My UO: I don't like rustic, farmhouse, barn style ANYTHING. Barn weddings and farmhouse decor are all the rage, but BLECH. I'm not a cow. I don't live or work in a barn. So why would I want my house or my wedding to look like one?
A woman after my own heart... And I live in Texas. I HATE anything rustic. I think it's tacky and oversized.
Our little Red Raider is here and another is on its way!
@scatteringashes i think my uo is more parents not telling kids what the words are and using the nicknames. As long as it's not hidden or a "naughty" word i'm good. I seem to be hyper sensitive to how women are spoken about and what words mean.....but that's another uo
@MeggsM Oh, I feel you on the way women get spoken to. Women's issues, or things perceived as women's things, are often infantalizing to treat women like they can't think and act for themselves. And a lot of times by other women! Drives me up the wall.
@ryannenikole DH and I returned half of the things people got us for DS to help him sit or stand early. A pack and play, travel pack and play, Rockaroo ((swing with a tiny footprint)), mini crib in place of bassinet and a regular crib, and a stroller and car seats. #noregrets
My SIL owns every baby device known to man, especially if you can prop the kid in it. To each their own, but I don't get it. Lol.
