Rave: I successfully tranfered my sleeping son from truck to bed today and feel like I deserve a good star!
GTKY: What have you done already to get ready for baby?
We've got the nursery painted and half decorated. I pulled out the bin of clothes from when DS was a newb, but need to wash them all and then just put in the dresser. I have some more decorating to do but am not all that worried about it (yet)

Upcoming appointments this week? Thursday is my BPP day. Yay for twice weekly appointments until the end....
Any new symptoms or changes? it would be awesome if he would drop like now and now be shoving his butt and feets up andwoth it all remaining organs into my ribs. Breathing has not been fun today. But conversely his head it still directly on my cervix and feels like he may fall out sometimes. I am not sure how all of this is happening at the same time at 33w unless he is the longest baby ever!
Rants/Raves/Questions? he is still head down so !!! And my midwife said that since I'm a VBAC candidate and I will max have a few days past 40w to go into labor on my own that we can start membrane sweeps at 38w if I am favorable. Bad news was she said it feels like 10 seconds of hell. But I guess if I want to have a vaginal birth with no meds it's a good time to get the pain started!
GTKY: What have you done already to get ready for baby? I just painted the letters for his name and hopefully tomorrow DH will help me hang them and we can finish the nautical decal below it. Next stop is dusting off and putting crib back together and rug in his room and it should be about ready!

Any new symptoms or changes? Bathroom ALL DAY LONG! Movements are so much stronger! A lot more days of waking up with tons of pelvic pain. Maybe he's trying to engage or just sitting funny. Who knows.

GTKY: What have you done already to get ready for baby? We've cleaned out the nursery and painted it. I've painted the alphabet letters I'm hanging above the changing table. I've ordered his coming home outfit and a friend gave me a swing. DD HATED the mommaroo so I needed to get a new swing.

Upcoming appointments this week? Eta had my appointment today, all routine stuff. Got the tdap. Ob is happy with how baby and I are doing.
Any new symptoms or changes? I feel ok for the most part. Just trouble sleeping, hip pain, and get tired quickly. Nothing too bad.

GTKY: What have you done already to get ready for baby? We are getting a late start in terms of buying stuff because our family tradition is to get nothing until very close to the due date...just ordered the things he will need right away, ie stroller, car seat, ergobaby, boppy, crib, changer/ dresser. Nursery not set up yet at all...

Upcoming appointments this week? Had one earlier today. Met with an OB from the group my midwives work with to talk about my potential VBAC. She was awesome and I loved her. She was very supportive and reassuring and told me my chances were great and my risks were very low. Basically, told me exactly what I wanted to hear
Any new symptoms or changes? Feeling HUGE. Having trouble getting around. Yet everyone keeps telling me I look so small. A nurse at the OBs office today couldn't even tell I was pregnant. She was genuinely surprised I was 30 weeks. I'm not overweight and my belly is much bigger than the rest of my body so I don't know whether to be offended or flattered. Mostly I felt offended.

GTKY: What have you done already to get ready for baby? Just did the first bit of prep a few days ago by going through all the clothes my 21 MO daughter has outgrown and organizing them by size. Dresser should be brought over to the house this weekend (it's my old dresser...this poor baby is only getting a new crib and mattress but pretty much nothing else that's new) and I will put it all away in there. The room is painted and cleared out but the dresser is the only thing that will be in there until after she's born because we will be room sharing (with her in a Moses basket on a stand) for the first 4-6 months---depending on when she outgrows the basket. Her sister outgrew it at 5 months.

Upcoming appointments this week? Yep - I have my 30 week check in this Friday. I'm going every two weeks at this point and starting to rotate among the practice's other doctors so I can meet everyone before the big day. So far so good.
Any new symptoms or changes? In the weeks since I've posted, the main change has been just getting much bigger, which is definitely making stairs harder! Putting on shoes? Hilarious. Walking in general sometimes feels a little more challenging too. I've noticed some swelling at times above my ankles. Thankfully, my back pain is now pretty much in check with the combo of specialists I've been seeing.

Rant - I am so tired from all the stuff there is to do!!! Registry, appointments, pediatrician and doula interviews, talking to photographers for a maternity session, the nursery, phone calls with insurance, aligning mat leave plans with work - the list goes on and on and I can barely keep up! Oh and did I mention I've been traveling like crazy for work so I can get everything in before it's too late??? I'm writing this from a hotel room right now. Ugh. And what's this kid gonna be named???? Who knows. Lol.
Rave - We leave to Greece on our baby moon this Saturday! Crete, Santorini and Athens, here we come!!
GTKY: What have you done already to get ready for baby? I think i already ran through it all above! Haha. Yeah I'm in the midst of everything and pretty much nothing is ready. I think things will really start to come together in June once we are back from vacation. I'll be officially done with all travel and will start to truly slow things down so I can focus and enjoy the rest of this process (not that I haven't so far, it's just been a bit too nutso). I'm especially excited to put the nursery together. Most of the large pieces have been ordered - it's gonna be super cute!

Just sore everywhere all the time. Baby movements feel so much more aggressive- like every push/turn/punch/kick hurts.

Rave: I had DH paint my toes last night, because I got winded taking off the old pedicure and trimming my nails. He did a pretty good job.
GTKY: What have you done already to get ready for baby?
The nursery is painted, and we have a crib- but not mattress. And the car seat came in this week. I only got those two items because of sales/coupons. Kind of waiting on the other stuff for now. Having a shower in three weeks, and want to use my completion coupon to get any big stuff and any other smaller things we need, so I want to wait until after the shower to do that.
