Those of us that are a little behind the rest of the group need a thread too! How are you feeling? Appointments? Things left to do before baby comes? Symptoms/vents/issues? Comments:
How are you feeling? I feel like nesting is a myth at this point. There is no way I would have the energy to do some of the stuff people are doing. I don't even want to do the laundry I do every week.
Appointments? I have one on Wednesday
Things left to do before baby comes? We have to get some blackout curtains for baby's room and do minor things. If she came tomorrow we would be ready.... oh I should probably also finish work first. 2 more weeks of school!!!
Symptoms/vents/issues? I woke up with the worst hip pain last night. I had to get up and walk it off. It was terrible!
Comments: DH got his wisdom teeth taken out Friday which has made for an interesting weekend taking care of two "children." And apparently DH only being able to eat soft foods gave me permission to buy TONS of ice cream!!! Lol
How are you feeling? Tired, large, uncomfortable... But I do have the nesting going on this weekend. I've been cleaning non stop for 2 days. Appointments? Weekly appointments every Wednesday from now until she comes! Things left to do before baby comes? Nothing really. We are meeting with our doula on the 6th and I have an eyebrow wax and oil change on the 5th. Little things like that. Everything directly baby related is done! Symptoms/vents/issues? Every little thing/symptom that is new or different I think is labor! It's driving me crazy. I'm also driving DH crazy haha. I need to find stuff to do for the last few weeks otherwise I'm going to go insane. Comments: Last week of work this week! I have the girls on Tuesday and I'm so sad it's my last day with them!! Then I have the twins Thurs and Fri. In-laws will be here for a few days this week but I'm working mostly so I will only see them for dinner on Thursday.
How are you feeling? Tired! DD's 2 year molars are bulging, and she screamed when I put her to bed last night. She was up until almost 930 (bedtime is 730). On the upside, I got lots of snuggles from my wiggler.
Appointments? I have my 36 week home visit on Friday.
Things left to do before baby comes? I need to do some serious cleaning. I've had more complications than last time, and am finally feeling a little better so have a lot of cleaning to catch up on. I wish I would start nesting.
Symptoms/vents/issues? Swelling is a little worse with the heat lately. BH seem stronger and more frequent.
Comments: I'm torn between hoping baby comes a little early so my varicose vein will stop getting worse, and hoping she comes right "on time" so that my mom will be here and I will have someone to watch DD.
Those of us that are a little behind the rest of the group need a thread too! Great thinking for us late June-ers!
How are you feeling? Pretty good, sometimes I over do it a bit then pay for it the next day by getting sore everywhere. But overall pretty good!
Appointments? Wednesday for GBS test and weekly checkup.
Things left to do before baby comes? Find a pediatrician and put my birth plan on paper instead of just in my head (anyone have any plan checklists/forms they recommend?).
Symptoms/vents/issues? I don't think I've had any BH...maybe a small handful over a couple of weeks but I'm not really sure. Pretty much I just feel normal except I'm tired & have to see all the time and I'm extra emotional (Feel like I'm acting like that one friend that loves everyone and everything to excess even they're drunk). I keep wondering if at 36 weeks I should be feeling a bit more "ready to go"?
Comments: I've been a bit of a sporadic poster on here, mostly I participated in the PGAL weekly check-ins when they were happening. So for those of you who don't know me from there, hello! I'm so excited to be here and at 36 weeks! Still can't believe that in a few weeks I could finally be holding my own little sweet pea!
How are you feeling? Overall pretty good Appointments? Growth scan (probably my last one) and OB (the first of my weekly appts) on Wednesday. Things left to do before baby comes? Not much - just hang stuff in the nursery Symptoms/vents/issues? Carpal Tunnel has set in for the last week and it's really bothersome Comments: t-minus 19 days of work left!
How are you feeling? This seems to go in a moment by moment thing. I will feel great and then something will start hurting out of nowhere. Appointments? I have an NST and OB appointment on Thursday and a MFM appointment Friday. Things left to do before baby comes? Get swing out of the basement and clean it, put breast pump all set up in living room (I replaced all the parts already), bug company about getting me my new breast pump (faxed my info last week and heard nothing), put bassinet in our room. Symptoms/vents/issues? I feel like a ticking time bomb. They said we are going to take it appointment by appointment. I want to at least make it through this and next week and then school is over so less to have to worry about. I also go the other way because I want him out so they can do all the tests and figure out exactly why he has enlarged kidneys and fluid swelling the ventricles of his brain. I need answers! Comments:
How are you feeling? Very, very large and pregnant and OVER it! Although I'd like to go the full 40 weeks this time or close to it (went at 38w4d with DS) Appointments? Next one is on Monday for regular prenatal and GBS swab. Things left to do before baby comes? Everything! Pack DH's and my hospital bags. Finalize a plan for DS when I have to go to the hospital. Put LO's car seat in my car. Wash LO's clothes and have DH assemble the PnP and baby swing. Symptoms/vents/issues? Holy sciatica! and only on the right side. My belly is so huge and stretched out it is unbelievable. I've been getting mild headaches more days than not and I've been gagging while brushing my teeth in the mornings like back during the 1st tri. Comments: @alm52386 I just hope LO isn't on her way just yet though as the old wives' tales say will happen when you nest! @teacher_mom I am totally with you on things hurting out of nowhere; I usually feel good first thing in the morning and by the end of the day I'm falling apart! @graceriesz my maternity leave starts on June 12th and I am wondering how I'm going to make it! Thinking of you @shmarpler and the 2-year molars! It's interesting how all you hear about is the regular teething, no one says much about the molars which are a ton worse!
How are you feeling? Huge and sick of people commenting on how big I am or that I shouldn't walk so far or carry so much, etc. I'm pregnant, not incapable of activities of daily living. Also, cranky! Appointments? Had one today and have another u/s next week to check size and position. My last was breech and had low fluid, so with hopes of a vbac, I get to see baby one more time before delivery! Things left to do before baby comes? I have a cleaning service coming next week (Mom's Day gift,) I need to get my oil changed, car seat installed, Pack n Play set up in master bedroom, and my son has Super Sibling class at the hospital in 2 weeks so I'd like to get there before this one arrives! Symptoms/vents/issues? So many jabs to my rib cage. Also just a lot of heaviness down below, in my hips, vag, lower gut, etc. BH are much crampier these days but nothing timeable or instensifying. Comments: Torn between ready to meet baby/not be pregnant and wanting baby to cook until his due date plus work until then - I have an out of town wedding in Sept that I'd like to still be on leave for! First world problem, for sure!
Hi 36-weekers!! I've never really posted before but was so happy to see a 36-week thread since that's where I'm at! How are you feeling? Very huge and uncomfortable at this point. Appointments? Monday I go in for my first weekly appt. And we get to have an u/s! Things left to do before baby comes? Set up pack n play. Wash and organize baby girl's clothes. Call our pediatrician. Pre-register at the hospital. Get gift for our son from his new baby sister. Symptoms/vents/issues? My inner thighs have a pain like you wouldn't believe. It hurts to turn over in bed and after sitting or lying for a while, it takes me a minute to straighten up and walk! BH are becoming more frequent. Starting to feel those jabbing pains in my pelvis area, too. Comments: Is it normal to be so anxious? I'm excited of course, but I feel like I get myself worked up over every little thing these days! Everyone around me just seems to be bugging me lately. Haha pregnancy hormones are raging for sure!
Uhhh so maybe I shouldn't have put the "things to do before baby" question in there because y'all are making me realize I have more to do than finish work and get blackout curtains!!! @mezalune I have a sibling class for #1 too and I should maybe install the carseat (though we live like 2 seconds from the hospital so that could be done last min)... oh and I have to drop off the preregisteration forms at the hospital! Lol
How are you feeling? Mostly good. Very happy I decided to take a new PPI heartburn medication because the acid reflux that he plagued me since literally week 5 is finally gone! I had some discomfort yesterday in one particular spot that felt like it was stretching whenever I bent over at all, but that seems to be fine now.
Appointments? Had my GBS swab on Monday, will get results next week.
Things left to do before baby comes? I think the major one is meet our new doula! We'd had a few appointments with our original already, and had hired her way back before Christmas even so I'm feeling way, way behind schedule now that we've unexpectedly been forced to change.
Also: -finish unpacking from the move 2 months ago... -one last side-business market sale on Saturday -install car seat -pack DH's hospital bag -finish packing my hospital bag (95% done at least) -actually do perineum massage instead of just talking about it
Symptoms/vents/issues? I'm actually a pretty happy camper with this acid reflux being gone. Obviously I'm a little more tired, and sore and insomnia is a thing, but as of right now I'm fine with baby staying in for as long as they want.
Comments: All these early babies are making me feel like I should expect labour any second, even though I know it's not likely (though still possible). I'm slightly anxious about baby coming before we're ready/before I even get to meet our doula but also know realistically that it doesn't really matter in the long run. Also nervous about meeting a new doula since DH has had so many issues with our previous doula/midwives. We had finally gotten to a point where appointments were pleasant instead of becoming arguments as soon as we left. He seems to be taking both the midwife change and the doula change as sort of a "well, that's our kind of luck, so of course it happened" kind of a semi-amusing thing instead of being super angry, so I'm hoping that's a good sign that his anxiety is starting to improve.

@kitty21436, PGAL brain is awful. I introed as soon as I got a positive test, but then I got scared and disappeared for several months.
