Not much tonight but I do hope to get some BD in this evening

I have a wedding I'm playing Saturday night about 45 minutes out of town. DH and DD are going to come with me and we were planning on eating dinner out there.

I also have a wedding I'm playing Sunday downtown and DH is shooting the photos.

My mother is coming into town this afternoon, so I'm kind of excited about that. We bought DD a toddler bed last weekend, so she wants to re-decorate DD's room this weekend. More power to ya ma.

DH and I are planning to get some work done in the flower beds tomorrow if the weather will hold out, and then we'll hang out with my brother, SIL and nieces tomorrow night I'm sure. Sunday is Sundae Sunday at our church, so then there's that. Then of course there's the never-ending laundry and house cleaning.

Pretty full weekend, but I like it. It makes me feel all accomplished by Sunday evening.

Its going to be HOT here this weekend. Taking girls to swim this afternoon/evening - DH is going to a baseball game.
Tomorrow my older daughter has a practice recital at a local church festival so I'm taking her to that. DH has to go to a law school graduation so girls and I may hit farmer's market in the morning or buy some herbs to plant in our garden.

Sunday I need to work. have to miss a lot of work next work for daughter's surgery so need to get prepared. Festival at our church on sunday so girls and husband will go to that.

Not a whole lot of plans for us this weekend which is unusual. I want to clean out patio stones this weekend and possibly re-sand the joints. We just moved in this past fall and I don't think it's been maintained for years. I also want to get some flower beds ready to plant in a few weeks. We also will need to mulch but I'm going to wait until we plant.

I dont know if the weather weather will hold out for us so it's a possibility that we might just drink coffee/tea and lounge about reading and doing some inside chores.

DS and I traveled to MI for my nieces baby shower. We will be here until Sunday. Not super excited as ya all know this was an oops so it stresses me out but I'm trying to move forward.

@MooFish2364 Sounds so relaxing. Enjoy. I don't remember the last time I had an iced coffee. May need to treat myself.

DH has the weekend off which is excellent. We only get about 1 in 6 weekends together since his schedule rotates. We have a massive amount of yard work. This Monday is the last week of yard waste collection in my town!!!

ILs are coming over for dinner on Sunday. I'm going to do instant pot baby back ribs, corn bread, potato salad and probably another side. Need to think of a dessert. Maybe peach cobbler. Suggestions welcome : )

Would love to go to dim sum sometime this weekend and hit up the outlets. I doubt we are going to get to do everything.

FW should start soon. Just got negatives on OPKs though.

Tomorrow is the last tball game followed by a party but all of it takes place right in the middle of ds's nap time so dh might be going alone. Oh well.

I have 5 dresses to hem for a coworker, so I'll try to get them done this weekend.

And of course, a mountain of laundry. I swear, I don't know how 3 people can produce so much dirty laundry!!

And HOW have you managed to never dye your hair @SP128 and @pumpkin0913??? I wish I never had when I was younger, but now I definitely have to to cover the gray

yeah I got my first gray hair when I was 25. I'd say it's gotten worse since my mid 30s and I had to start dying it a year ago. I only get it done every 6 months because I'm cheap. I pretty much have black hair. dang genetics!

I started highlighting my hair when I was in mid 20s. I'm blonde and it started getting darker so I wanted to brighten it. Still do it but only like 3 times a year

@SP128 and @pumpkin0913 Keep it natural! It's such a pain and expensive habit to dye.

I have tons of grays buy I dye. I think I am going pastel teal this next time. Summer hair, don't care.

@justsuzie - I also love your pink and want to see the teal! My daughter is six and she always tells strangers with colorful hair how much she LOVES their hair

I had a tough evening. Took my girls to the pool and it was pretty crowded tonight. it was good, but really hard because there were families with babies they didn't have last year and pregnant women. I had been in a smooth patch where I didn't have dates on the calendar that I had planned as being "x weeks pregnant" but now I'm hitting of bunch of dates where I did/do and it is impossibly hard.

@tlq0726 here are some reasons I never dyed my hair. When I was a teenager I would've be loved highlights. However I knew enough to ask my mother because the answer was always "no". When I was in college and grad school I was POOR. Now I don't dye because I don't want to maintain it. Not as poor but CHEAP and lazy. I know I'll dye when the greys come out. Now I'm fortunate enough that it is just a strand or two.

@ladipale so many hugs to you. It's so hard when there are reminders everywhere. It feels to me that everybody's life moves on and I'm stuck

@ladipale Sorry for the rough evening last night. I totally get what you mean. So sorry. A women I work with is coming back from maternity leave next week and I am dreading it. I have tried not thinking how pregnant I would be but it's hard, especially on Wednesdays when I had a weekly sonogram. Ugh. Hugs.

@tlq0726 I'm super new to sewing, MH's great aunt left me her sewing machine and cabinet when she passed. The matching is from like the 80's, I'd love to get a nice new one, but I like the idea of using the one she sewed on. I agree with @Chawk17 about YouTube. Also pinterest has a lot of tutorials with great advice.

I feel your pain @ladipale & @justsuzie. It seems everywhere you go there are pregnant women or women with newborns just rubbing it in your face.

@Chawk17 & @pumpkin0913 I'm really looking forward to this summer when I'll have time to practice. I'm keeping DD in day care part time so she can keep a routine, so hopefully I'll get some practice time in while she's out of the house.

@pumpkin0913 I just started sewing too! Here is a quilt I made

The sloth is a batik that I painted with gel glue on unbleached cotton and painted with acrylic ink. I also sewed a "crazy quilt" with all the kids in my school. I am addicted now!!!
