@jackiesmom324@AMCsquared Ughhh I hate those nails too! I didn't even know they were called stiletto nails, I've just been refering to them as the hideous pointy nails.
If your kid can talk and walk it should not still use a pacifier.
Easier said than done. However, we finally got my 2 year old off of them, but only Bc she bit the tip off of her last one and she can't suck on it anymore. She still sleeps with the stuffed animal that was attached to the paci, though.

DD is 22 months. She's been off bets for a week and te been a damn miserable one. I have it back today for. So and it's been glorious!!!!
@dkizz82, I know that feeling! DS just quit using them one day when he was 6 months old. It was awesome. DD was attached to them like they were her soul. Like I mentioned, now that she bit off the tip she's at least not sucking on them, but she still loves to hold them and shove her fingers through the holes.
My first didn't use a pacifier and I was happy about it. My second never stopped crying and the pacifier saved us. She'll be 3 next month and just gave it up in March. I was prepared to send her to college with one if it kept her happy haha.

Lol, yep! We took the paci away during the day for my 2 yo DD and she only got it at naps and bedtime. It was like, incentive to go to bed. I couldn't imagine how or when I was going to want to have the bedtime fight so we're just lucky everything played out the way it did. (Of course she still needs her horse, her kitty, anywhere between 1 and 3 baby dolls, her giant bear, her blanket, her pillowcase - no pillow - and a book to actually decide it's night time...so I'm not sure we're really winning here )
My son had no interest whatsoever until he weaned (13 months.) He's currently obsessed and I don't see it changing any time soon. I care more about keeping him happy and calm than stressing over it.
Pacifiers: my first was just over two when we weaned him. He had to have three at night to sleep. One in his mouth and one in each hand. What we ended up doing was we took him to Build-a-Bear and he made a paci bear. We just stuffed all of his pacifiers in at the end before they sewed him up. It is actual Olaf from frozen and we called him Paci the Snowman. A year later and Gray still sleeps with him. It worked really well for us.
Btw: as long as you keep up with the correct size they are not detrimental to their teeth.
