Weekly Fitness Check In May 15th!

Hi guys!  Long time no see - I got sucked into a work tornado and I've been mostly absent from the bump (and my diet - yikes) but I'm back and thought I'd post the fitness check in, since I didn't see one yet!  Hope you're all well!

    I've been kind of off my diet for the last week or so, so I'm not weighing myself until next Monday because I don't want to get depressed!

    Fitness game plan for this week:
    Count calories, weights 2x, 30 min walk 5x.

    Did you meet last week's goals?
    Nope!  Didn't even set any!

    Fitness goal for this month:
    I want to lose 3-4 more pounds over the next two weeks.

    Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?
    Rants - between my work, my husband's work and a teething baby, I've just been in survival mode lately.  Looking forward to things (hopefully) calming down this week.  Additional rant - DD has her ear tube surgery tomorrow and I'm super nervous, even though I know it's totally routine.  Can't wait til it's over.  

    GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do to unwind and relax?
    A hot bath or a book and a glass of wine.  :)

    TTC GW 140 or less 

    Game plan is just little workouts here and there. Last week a coworker and I did 10 push-ups every half hour until 100, and then the same with squats another day. It was so easy and I could feel it a little the next day!

    Goal for this month, stick to little workouts. I'm HORRIBLE about working out, and if I would just do it then I would lose weight quicker. I'm thinking about this 30 day plank challenge a coworker told me about. By day 30 you hold plank for 5 minutes. I'll have to wait a few days before I start thought because I got mega sun burned yesterday...it hurst, lol.

    GTKY, I like to play stupid games or read fan fiction. By stupid games...I mean like right now I'm playing one of those "choose your story" games where you decide answers and the story changes based on your answers. Fun and meaningless, but gets my mind off of things.

  • @CecilB93 That game with your co worker sounds so fun!  In my old office the receptionist actually made an exercise wheel that she would spin and then we'd all do squats or lunges or whatever. I miss that.  Current office is very sedentary, but I'm thinking of walking up stairs on lunch breaks to switch things up.  Congrats on your .8 pound loss!  I'm hoping I'll see a loss again next Monday!
  • @maureenmce, I hope DD's surgery goes well! DS had his a year ago and it was great! I understand the worry though. I remember thinking "I know this is routine surgery, but please don't let DS be the ONE surgery that something goes wrong!" He slept a lot that day but the next day he was completely normal. 

    @CecilB93, I have looked at some monthly challenges. Let me know if you like the plank one. I'm thinking about doing something in June.

    Current weight: 141.1
    Goal weight: at this point whatever I can get 

    Fitness game plan for this week: honestly, I'm not making one which is terrible but grades are due, I have to pack my classroom, and then I am touring daycares. I'm physically and mentally exhausted. I'm giving myself a break this week.

    Did you meet last week's goals? Not at all. I didn't hit my steps at all and didn't workout at all. Although I didn't eat poorly, I didn't eat enough (super stressed). I lost 5 pounds last week which is not good (even if I appreciate the weight loss).

    Fitness goal for this month: I'm going to try to be as active as possible. So far May stinks so I'm just trying to get through.

    Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations? My rants and frustrations are long this week! I'm going to leave it as I don't do well with change and I have a lot changing right now.

    GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do to unwind and relax? Taking a hot bath

  • @maureenmce - Sorry you're in survival mode this week! Do what you need to take care of you. Hope your DD's ear tube surgery goes well! PS - love your book and wine unwind!

    @CecilB93 - congrats on your weight loss!! Anyway you can get some exercise in is awesome. 

    @JNCPro3130 - 5 pounds is awesome, but I wish you hadn't had to go through all that for it. :( Yay for giving yourself a break, i think you need it!

    Fitness game plan for this week: Ramp up the cardio - try to walk/run 10 miles! I've been averaging around 8, so this is a big jump. 

    Did you meet last week's goals? Didn't quite get in all the cardio for this week. I was close (under by about 20 minutes). 

    Fitness goal for this month: the weekly plan for the cardio should increase mileage by week. 

    Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations? So I lost my bet with my trainer - work was super stressful last week and there were cupcakes. I was 3 pounds short of the overall goal. Hoping AF's arrival would help shed some water weight at the last second, but I wasn't in luck. So I have a nasty interval workout full of stuff I hate (wall sits, burpees, the agility ladder) coming my way. It's going to stink, but I'm going to make the same bet again - hoping the motivation to avoid it a second time will help me keep away from the cupcakes!

    GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do to unwind and relax? I read all the escapist lit in the world. On a really bad day, with a giant glass of wine.

  • @maureenmce  GL with the surgery tomorrow, I'm sure everything will go well. 
    @CecilB93 No way I could plank for 5 minutes. I have done a plank challenge where you progressed the time each day. That's the way to go IMO. I did a 30 day ab challenge that I enjoyed that I am thinking i'm going to start again. I love those stupid games too that and clicker type games, those finding matches to clear boards and my current addiction is diner dash and papa louie pancakeria

    I have got to stop letting stress get the best of me. I am stress eating and not watching what I put in my mouth and I'm not exercising. Finals are this week so hopefully the will help with the stress. Eating healthy and exercise would help the stress but the stress drains the desire and energy.

    Fitness game plan for this week: Walking 7 miles/week, bringing (healthy) lunch.

    Did you meet last week's goals? I didn't buy lunch at all! So that's a win! But I only walked 5.75/7.0 miles.

    Fitness goal for this month: Walk 7 miles/week, "no spend" lunch 4/5 days.

    Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey? Any rants or raves? Frustrations? Nothing that I can think of!

    GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do to unwind and relax? I guess just mess around online. I play WAY too many app games (current is Age of Heroes: Conquest).
