Re: Monday Ticker Change 5/15

  • How far along are you? 25 weeks

How big is baby? Head of cauliflower

Upcoming appointments this week? Nothing until June 1st

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Nothing! I'm boring this week, but I'll take boring over having issues anytime!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: enjoying this second trimester lull as long as I can! I got the smaller Boppy pregnancy support pillow that looks like a kidney bean and it's really helped my knee and hip pain when I wake up in the am.

GTKY:  Do you have a written birth plan? What is a "must-have" in your plan? No written birth plan. Whatever is best for the baby at the time is what I will go with. I trust the judgement of my drs and the nurses.

How big is baby? Two bunches of kale

Upcoming appointments this week? We have a growth scan with the MFM Thursday.  Appointment with the midwife last week was fine.  Both heartbeats perfect, and I'm measuring 31 weeks now!  I did lose the two pounds that I had gained so we're back to me trying to eat everything in sight.

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? The fatigue is real, man.  Also just feeling pain by the end of the day.  They told me to expect third trimester pain and fatigue earlier with twins.  Well, I guess it's here.  I have been craving froyo and cereal.  Together.

Rants/Raves/Questions?  I am so enjoying our childbirth classes at the hospital.  I'm so happy that we chose the hospital and doctors we did because it just seems like it's going to be the best possible experience.

GTKY:  Do you have a written birth plan? What is a "must-have" in your plan?  With twins, we're encouraged to have a very loose birth plan since a lot of decisions are made for you based on position/condition of the babies.  So no must-haves other than getting them both here safely.  If we are able to attempt a vaginal birth, we want to have the tub available for early labor, and wait for the epidural until I've progressed a bit.  We'll see how things go.

How big is baby? Bunch of bananas

Upcoming appointments this week?  Next week! But I have to go to the lab and do my glucose before that

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?  FRUIT SMOOTHIES

Rants/Raves/Questions?  DH got sick of how many smoothies I wanted this weekend haha so I started making full blenders for myself :)

Rave: DH is going to be home for a whole month straight! He hasn't been home for this long at one time since last spring! Woooo!

GTKY:  Do you have a written birth plan? What is a "must-have" in your plan?  No written plan! Like @szwill86 I'm going to trust my medical team. But like @SarahBethBR I would prefer a vaginal birth and I'm going to try to go without an epidural but essentially I'm going to go with the flow and see what happens!

  • How far along are you? 27w + 2days (a little late posting)

How big is baby? The size of a fennec fox (minus the tail :))

Upcoming appointments this week? Next appointment isn't until May 30, but I have to do the Glucose test on Friday  :s

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? Symptoms - no, changes - just getting more round, cravings - could've killed for a pizza yesterday, thankfully DH is always for pizza, so he went and grabbed one. Should probably mention, I already had dinner in the crockpot lol, so thats for dinner tonight.  :D

Rants/Raves/Questions?  Getting really nervous about the birth. My mom wants to be in the room with me, and I understand, she was there for almost all of her other grandchildren. I'm just more private than my sisters and sisters-in-law, so I'm a little uncomfortable with it, but I hate to tell her no. She is super excited, but honestly, I barely want DH in the room lol. I may have a problem with being a little too private...

GTKY:  Do you have a written birth plan? What is a "must-have" in your plan? I don't have a birth plan yet, I should probably get on that. I know I want an epidural, and I know the hospital I'm having it in, and obviously my doctor lol. I'm quite the procrastinator, so I should really get my butt in gear and start working on it.
