  I am pretty sure once they gain their birth weight you can let them sleep.

  Our pedi says to let her sleep but no more than 6 hours, so we wake her.  I know what you mean, though ... it is almost painful to have to wake her.

  If she has regained her birth weight there is no reason to wake her.

  Ooh, I can't wait for that.  DD usually sleeps like the dead but she is gaining weight slowly so we usually have to wake her up to feed her.
