Boy Name help!

i need help/opinions on our new baby boy name! 

For background my husbands name is Alan after French actor Alain. She we named our daughter Alaina as a name sake, plus we loved it. 

Now, we are having a baby boy, and we want to name our baby boy Kaden. 

Do do you like the spelling of Kayden or Kaden better? Middle name is James. Reason being my name is Kayla, so it's also somewhat of a name play since the first sound is "Kay." I fear the "y" looks too feminine. Thoughts? 

Im still not sold on the name. I love B boy names, but our last name starts with a B and is only two syllabals, so it sounds weird to me. I love Blake, Brendon, Brian...names like that. Hubby is set on Kaden.

    I prefer James. Kaden & Kayden are very trendy right now, just like any other -Aden name. They've got 2017 stamped on them. Now that doesn't necessarily have to be a problem, but is important to be aware of. Y's aren't exclusively for girls: Kayden isn't girly at all. But what's most important is that you're not sold on it. You name a baby together, so if you're not convinced, your husband has to reconsider as well. If you like to use your name in his name, another option would be Kai as a mn.

    I don't like Kayden/Kaden. I do like the idea of naming him in honor of you, but damn does English just does not do K names. How do you feel about Kelvin?

    James Kay could also be an option.

    I think Kaden or Kayden would be fine as long as you're happy with them.

    If you aren't, here are two other names with a "Kay" sound at the beginning, and their meanings, to throw into the mix:

    Kagan- king, ruler
    Kaleb- whole heart

    I would keep looking. Kaden lumps in with all of the Aidan/Jayden/Braden/Hayden names. There are so many, and they they're so popular/overdone. You can find better.
