1) how far along are you? EDD? 20w6

2) any appointments this week? No appointments until the 26th. I did fall over th weekend and went to the er to get checked out. Baby is good. But my doctor may want to see me sooner bc of it.

3) how are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes? Really tired. I think it may be time to take a vacation. I haven't taken more than a day off since November. Heartburn and hip pain remain. I did get a snoogle yesterday and slept pretty good last night.

GTKY: no big plans for Mother's Day. My step kids and I have been watching tv. We might figure out a project to make something for their mom.

Nothing scheduled this week; fingers crossed I make it to my next scheduled appointment (6/9) without any unexpected trips to the dr.

Tuesday morning when I woke up I had some red bleeding. This was after having some minor brown spotting last week. I called the after hours line for my OB's office and the doctor on call told me to go into the hospital to get checked out. I was really lucky that my OB happened to be on a hospital shift at the time I came in, so I actually got to see her and have her decide how to deal with everything. After an exam showed I was no longer actively bleeding and my cervix was closed, they sent me for an ultrasound. My cervical length had not changed at all since my last ultrasound, so fortunately there was no indication of preterm labor. It seems that the low lying placenta is causing these bleeding episodes. My doctor now wants me to work at home full time to minimize the chance of additional bleeding. I'm really happy that the baby continues to be very healthy and my cervical length is remaining stable, but these episodes are still really scary. I went back to the dr on Thursday for another ultrasound and OB check-in and my cervical length is continuing to increase and my placenta seems to be close from moving away from the cervix. My dr was really happy with the latest ultrasound and told me I don't have to come back for 4 weeks unless I have any additional bleeding.

GTKY: What are your plans for this Mother's Day? Any big plans for next year?

My husband and I are hosting dinner at our house for my family. Nothing in particular planned for next year yet!

@rhubarb7216 glad your last ultrasound should good results. Sorry you had the bleeding I am sure that was really scary

@Hopefulmommy1980 I get bad heartburn/reflux after eating basically anything and have found that an empire apple in particular after eating helps suppress it a lot! Maybe try that?

@Rhubarb7216 What a scary situation with the bleeding. Happy to hear your ultrasound/exam looked great. Hopefully there's no other episodes like this for you, and smooth sailing ahead!

I have been sleeping fairy well, but last night it felt like I was awake all night long. My back is killing and my left hip - that I sleep on almost all night - feels terrible.

GTKY: What are your plans for this Mother's Day? Any big plans for next year?
We had a very low key Mother's Day this year. My kids made me some crafts, but DH usually plans really nice things for me. His mom just passed away April 30, so he's been a little out of it.

3) how are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes?
i went running on Friday and felt fine while I was running, but later that day and the next morning I had so much pelvic pain that I could barely move. I'm hoping it was just a one time thing, as I'm not ready to give up running yet.

GTKY: What are your plans for this Mother's Day? Any big plans for next year?
It was a low key day due to crummy weather. We did go out to lunch and get ice cream. Any day that includes ice cream is a pretty good day.

@Hopefulmommy1980 I had awful heartburn my first two pregnancies. My midwife ok'd Zantac twice a day. If I ever missed a dose, I knew right away because it was unbearable.

@Rhubarb7216 hopefully some rest helps the bleeding to go away for good!

@daisy62103 Sorry about the hip pain at night that sucks. I got a new pregnancy pillow and it has helped alot. i still have some pain, but it is way less.

@mamaofthegarden I am impressed that you are running. Sorry you had so much pain afterward, hopefully it will get better. Thanks for the suggestion on Zantac.

1) how far along are you? 21 weeks
EDD? 9/27

2) any appointments this week? nope none until week 24

3) how are you feeling? Still feeling less than great...headaches, heartburn, morning gagging, food sensitivity, super tired...

Any raves, concerns, or gripes? I am trying to avoid coming down with a full blown crud...I have had a slight sore throat the last few days but hoping it all just fades away.

Husband has fallen in love with a first name (that I am ok with) so we are sorta maybe getting that settled but still working on a middle name.

We have been getting some awesome hand me downs from my friends that have kids a bunch older than us. In the goods we got a car seat and 2 bases which I was super excited about until I realized the expire right before our baby comes (or shortly after). So back to buying a car seat etc.

If you are getting items from friends or family that are hand me downs...if any of the items you already have or don't need or are the wrong season (clothing) are you passing those onto others in need or are you returning them to their original giver?

GTKY: What are your plans for this Mother's Day? Any big plans for next year? We spent Mother's day at my nieces baptism. It was a good day full of family and fun.
