't like her most days.  If Preston even walks too close she cries and hits him. He just looks at her like "what?" Lol.  She also has insane mood swings where she will be giggles then suddenly cry.  And let me explain, I'm used  to Preston's cries which aren't that loud. This child first gives a warning.. then a long pause....then a shriek so loud and long it bottoms out you eardrum.   She communicates by pointing to what she wants so she is at the stage where "if I point then that means I get it" well she kept asking for things she can't have like my protein shake, Preston's food, or the window/door to go outside.  She even threw a fit while I  was nursing Preston, she wanted nothing to do with us until she saw my boob come  out then she demanded to be  held and read to.  She doesn't her way, she scream.  Hungry? Screams. Not the right food? ear piercing. Breath on her? Forget about it. Now play that on repeat for 2-4 hours.  She has become the perfect birth control because I fear my second could be this bad.  *Exhale*. It's been a long day...

Sorry that sucks! My niece and nephew are both very difficult kids and while I love them both dearly they are exhausting to watch! Savannah is so easy going that it makes having her easier than a 5 and 8 year old.

My only advice? Just be glad it isn't Preston!
