Paid vacation for daycare providers?

Hello Boston moms,

Just wondering if it is standard for home daycare providers to receive paid vacations? I have seen a few contracts that outline the provider receiving 2 weeks paid, and clients are expected to pay for weeks during which their family takes vacations, as well. Is this typical?

    I've used 3 family daycares and everyone did something different. The first one and second I paid for the holidays but not for their vacations. She would give us one week  a year of free of vacation any additional weeks I had to pay.

    The third I didn't pay for her vacation but I did have to pay any vacation we took
