When is your ticker change day? Tuesday

How far along are you? 26 weeks

How big is your baby (babies)? Bowling Pin (that seems big!)

Team Pink/Blue/Green (if you know)? Boy!

Any upcoming appointments this week? I have a chiropractor appointment scheduled for Friday, hopefully to alleviate my hip and back pain.

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Still feeling great except this hip pain! My midwife recommended a chiropractor that specializes in pregnancy and pediatrics. Apparently hip pain can be a sign of a misalignment that can cause a more difficult labor, and adjustments during pregnancy may be able to prevent future problems. Hoping for the best!

Rants/Raves/Questions? We moved furniture around in our bedroom over the weekend and set up the recliner/glider! It takes up way more space than I thought! Looking like the bassinet may need to go towards the bottom of our bed. Sorry, baby...

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why? I love the Christmas season. I love the excitement and build-up of decorating and watching holiday movies. I've actually watched Elf 3 times this week since it's my 2 year old niece's latest obsession.

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? I want watermelon ALL. DAY. LONG

Rants/Raves/Questions? When we moved into our "new" house 4 years ago, our bed frame broke and my husband never fixed it. We have been sleeping with our mattress and box spring on the floor since we moved in. I spent my first pregnancy there, but ended up needing to sleep in our Lazy Boy chairs the last two months because I couldn't get out of the bed so close to the floor. I've been fussing about this same "too close to the floor" issue the past few weeks and talking about moving to the chair and my husband went out and bought us a new bed frame. Y'all, I am so excited about being able to get out of bed without groaning and pulling myself up in the middle of the night. It took FOREVER to build (because it's IKEA) but so worth it!

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why? My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love the whole season of festivities and music! My husband thinks I'm crazy, but the holiday music starts the day after Thanksgiving on my radio in the car

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? The hip and back pain is getting unbearable. I can't get out of bed! Also gas.. it's so embarassing. It just.. squeaks out on its own and I can't stop it or help it!!! When did I turn into a gross person??

Rants/Raves/Questions? We sects nursery furniture and my mom bought it for us! Excited to have a dresser to put all the cloth diapers in. But also... we're now broke due to my cloth diaper buying this past week lol

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why?
I loooove Christmas! My family all gets together and we watch A Christmas Story on Christmas Eve, and then we all sleep over at my parents! So we'll have LO over there too in my childhood bedroom! On Christmas morning we're like little kids again. We wake each other up upstairs going door to door and go down the stairs to be wowed by the gifts under the tree. We have a lot of fun being children still!

My next appointment is a week from today. We will have the second birthing class next Tuesday

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?
My feet are soooooooooooooo swollen! This is new. And weird. And hurts.

Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not in anyway saying I'm prepared, but we had our first birthing class yesterday and compared to all the couples there.... We're good. Or at least we have a lot more random knowledge and plans and adaptability. I put a lot of that as being attributed to everyone on here being so awesome.

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why?
We are a Christmas bunch here! I love it. I love the lights, the snow, the excitement... everything. I pretty much get sick of winter as soon as mid-January hits, but until then everything is awesome. That said, my DH hates Christmas or is at best apathetic. That said, we have my stepson every other year and we always go all out so I know now it will be a big thing every year with this LO.

Any upcoming appointments this week? Had a dental appointment today but that is it

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? I have had a bad cold going on so actually the pregnancy symptoms seem to be pretty mild in comparison. Almost on the mend now.

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why? Favorite maybe Thanksgiving or Easter because they are pretty low key and include good food...they are sometimes spent at home or on vacation with family. Least favorite is maybe New Years...I am not much of a `so just not a lot to the holiday for me.

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Only change is baby is moving so much more! We actually could see her pushing out and moving my stomach what a great feeling!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave! My hubby has been such a big help through this whole pregnancy I am so grateful. This weekend we started the nursery and he did most of the hard work I am very lucky.

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why? My favorite holiday would have to be Thanksgiving. I love getting together with family and of course love eating!!!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone have any book suggestions on how to keep baby alive in first few months? I've not done ANY research on how to actually care for a baby and I should probably start doing that...

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why? I love the feeling around Christmas time. It makes my heart happy.

@Cats*in*space, with DS I also concentrated so much on reading and taking classes to support pregnancy and labor that I was quite off guard after he was born. I read What to Expect: The First Year every month of the first year. It was somewhat helpful if I had a question similar to those that they cover in each month. The best information on infant caregiving that I received was from the new parent classes that were offered through our hospital. The classes were informal, educational, and supportive. They also provided me a great opportunity to get out of the house and feel like a human. Perhaps they have something similar in your area?

We signed up for the classes offered by our hospital for free. It's a six week, 2 hours per week child birthing class. There's also three classes that are just one day for three hours reach on breast feeding, newborn care and baby safety. We got to go on a tour of the birthing facility at the first class on Tuesday which was super cool. Maybe your hospital has something similar? I think it's totally hitting that time. There was a couple in the class due in October!

Any upcoming appointments this week? Glucose screening in one week

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Some back & hip pain, fatigue again, getting winded easily, and rhinitis. I'm now craving Greek food, after finding out about a Greek festival coming up this weekend.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: work is getting on my nerves. I was asked to fill in this weekend, but I'm refusing. I usually say yes, but I already work a crazy shift through the week (2a-11a) but I'm filling in on 11p-8a Friday and Monday, and I just have to pull the pregnancy card because I need a break.
Rave: DH and I are planning to go to a registry event at BRU this weekend. Hoping to win a prize, but if nothing else, it's fun to register in a store since everything else I've done is online.

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why? Thanksgiving! I love Christmas too, but I think Thanksgiving has less pressure and is more laid back. I love to just hang out with the family and eat! DH proposed to me on Thanksgiving too, because he knows it's my fave.

BigBadWolf12 I am also loving the handme downs. Have you mostly gotten clothes? And if so what size...do they match with the season the baby will be at the time? I have had to do some editing with that.

@becauselove so far all the handmedowns have come from the same person (living overseas we don't have family or long term friends here, so it's literally a lady from church who recognized me on an "English speaking moms" FB page and reached out.) she has a boy born last November (very beginning of the month) and I'm due with a boy near the end of sept, so depending, anywhere from 4-8 weeks apart. But it's cold weather from October to April here (snowed multiple times in may this year.....) so "seasons" aren't as short/constrained here

I had a friend gift me a bunch of handme downs that are so stinking cute for newborns but a lot were summer dresses and even though it might be summery in Sept it might be super chilly...so may not get to use much of them except for some photo props or if we are in a highly heated house.

Not really, sciatic nerve pain came back a bit.

UGH the Nursery! Sometimes I just wish I didn't have to compromise with DH. I just want to pick the nursery theme that I want and go with it. Instead I get to "compromise" and I just don't want to on this one. I love that he is so involved in everything but sometimes I don't actually want your opinion DH, i'm just asking to be nice.

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why?

+1 to Christmas. I love that it is a whole season! everything looks so pretty, the house and the stores and the neighborhoods all have lights up, there are constant eating opportunities, everyone seems so happy. I am really looking forward to the next few Christmas Seasons with a LO. All of that being said, my DH hates Christmas so hopefully having a LO will make it fun for him again and he will come to love the season with me.

I like Thanksgiving because it's more laid back, but I love Christmas music and decorations. I'm generally pretty happy that whole time of year.

Went in for an unplanned appointment and ultrasound today, go back next Friday for another appointment.

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?
I woke up this morning with red bleeding. This is the second time this has happened, but it's been 3+ weeks since the last episode. Ultrasound today confirmed everything looks fine, but no one really knows what's causing the bleeding...

Rants/Raves/Questions?
Our nursery furniture arrived yesterday and this weekend we're going to start getting the nursery ready by moving out some furniture and picking out paint colors!

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why?
Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday. I love that it's not just a day or two, but a whole season of celebrations and activities. I also love carrying on all the traditions my family has developed over the years.

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why? I love Halloween and Christmas. Halloween b/c of the time of year and Christmas b/c of family and traditions.

Rants/Raves/Questions? My husband has been such a great help he really helps me out lot of foot rubs and preparing for the baby to come.

GTKY: What is your favorite, or least favorite, holiday, and why? My favorite holiday is Christmas because it a time of giving and spending time with my family. I love the smell and taste of Christmas its the most prettiest holidays of the year and everything is so bright and lit up. Christmas is a hard time for people and I feel the lights and trees just make people smile more!

@september_baby_momma did you not see an August 2017 mom call you out on having two accounts and claiming completely different due dates, etc? I suggest you not try to pretend like no one knows you have two accounts (one claiming an August due date and one claiming a September due date as seen below), because no one will trust you or want to develop a friendship with you based on the very little we know about you right now.
