On a couple occasions this year when I didn't feel like getting up to take the girls to preschool I didn't. I told them that there wasn't any school. Man it's really going to suck when they go off to real school : (.
DH has been gone all week (and next week) and I had a fleeting moment of dread going to pick up Jackie from daycare because it meant all the parenting duties would fall to me this weekend. I don't know how single moms do it.

Yep! When my husband left town for a week 9 days after cam was born I literally moved the kids and I into my parents for the week. Even with help all the wake ups and doing most things by myself, my parents helped me with the girls, almost killed me. I couldn't imagine having to do things truly alone!
ETA: sorry that the mid section makes absolutely no sense. I am far to tired to try and fix it though.
So after my slip and fall at McDonalds on Monday, the store manager contacted me 2 days after it happened (and only because I contacted them. The day I fell not one employee helped and no one took down my information) and asked me to come in to fill out an incident report. Their insurance company called yesterday to get my statement and said they would investigate my claim and determine if McDonalds was at fault. I find that interesting because if someone slips and falls because an employee was mopping and left a bunch of water on the floor and only had two caution signs for the entire lobby...how are they not at fault???

They have to say that while the investigation is open. Also, there are rules about square footage and number of signs, etc. And determining how much water is too much is tricky since it's relative and relies on peoples statements. I hope you're not still sore from the fall!
