Had my US and got results of my sequential screen. The good news is the sequencial screen lowered my risk even further so that's great news. Baby looked great on US but there is small calcification on the heart which is typically a soft marker for DS. However even after considering the soft marker and recalculating my risk my dr still thinks I am low risk. So al in all great news but it's of course bothersome. I'm Asian and calcification on heart for asians is more common. Eitherways, I will be speaking to a genetic counselor tomorrow to understand this soft marker better but more than likely it does not look like we need to do the amnio. And btw...it was too early to confirm but it seems more than likely we are having a girl!!! That feels surreal!!
My appointment yesterday went well! 16 weeks, baby's HR was in the 140's, and I'm measuring perfectly! Next appointment will be the AS, so I can't wait for that!
... ANDDDD this mama had blood taken for the third appt in a row and didn't even need a juicebox afterwards. #brave #butalsopathetic
I'm glad I'm not the only juice box mama! I got to skip one today, too, also my third or fourth blood draw in a row!
Had my 16 week checkup this morning. Baby sounds good! Set my A/s for June 29. I think my OB slipped up and referred to baby as "he" (we elected to stay in the dark but I know it's in the NIPT paperwork). She back pedaled and said she meant my 2yo boy at home. Sure, sure you did. Oh well.
I had my 17 week apt today. Everything looked good with baby and we found out it's a boy! I've been having some abdominal and cervix/vaginal pain. The dr told me to walk less but I think I'm also just noticing LO pushing on my cervix. I've had a few days of around 8,000 steps. I also had a blood draw for the second trimester screening. I forget if it's NIPT or quad, I had a test first tri and in addition to this test they get results. We move next week so they're emailing me the results.
I was going to take a pic of the glucose drink for you ladies to make you jealous but I was being watched like a hawk as if I was going to dump it out. Hell no it tastes like childhood. So here's my hand and the time I get blood drawn. Sorry if it's so big. Mobile problems.
