@QTAMum3 Congrats! @kissthesky32 I hope the antibiotics kick in soon! I always get viral pharyngitis and no meds. Been lucky since February.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
I'm getting random uticaria, or in other terms itchy bumps. Been getting them for weeks. I thought it was from poison ivy or even fleas but I get them so randomly like waking up this morning and one finger has them, and I got them on one stretch mark or last night it showed up on my forearm. They're miserable.
@MaximumEffort I have had itchy spots on my leg ever since I got a positive test. They will not go away no matter what I do! I think it's eczema for me. So annoying, especially since it's almost summer and I'm wearing dresses and shorts. They look gross.
And so the heartburn begins... Hoping for a redhead nugget!

Since you are talking about hair.... I'm hoping to have a baby with dark features like me. I have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes and DH has light brown hair and light brown eyes and I have two blonde hair blue eyed babies. i had horrible acid reflux with DD2 and she was born with thick long hair.
DH and I both have very very thick curly black hair (I straighten mine most days) and brown eyes. This baby is coming out with thick curly black hair and brown eyes. I'm quite tan and he's white but a darker white so I think this baby will come out pretty tan and look a good mix of us which makes me happy My eyes are enormous and DH's are not but still very nice looking (he's got great long lashes) so we'll see what happens there. I pray this baby miraculously does not get either of our noses. Schnoz fest in this family.
All DH said was that he didn't care what our babies looked like as long as they had his blue eyes (seriously the man has a beautiful eye color) DS is his carbon copy but with my brown eyes. Maybe we'll get the opposite this time?
@ooodalollly In third tri its really easy for me to get baby's HB with my stethoscope. I've never had a Doppler, so it's nice for days where there's any questions about decreased movement!
I have no clue what our baby will look like. I have dark curly Brown hair and brown eyes. DH has Brown hair and brown eyes. BUT DH was born blonde and his youngest son has blonde hair (it's getting darker now) and blue eyes, and his daughter also has blue eyes (so does their mom but the recessive gene must be in there on his side) my dad and brother both have green eyes and my dad is a ginger. I'm wondering if I might pop out a redheaded blue eyed babe! It's more likely we will get a carbon copy of me though, especially since I am my mom's twin.
@bcashaw I read recently that many Caucasian babies come out with blond hair and blue eyes but after a while it turns into whatever their actual coloring will be.
@DuchessOfCambridge that's crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened with our little one. My hair turns very light in the summer and DH goes fully blonde when exposed to the sun. Eta: if my baby comes out with light eyes I really hope they stay that way though. I wore green color contacts for YEARS
Me: Light golden brown straight hair and half brown/half hazel eyes. SO: VERY curly (the curliest I've ever seen) dirty blonde hair and light blue eyes. DD1: Wavy dirty blonde hair and light blue eyes. Born with blonde hair. DD2: Light golden brown curly hair and dark blue eyes. Born with black hair with blonde streaks. DD1 and DD2 look way different overall. SO and I are complete opposites feature wise so this makes sense.
Needless to say, I have no idea what this baby will look like.
@DuchessOfCambridge myself and DD father are Caucasian, I have brown eyes he has blue, I'm dark blond and he's kind of strawberry blonde? DD was born with a full head of pitch black hair and blue eyes. Her hair went from black, to resist, to falling out and now it blonde with red undertones.
@MaximumEffort I've heard of that happening too! I didn't mean to imply that coming out lighter and going darker is the only option, I've just read that it's very very common for Caucasian children to be born with light hair and light eyes even if the parents aren't blond or blue eyed themselves. It's so crazy how it all works. I also think it's completely nuts that right now all of our babies have translucent skin. One day, that skin will get color and for whatever reason, the color it is will matter to the world. And then I get depressed, but now I've gone on a tangent.
@DuchessOfCambridge I was just saying how DD decided to beat the odds. She was also the first baby with hair in my family. I think light eyes is normal as well is African American babies coming out lighter. DD was jaundice but not to where she needed UV lights, just lots of nursing in front of natural light.
On the heartburn topic, I never had any with my first two and they both were born with a FULL head of hair. I've already had some heartburn this pregnancy so hopefully this child doesn't come out looking like a gorilla.
@BayCamp That's what happened to me... Ginger born and dulled to strawberry blonde. </3 I don't dye it, but every now and then I'll use a wash out glaze to liven it up again.

Stuck in a box. But this line killed me. What a world we live in
Has anyone been having rib cage pain? I've been having pains above my stomach area that are annoying but not really worrying me since they are not near baby. I wonder if it's my organs getting squished but seems like it might be a bit early for that?
@baby3forme what an awesome full head of hair! My babies have all been mostly bald with a little pale white hair and bright blue eyes:)
@DuchessOfCambridge I had that pain all through my 2nd and 3rd trimesters with my first baby. I think everything was just stretching out to make room. When people ask about traveling while pregnant, I always think of that discomfort. It made it so hard to sit in one spot that I didn't want to fly from about 20 weeks on, even for our typical 3.5 hour flight. Hope its temporary for you.
@MississippiCatfish at least it's happened to someone else before! It's pretty uncomfortable and I've had it for the last week. I only just realized it might be a pregnancy thing. I have a pretty small rib cage so I guess I'm not surprised but I also hope it stops soon.
@DuchessOfCambridge are you sure it's not heart burn? Heart burn to me sometimes travels to my sides and can seem like rib pain. Either ways it's normal. I get it if I eat something spicy or even over eat at night or something like that. However it it gets to be on one side or at a particular point in your rib cage you should tell your OB just to ensure it's not anything.
@ShePersisted I think it's rib pain because it feels much better when I lay down vs when I'm sitting up. Heartburn usually hurts me more when I lay down and feels like someone is squeezing my breastbone as hard as they can.
I came out with a head full of dark hair and stayed that way. My twin didn't have hair, so that throws the whole reflux theory out the window! DH had white blonde hair until he was older than 2 and now it's just as dark as mine. I have green hazel eyes and his are blue hazel. We have siblings with all eye / hair colors and textures, so we have no idea what will happen.

I've been having pain when turning over at night and it's much sharper than during the day. Not sure if this is because my muscles get comfortable in one place for a few hours but it's really annoying.
I'm thinking we'll be on the ginger train too. I'm strawberry blonde and DH is blonde but was red as a child. Will be fun to see what happens for everyone in November.
