Leadership at my office really annoyed me today. We have our annual survey where we rate our manager, how we like the company, how happy we are etc - so what do they do? They buy us breakfast so "our bellies are full and happy" while we complete this survey. You think one bribe is going to magically make unhappy people happy enough to give good surveys?

MIL today... UGH!!! I wanted to get out of our house because I'm tired of packing and I'm tripping over boxes, so we went to for lunch and coffee. She sure made a big deal out of the fact that I was having a small latte. Excuse me? I have strictly drank decaf for the last 12 weeks. I move in 2 days. Aside from maybe six boxes that my husband has packed, I've packed our entire home while caring for my toddler. IF MAMA WANTS A LATTE, MAMA GETS A LATTE!
@vvitchhazel drink that latte. Move stress or not, baby will be okay with a little decaf.
@holzie-2 my school does the same thing before our spring survey. They send out an email to remind us of all the nice things from the year and bribg around a snack cart. No one is fooled.
Mine is my MIL too! We told them about the pregnancy yesterday and she was thrilled and excited. But, then she said something about how at least I didn't spend time trying to lose dd baby weight only to get pregnant again. Ugh. Thanks for the reminder?
So my FIL fall on different sides of the political spectrum, but I am always kind and really just keep my mouth shut. When my DH told his dad, one of the first things he said was well I hope you raise the child to have an open mind because we know your wife won't allow that....WTF....thankfully my DH was like we will both raise our child to think critically to form his/her own opinion.
My complaint is about my mom, whom I love dearly. I called her on Monday to tell her about my appt (after she reminded me like 20 times to call her) and then she couldn't talk because she had company. She calls back later and after asking how it went I tell her how positive everything went and how the doc thinks that now we're at 12 weeks, the chances of me losing this one are very low. She responds with 'But we still need to pray because it could still happen.' Really Mom? You need to remind me that when I've had 2 miscarriages already? I think I'm aware that crap happens. Let me have 30 seconds of happiness, please?
My TW is ALL people who find the need to ask if this baby was planned. Why is it anyone's business? I think those people WANT to hear of an unplanned pregnancy because it makes their lives seem a little more predictable and "on track." Yes, this baby was planned. Yes, I will have had 3 children in 3 years +3 months. Maybe we're idiots but our pro/con list made us think otherwise. On the same note: It irritates me when people lie about their unplanned pregnancies. Just own it. One gf of mine has sworn for years that her Irish twins were planned. For real though, you wanted to have 2 children 10 months apart? Get outta here.
@lestex My SIL tells everyone they tried for a year before their first. Uh, they were together for 5 months when she got knocked up. Nobody's falling for your dumb lies, because math.

@lestex I love that you made a pro-con list and anyone who asks can cram it, that's rude. FFC? I may have lied and said this one was an oops because for the last 4 years I've been screaming from the roof tops "one and done!" welp, baby fever caught me, oh well we're incredibly happy.

A girl I let borrow all my baby gear for her kiddo said she was done with it over a year ago, still hasn't brought it back. She asked me to make her a shirt for her kiddo's birthday coming up, so I asked if she could bring back my stuff. She tells me that she can't fit it in her car, umm I loaded it all in your car 2 years go? And that we can pick it up at the birthday party in a couple weeks... IDK this has me all frazzled, I think she sold it.
@Kirss- I am a total planner. Lists are always necessary. I have tons of friends who said they were one and done and are now working on #2. Whoa on your friend who borrowed your stuff! Hopefully you get it back soon. AND I especially hope she has it all and it's not damaged. I hate getting something back and it's messed up.
@lestex I love planning and lists! My coworker makes fun of me because I make my shopping list in excel, then organize it by department/aisle. Whatever, I get in and out!
