not pregnancy related but more IF related.....DH got a BIG bill yesterday for almost $800 from our IVF center for sperm storage....turns out the $300 we paid upfront for his "just in case" sample doesn't cover everything. the $800 is for this coming years storage of the little guys. This was never explained to us but I called and we just need to sign a "trash em consent" and get it in by the end of the month and we will only pay for the month which is $65. I guess i just assumed the fact that i was pregnant would mean things are on hold for us IVF wise and someone would contact us if they needed to???
Those IF centers seem to like surprise bills @rmarble23. Ours tried to charge us 3 times for the exact same bill that we had already paid. I'm glad we kept records that we had paid it so we could prove it. My random comment is about my growth scan that I had yesterday. Apparently this baby is already 7 lbs or more! I hope she isn't 9 lbs when I give birth! Trying not to worry about it because it is only an estimate, but I'll see what my doctor says at my regular appt today.

Not sure if anyone is interested but lilliebaby is having a trade in event through the end of the month. If you trade in a soft structured carrier(the ones with buckles) to them they will give you a 40% off coupon towards any carrier(even their last chance carriers on sale). I believe it's only open to US residents at this time. My SIL gave us a carrier and we opted to trade it in for the coupon as it didn't provide enough back support for me or my husband. It cost me $7 to ship the carrier in but in the end I will only pay around $56 (in hopes I can score one of the last chance carriers) for a normally $125 carrier. I registered for one at babies r us but I definitely don't expect anyone to purchase such an item for us. I hope this may be useful to someone!
@ARB425 oh that's awesome thanks!! I have a boba and loved it for my daughter but was eyeing up the lilliebaby since it works for newborns. Will definitely do that!
@kdanjou those estimates are all over the map, I kind of wish they wouldn't do them! With my daughter it was "your baby is measuring way ahead!" from 20 weeks on. My OB said "she'll come out one way or another stop worrying" ha. She was 8lbs 11oz and while bigger for my frame, she came out no problem.
Thanks for the reassurances. My doctor didn't seem worried. I have been measuring about a week ahead. I'm hoping it just means I'll go into labor a week early!

Wanted to post my MUST HAVES for baby. We had a baby boy on April 24th, and I couldn't have survived without the following:
- Boppy nursing pillow (breastfed or bottle fed) - Boppy newborn lounger... awesome place for baby to sleep during the day. We also use for tummy time. Lawson loves laying on it and gazing out our windows. Note: requires supervision at all times. - Baby K'tan baby carrier. Wear baby while getting stuff done around the house! Don't be a slave to the couch. - Swaddle Me easy Velcro swaddles. So so so awesome, especially for active babies. L kept breaking out of our swaddle attempts... But can't break out of the Velcro ones!! You will also be thankful for an easy swaddler at 3am. Sm/m size is perfect for newborn. - Baby sun hat. Crucial for summer. Putting cover on stroller causes temp to rise inside the stroller... even the muslin covers were shown to raise temp by at least 4 degrees. Keep baby's face in shade while allowing for summer breezes to pass through with a sun hat! L loves looking around during our walks now that he's not covered up. - Baby bouncer for bathroom. If you want to take a shower while hubby is away, you need something in the bathroom to set baby in. L loves his bouncer. I set him in it right outside the shower so I can constantly open shower door to see how he's doing. Really helpful for all bathroom related tasks. Sure you could set him in crib, but I like him to be near me during the day.
