  Hopefully if there are any others they chime in, but I was lurking November and someone posted this same question, and at least one other mom responded that she was single too. If nothing else, you could maybe PM those ladies? I'm sure they'd be happy to talk with you, even though they're a bit further along.
  
  But of course, you have the whole December board for support too, myself included!

  Not a single mom, but my husband will be gone most of our pregnancy and first yr (military), so I feel you! I actually broke down yesterday crying to him because I didnt know how I was going to do this all by myself.

  I've been a single mom for most of my 12 yr old DS's life. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and no longer single. Single motherhood is very challenging, yet very rewarding. I have had a positive experience being a single mom. And if I'm honestly with myself, I really wouldn't change a thing about raising my DS in a single parent home.   I was a single mom with my first and now with my second I have an awesome partner. But I went through pregnancy and the first year as a single parent. If you ever need to talk or any questions. Let me know

  I'm in a similar situation to @miltbaby, my DH is deployed and will be gone for most of the next year so I'm single parenting my 18 month old for the time being (and figuring out how I'm going to handle a 2 yr old and newborn alone). I know it's not the same thing, but there are a lot of similarities. It's tough to not have a partner around, but we ladies are very adaptable and you will do great!!
