Just got done...usual measurements etc. All is good. The next few are just quick checks than at the 36wk we do the ultrasound for position and talk about the labor plan etc based off of that, I am guessing they might do a cervix check at that point?!! Eeeeps, its coming so quick!
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
So at my appt today they had a hard time finding her heart beat. She has been moving like crazy so I wasn't too worried. But after about 10 min I started to panic. Then she got a new Doppler and found it right away, the blasted thing must have needed new batteries. Talk about freak me out. I start biweekly appts now and the doctor said she feels most comfortable with induction at 39 weeks, pending my bp can hang on that long. Once I get to 37, any spike in bp would be terms for immediate induction due to my history of bp and bleeding. She doesn't seem to think I'll make it to 39 weeks but I'm hoping I can.
Had my 30 week appt today. Start biweekly moving forward which is crazy. Got my tdap which some of you reminded me will most likely make me feel like crap tonight/tomorrow.
Dr discussed birth control for after baby. This is our last (3rd) and she mentioned she can do a tubal ligation after delivery even if it's a vaginal birth which is what I'm planning. For some reason I thought it was only if you got a C-section so I get to have that conversation with the husband tonight. Also got a Urologist referral for a vasectomy. I'm DONE with babies after this but still made me a little sad to think of.
I had a 28 week appointment today. I found out that I passed my glucose test so that was good. Weight and measurements are all good and heartbeat was good. Next appointment is in 2 weeks!
@pinkyswife I'm having a c-section and am also likely done, but not ready to pull the trigger on a tubal ligation. My doctor also mentioned that we could revisit it in a few years. I guess technology has changed with that.
I had a regular checkup today and just started the 2 week appointment cycle. I met the doctor who's scheduled to perform my c-section for the first time today. He was really nice and I felt very comfortable with him. We went over the 3 hour GTT instructions and he said I can still have some water after midnight, which made me feel better. I'm still dreading the test from a bad past experience, but hoping my veins cooperate this time.
