It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
We announced on social media today and also added, "We planned 3, but we couldn't see... that God's plan was 4, so we're having one more!" very cheesy but effective!
I'm going to order a Dairy Queen ice cream cake to get delivered to my parents house and have them open it over skype. My parents know already but my siblings don't so I'm going to write "Best Aunties and Uncles Ever!" And let them figure it out while I'm watching. I live in New Zealand and my family is in the state's so it has to be a long distance announcement.

I deleted it . The comment was in response to hers and almost entirely on the point of not being allowed to experience this in a positive way because of others sensativities . Dispite a long time of having to just put up with people's comments judgement and insensitivity myself. I removed the entire comment as without the context it doesn't really have a place in this thread . (Not in a passive aggressive way) Who else here loves irony
Assuming all goes well at my 12 week appt on Friday, I'll take a picture of DS holding the "oldest" sign and DD holding the "middle" sign and post to Facebook.
Just posted these pictures today! Our family has known for over a month since they were making travel arrangements for over Thanksgiving and we won't be traveling with a due date on the 25th my little man is Always dressed as a superhero so felt this was very fitting for him. We will be at 12 weeks on Saturday but I wanted to announce a little separate from mother's day. I also made sure to tell my friends and family struggling with infertility privately. I'm just so glad everyone so far has been super supportive!
We announced the gender to our kids last night, the moment was everything I hoped it would be. DH, the kids, and I are all big geeks and on Tuesdays we have "Taco Tuesday" dinner night and we play some sort of game during dinner-usually trivia. So, last night we played a board game version of "are you smarter than a 5th grader and for the last question of the game, my husband asked me "Are the kids going to get a baby brother or a baby sister?" And I when I told them, DS1, DS2, and step-DS were all disappointed (don't feel too bad for them, they just added another baby boy to their crew last year)! But my step-DD was beyond excited! She just kept saying "I'm getting a baby sister?!?!" And then she burst out crying and couldn't stop crying for about 5 minutes because she was so happy! We also FaceTimed with my inlaws, who were not impressed that we were having another baby, and let the kids tell them we are having a girl and my MIL was so excited that she screamed and dropped the phone. Lol My DS1 asked me to wait to tell my friends, so he could tell his friends at school today, first, so we'll announce it to the rest of the world Wednesday night. I still cry every time I think about having a girl.
DH posted a cute photo of the kids and I and kinda added at the end of the post that #4 will be joining us in Nov. it was cute and a nbd type thing which I liked. I didn't even know he wanted to announce until I got the FB notification.
I plan on getting DD1 and DD2 matching "Big Sister" shirts and have DD1 hold (without covering her shirt) a girl/boy specific onesie. Pretty sure this is what I'll do but who knows.
We announced early, between 9 and 10 weeks. We had had our second scan showing the heartbeat and were just too excited. Plus people were starting to wonder about all my excuses! We are big geeks so here was ours!
@irishfrisky love love love it! DH is not a HP fan so I can't get away with those types of things but I do wish I could. I'm still considering doing the nursery HP while he is at work one day lol
Here's what we gave MIL to tell DH's family on Mother's Day. She read the entire thing to herself without realizing, or at least without letting on. I'll share the FB one later. It was way better!

this is what we did- for mothers day to announce to family (14w+5d) -we won't be announcing it on a wider net but are also not restricting the news so friends and family will find out as it naturally filters through . defiantly not putting it up on fb, all my immediate family were there so they all found out together , grandma first and others cottoned on but said nothing till she shared with pa who is just smitten , this is their 6th grandchild
after breakfast at my brothers we went to lunch at my inlaws where it was just the two of them and us , nanny got the same mothers day gift and they were soo happy , hubbies siblings had been over the day before but we were 2 hours away at open houses so we didn't see them , his sister was told (we said if they talk to them they can share the news we don't mind) and sent a very excited text to hubby that night but haven't heard from his brother so they probably don't know yet
key ring is for sets of spare keys to our house (when we get one, hopefully soon we nearly had one but missed out ) its sterling silver and laser engraved with the babies heartbeat
I kept forgetting to post this, we used these 2 pictures to announce on FB. Our photographer didn't really get a "perfect" one... in fact I was so angry at ds1 when she sent them because he was making awful faces in every one except these two. And ds2's rolling eyes I just said was perfect for his "middle child attitude". Sometimes you just gotta work with what you have! Lol!
We haven't made a public announcement yet, but I have talked to each of my infertility friends personally (met w/ tears of sweet joy and sadness that I so understand). For our closest friends, I texted them a picture with our six-year-old in a big brother shirt w/a onesie. We waited to tell him until 13 weeks because of the high chance of miscarriage with PCOS and all of the other issues we've had; when we finally tell the world, I will use the video telling my son because I couldn't ask for a better, more excited big brother
I finally posted this on Facebook last night. I was wanting to take better pictures with me, my fiance and my son but I'm always working so I figured this would have to do.
